This gallant Nigerian soldier identified as Charles Ilo, who was seen praying while on a mission in the north -has reportedly been killed by Boko Haram insurgents. He was caught up in the battle against insurgency in the country. Our fallen heroes need to be recognized.

A policeman identified as Corporal Dangou was shot dead in front of a police post yesterday. According to online reports, his death may be connected to the fact that he was a strict cop who gave no chance to criminals in the area. Investigations are underway to bring the culprits to book.

Bad things happen more during festive period

A guy who had got himself drunk was driving past and suddenly, he hit a concrete slab close to a river which is located at the side of the road. The car which was already greatly damaged began to bring out flames. To prevent the car from being totally burnt, it was pushed into the river. The guy is still alive at the moment but in hospital. These photos were uploaded by a Facebook user in Edo State who witnessed the incident some few hours ago.

Fire razed some building at Kubuwa earlyhours of this morning, though the cause of the fire is not yet known to me but from the pictures I was able to lay my hands on, it shows that that its a serious fire outbreak. As at the point of publishing this report, Three trucks of firefighters were already at the scene but the fire hasn't been put out.
