If I buy a stock with N50m in January, and by June, it's done 100% and is then valued at N100m

Even if I sell and have no plans to remain on the market, I will sell for N100m, then repurchase for N100m and resell for N100m.


Two transaction tranches:.
First leg: I entered at N50m and exited at N100m , N50m gains .

It won't be taxable cos I'm deploying the process into the second tranch.


Second tranch:

I entered and N100m and exited at N100m

No profits hence no tax.

We've mentioned it here long time ago, and times without number that Meristem is only selling name but not living up to the expectations.
There are other big names in same category whose customer service is very terrible.
If you see anyone praising them, just know such person is one of their big customers.

Did you get contract note for the transaction, if your answer is no, then it has not be filled, but if yes........then give a call.
The order was fully filled...
The stock is no more in my portfolio.

T+3 means 3 work days after the transaction date, and it is a usual occurrence.
But they want to reduce it to T+2as from Nov28

These guys relentlessly attacking Ellah just want to crash the price. Their ring leader is the Oando don cast dude who has now loaded Oando and is the chief promoter.. the truth is that all these CEOs and directors always look for a way to make money off their companies and Ellah is no exception.. distasteful I agree but the constant vicious attacks are not borne out of a moral crusade to protect shareholders but to scare holders to sell and crash price so they can buy heavy. They missed the low price and are envious of those sitting in the bus. Anyone who panic sells because of the coming quarterly report is on his own. If you must sell, do so out of conviction and not panic. Also don't come back here to wail if price rallies after you sell. Finally, this same Oando don cast guy made me panic sell 400,000 units of Oando at N29 and immediately afterwards started singing Oando's praise. Do your due diligence. Not financial advice. Lol, many people pointed it out—myself included. I told the guys in DangSugar back then to get out because of all the issues. I also disclosed that I was entering Presco as a much better alternative. I've more than doubled since then. How are the sugar guys doing now? When the dust settles someday, I’ll be back with you on sugar, lol.
