NATIONAL Chairman of the APC, Chief John Odegie-Oyegun, yesterday, received top PDP leaders in Oredo Local Government Area including Mr. Ebima Ogbeide and over 3000 of their supporters into the APC, asserting that the PDP is dead in the state. Other top leaders of the party, who defected included Tony Anileh, Madam Goldenpenny, Pius Izemwingie, Ikponmwonsa Usiobafoh, Mrs. Vero Aguebor, Wilfred Enabulele, secretary ward 5, and Mr. Ebima Ogbeide. Oyegun asserted that the party was ready to accommodate more of the PDP leaders into the APC, saying “Massive development has already started in the state, and we welcome people who have the interest of the state and are progressive minded to join to continue with this development. Looking at the calibre of leaders defecting, I laugh when I see PDP boast of winning. Honestly, they are dead and buried in Edo.” Also speaking, Governor Adams Oshiomhole re-echoed Oyegun’s declaration, saying “the defection of Dennis Evbuomwan, the Oredo PDP leader, marked the end of the party in the state. For me, the coming of Evbuomwan, and other leaders of the PDP in Oredo, along with their unit leaders, means they are here with a complete story. The unit heads are the real people in the field.” http://9jaspotlights..com.ng/2016/09/edo-top-pdp-leaders-3000-others-dump.html?m=1

The naira on Wednesday appreciated against the dollar at the interbank, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports. The local currency closed at N316.24 to the dollar at the segment from N338.96 traded on Tuesday. At the Bureau De Change (BDC), the naira exchanged at N413, N530, and N460 against the dollar, pound sterling and the Euro, respectively. The naira, however, extended its losses at the parallel market, trading at N420, N535 and N461 against the dollar, Pound Sterling and the Euro, respectively. The naira was traded at N418, N531 and N461 to the dollar, pound sterling and Euro, respectively at the parallel market on Tuesday. Traders said that scarcity of foreign exchange was still taking toll on the market. Alhaji Aminu Gwadabe, the President, Association of Bureau De Change Operators of Nigeria (ABCON), said the dollar rate at the parallel market was unacceptable. “Evil forces at the market under the mask of speculators are profiting from the hike in the dollar rate.” Source: http://9jaspotlights..com.ng/2016/09/forex-naira-gains-strength-against.html?m=1

Brazil’s Senate has voted in favour of permanently removing President Dilma Rousseff from her office, in an impeachment trial set to end 13 years of leftist rule in the country, Al Jazeera reports. Sixty-one of 81 senators voted against Rousseff on Wednesday after a five-day trial and a lengthy overnight debate. “Today is the day that 61 men, many of them charged and corrupt, threw 54 million Brazilian votes in the garbage,” Rousseff tweeted minutes after the decision. In a separate vote senators decided not to ban Rousseff from seeking a public office for the next eight years. Al Jazeera reported that Rousseff was watching the session from the presidential palace and would speak a couple of hours after the vote at a news conference. She also said that the case was not expected to go any further as the charges were political, not criminal. Allies of Rousseff have signalled that they would take the case to the Supreme Court. But several motions filed to the country’s highest court throughout the impeachment proceedings have failed. Rousseff’s former vice-president turned rival Michel Temer, 75, was sworn in as president on Wednesday until the next scheduled election in late 2018. Rousseff, from the leftist Workers’ Party, is accused of taking illegal state loans to patch budget holes in 2014, masking the country’s problems as it slid into its deepest recession in decades. She told the Senate that she was innocent, saying the impeachment trial amounted to a right-wing coup d’etat. Rousseff asserted that impeachment was the price she paid for refusing to quash a wide-ranging police investigation into the state oil company Petrobras, saying that corrupt politicians conspired to oust her to derail the investigation into billions in kickbacks at the oil giant. She said it was “an irony of history” that she would be judged for crimes she did not commit, by people accused of serious crimes. The Workers’ Party under Rousseff and her predecessor Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is credited with raising around 29 million Brazilians out of poverty. But many now blame the party and Rousseff in particular for the country’s multiple ills. Source: http://9jaspotlights..com.ng/2016/09/brasil-senate-sacks-president-dilma.html?m=1

With few days to the governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, the Presidency has waded into the crisis over alleged plans by the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to impose an aspirant (Segun Abraham) on them. The Presidency which specifically said President Muhammad Buhari and the APC-led government had no preferred candidate in Ondo State, warned that “government will come hard on anyone that does anything that in anyway jeopardises the peace and security of Ondo State.” The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir David Lawal, made the clarification in Abuja, after a closed-door meeting with the 24 aspirants of the party in his office, which lasted about four hours. The SGF also demanded that 10 of the aspirants who had yet to sign an undertaking with the Department of State Services to be of good conduct would do so. He said, “We wish to reiterate that the government of President Muhammadu Buhari has no preferred candidate among the 24 aspirants and the government will do all in its powers to provide a level-playing field for all the 24 APC governorship aspirants. We expect that every one of the aspirants will work hard to be in the favour of the delegates. We expect there should be no inducement of delegates and there will be no violence during the election. “I will like to also assure the people that all the security agents will be properly briefed and properly deployed to guarantee the safety and security of lives and property of the people of Ondo State, delegates and aspirants alike. The President wishes each and every one of you the best of luck. For whoever emerges as the successful candidate on Saturday, be rest assured that you have the full support of the machinery of the party behind you. “We like to reassure the people that as a government, there is no preferred candidate and as a government, we will work hard to ensure that everyone is given a level-playing field so that anyone that God has ordained as the preferred candidate will so emerge. All the other aspirants have agreed to line-up behind whoever emerges so that we move forward. I want to assure you that soon, Ondo State will become an APC state.” The National Secretary of the APC, Mai Mala Buni, also restated the position of its leadership to provide a level-playing field for all aspirants. “This party (APC) is committed to providing free and fair election because the members that we are sending to conduct this primary election are up to the task. “As for the question of either camping or inducing delegates, I am sure our delegates are people that no one can control their minds. Nobody at any level will influence their decisions”, he stated. http://9jaspotlights..com.ng/2016/08/ondo-primary-buhari-has-no-preferred.html

guys don't get deceived here are some advantages of dating tall girls
We compliment your genes: it's hard to see a tall woman give birth to a dwarf kid. Even if her hubby is short, her kids come out average. So if u a short guy and u dating a short babe, have a rethink! You sure don't want a pygmy for a kid.
