newreality: Good evening, I need your help in understanding what Morgan Capital is up to, some things are not adding up in my portfolio. First , as at last Friday, the worth of my portfolio was reduced by about 27%, I am still trying to understand why & today, I bought ftncocoa, earlier it reflected among my stock in the portfolio & the cash was deducted from my cash balance, just now I checked & to my shock, the stock (ftncocoa) is not reflected in my list of stocks.
Please someone with knowledge of this things, should help me understand why this is happening. If you have more than 20 stocks in your profile... Look for page number at the top right corner of your page and click it |

I have been trap with number 10 like this... emmanuelewumi: The 20 Most Illiquid Stocks on the NGX as at May 15, 2026 and Why This Matters More Than Returns
Let me tell you something nobody is saying loudly enough right now.
The NGX has been on fire. Stocks up 40%, 70%, even more. People are excited and honestly, they should be. A bull run is a beautiful thing.
But there is a quiet danger hiding inside this excitement.
And it is called illiquidity.
Here is what illiquidity means in plain English: you can buy the stock today. You can watch the price go up. You can do the maths and feel rich on paper. But when the day comes that you need your money, when life happens, or the market turns, you cannot find anyone to buy it from you.
You are stuck.
That is not an investment. That is a trap with a nice-looking chart.
So I pulled the data.
Based on trading activity on 15 May 2026, these 20 stocks recorded the lowest trading volumes or zero activity on the entire NGX:
1. AFRINSURE 2. AFROMEDIA 3. AVAIF 4. BAPLC 5. EKOCORP 6. GOLDBREW 7. MOFIREIF 8. MULTITREX 9. JULI – 10. GEREGU (Geregu Power) 11. INFINITY 12. CNIF 13. CHELLARAM 14. MORISON 15. MULTIVERSE 16. ACADEMY 17. LIVINGTRUST 18. BETAGLAS m 19. ENAMELWA 20. NCR or similar thin names like AUSTINLAZ / others with under ~100k–few hundred k volume (exact ordering can vary slightly by source, but these consistently rank low).
Now let me be fair.
Some of these companies have solid fundamentals. Some may even deliver decent returns over time. This is not a list of bad companies.
But fundamentals alone do not protect you if you cannot exit.
Before you buy any stock , any stock at all , ask yourself one question:
“If I need to sell this tomorrow, will there be a buyer on the other side?”
Most investors obsess over buying. They research the price, the sector, the growth story. All of that matters.
But the experienced investor knows that entering a trade is the easy part.
Exiting is where the real skill lives.
Because in the stock market, it is not a profit until you can actually spend it.
Volumes shift frequently. Always do your own research before making any investment decision. |

Na wa oooo... You are now shooting real bullet ni... It doesn't have to be this way now.. emmanuelewumi: We think some people have over 20 years experience trading or investing on NGX.
But what they have is 6 months experience repeated over 40 times or best case scenario a year experience repeated over 20 times
Some people who joined NGX 4 years ago are better as per financial and investment education compared to some of these so called veterans |

elpaso007: I think it's fair to say Morgan's customer relations management system has collapsed. At least judging from my own experience with them currently.
You have to pray to never have a reason to reach out to them because it is been frustrating for me.
Anyone that's been able to teach recently should please share how they did.
Disappointing. What is really your issues that Morgan capital hasn't resolved!. You have been on this for a long time! |

nicestlady: I bought some shares in first bank public offer in 2007. I haven't received any dividend and some share certificates. I decided to reach out to their registrar (Meristem registrars) and submitted the dividend mandate. I was paid dividend for 7 years when it should have been at least 17 years since 2007.
I have yet to see the stocks in my CSCS account even though I contacted my stockbroker and submitted the required dematerialization and transfer form since 24th of February.
What do you advise I do as regards the unpaid dividends and stock not yet showing in my CSCS account? Thanks in advance. I think there's a particular period of time that an unpaid dividends will be valid |

Mankind2024: If GTCO jumped from ₦8.03 to ₦11.00 (a jump of roughly ₦3), Zenith might match the nominal increase or aim for a clean milestone. Adding ₦2 or ₦3 to Zenith's previous ₦5.00 yields ₦7.00 or ₦8.00.
Using the logic of competitive correlation, Zenith Bank is highly likely to increase its dividend for FYE 2025 to keep pace with GTCO's performance. Based on the principle of inductive logica, the most logical estimates fall between ₦6.85 and ₦7.00 per share. Chai uncle, upon all the grammar you blow, you still stick with 7 😭😭😭 |
