Setting politics aside, His Excellency, RMK, has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to the advancement of education in Kano State since assuming office in 1999. His administration opened doors of opportunity for countless young people through the award of scholarships, empowering them to pursue their academic aspirations. Beyond this, he played a pivotal role in strengthening the state’s educational infrastructure, including the establishment of two universities that continue to shape future generations. Taken together, these achievements underscore a clear and lasting legacy—one defined by meaningful investment in human capital and a deep dedication to educational development. |
Sorry for using a wrong word. I left when I was just a child, a very small child. sacajawea: |
Epe is the town where my earliest sense of life began more than forty years ago. I left with my parents in 1982 as an infant, yet the place still lives vividly in my mind. That long, steep road winding through Epe — whenever it appears on TV, no matter the day or time — I recognize it instantly. |
This is a big fat lie because the road construction from Aba to Port Harcourt is no where near 95% completion. I know because just last week, I travelled from Port Harcourt to Aba. |
May be he went to beg them to do the right thing, because in that 2019 gubernatorial election in Kano, the present governor, Abba Yusuf won the election, but APC rigged the election and the then governor, Abdullahi Ganduje was reelected. Even after meeting with the supreme court judges, Kwankwaso candidate, Abba Yusuf still lost at the supreme court. RichBoy247: |
[quote author=3seriez post=13828810e's not saying anything new here. Our Judiciary is for the highest bidder. It did not start today. When politicians tell you go to court, you think they don't know what they're doing.[/quote] |
The truth is PBAT won the 2023 election. Any contrary opinion is only influenced by sentiment. |
It's nice meeting you, too. I used to visit Top Camp whilst visiting a family friend or whilst passing through to Polo Club. Racoon: |
I was in Mokola barracks too in the 80's and early 90's with the 242 Recce battalion and later 244 Recce battalion that came from Enugu. 242 Recce battalion moved to Ikeja cantonment in 1987 and was replaced by 244 Recce battalion that came from Enugu. When did you live in Mokola barracks? Racoon: |
It is highly likely that PBAT will win reelection. Atiku and Obi have very limited chances because the political dynamics have shifted significantly since the 2023 elections. In 2023, Peter Obi received unusually high support in parts of the North, especially in the Christian‑dominated Middle Belt. He won Plateau, Nasarawa, and the FCT, and also secured large vote totals in Kaduna and Benue. Much of this support came from Christian voters who rejected the Muslim‑Muslim ticket, believing it might lead to discrimination. That concern is unlikely to shape the next election. Many voters now point to the PBAT administration’s record, which they view as balanced toward both Christian and Muslim communities in terms of appointments and project distribution. For example, the more than 300,000 votes Obi received in Kaduna in 2023—largely from Southern Kaduna—are unlikely to remain with him in 2027. PBAT has strengthened his support in that region by establishing a federal university in Southern Kaduna and appointing Chrsitopher Musa from the area as CDS, later elevating him to Minister of Defence. These developments suggest that those votes may shift toward PBAT in the next election. |
I disagree with this list with all my heart. South Africa is even in the list and Nigeria is not. SpencerForbes: |
Even as a Christian, I used to listen to this man's preaching on television in the 90's in Kaduna. |
By any means, whether mathematically or technically, Nigeria has qualified because with the remaining two games, Benin and Rwanda will meet and will either play draw or one takes three points so, even if Nigeria loses the remaining two games, it will finish second on the table. lalabrother: |
You don't expect a USD 20B refinery recently built to sell at a price lower than cost of production. Crude oil is sold to the Dangote refinery at international market price in Naira equivalent to current dollar exchange rate. What do you want him to do? To sell below cost price and kill the refinery? chatinent: |
There are always exceptions to a ruling party winning all elective seats in a state. For a state like Kaduna, it is almost impossible for a party to win all contested seats even if the party attempted rigging. Afrowits: |
This levy is not welcome. The government should explore other means of generating revenue. |
The Bachaman people are well represented in the military, especially in the Army. I missed my growing up in Mokola barracks and the lovely Abe's beauty who is Bachaman by tribe. onadana: |
Na statistics we go chop? |
That's what my people failed to understand or chose not to understand that pump price of petrol will be more than ₦1000 per liter if Dangote refinery sold directly to marketers except government supplies crude oil to the Dangote refinery at a subsidised rate. Gboss247: |
The cost of producing one liter of petrol is more than ₦800, so if Dangote is to sell to oil marketers, we should be expecting pump price to be more than ₦1000 per liter. Bear it in mind that crude oil is being sold to Dangote refinery at international market rates. Dannyset: |
Go build your refinery and sell at ₦300 sukar886: |
Tackling insecurity should be the main issues concerning next election. The present administration has failed woefully to address increasing crime and seems clueless and confused on how to effectively combat insecurity. |
Federal roads are in bad conditions, claiming the lives of thousands and costing motorists huge amount of money in repairs. It takes more than 2 hours to drive from Port Harcourt to Aba, a 60km road, due to bad condition of the road which $100m will be more than enough to fix but a government would be so insensitive to purchase an aircraft for the exclusive use of Mr. president. At a time when the government is telling citizens to make sacrifice because of its harsh economy policy, certainly, this purchase is a bad one and selfish. |
Rest in peace, great Kataf man. |
This disastrous performance is shameful and disgraceful and a reflection of the State of the nation. The minister of sports is solely responsible for this disaster and should honourably resign or sack if need be. |
Saba bread, the best those years (90's). It is almost impossible to be in Kaduna without eating Saba bread. More than 30 years after, the tales of how good the bread was still lingers on. Sangoamadioha1: |
I was with my parents who are still alive between 1982 and 1991 in Letmauk barracks Mokola - it was called 242 Recce battalion when troops moved from Epe, Lagos in 1982 and later named 244 Recce battalion when 242 was moved to Ikeja cantonment in 1987 and replaced with 244 Recce battalion from Ukwunanu, Enugu. Ajaokuta should be on the list. When I was there light would not blink for more than three months and was almost free then. God bless Ajaokuta "the steel city" |
I was only trying to point out that the rise in inflation is a general phenomenon and not only exclusive to Nigeria. seguno2: |
To be honest, inflation is on the rise globally including in the US. Ghana's own was more than 40% and only drops to 38% recently. |
Growing up in Ibadan in the 80s this company then was called Odua Investment Company limited and flooded the TV screen with the advert "Odua Investment Company limited egbon be eyan wa." |
More than 50 percent of customers are not metered and are billed under estimation. It's only fair that every customer is metered before tariff increase so that they manage their energy consumption. NLC should not protest the increase but demand energy metre for all. |
