Sorry to intrude,I rather see it as someone standing up for herself.
She asked for friendship not money ,even if one has misgivings about making friends online,there are better ways to pass the message across,not coming across as miss/Mrs know it all.

I don’t mean to sound rude, but I don’t need more friends. Let me service and maintain the few I have. It is probably cheap for others, but for someone like me who is committed to friendships/relationships- I find it very expensive (emotionally, physically and financially) to maintain them.
