The Bible does not teach that pastors should sell or not sell goods and services. That's why there are both full time and part time pastors. The OP is talking about full time pastors as he never indicated that the pastors he talked about have side businesses. Hence, the response to him is justifiably in reference to full time pastors.

Ok good....for the fact that a pastor is into full time ministry does not make him entitled to money from members. A pastor is supposed to work for himself if there are no funds coming from his members. Mind you, evangelism is not only for pastors but for all who call themselves Christians.

There's no truth in it. It's pure ignorance.

The pastor's work is spiritual while the members' work is physical. The pastor can pray and influence physical provision for the members because the members have services and goods they're selling. By commanding favour on the members' business, their services and goods will sell and produce money. Meanwhile, the pastor has no service or goods to sell other than his spiritual job of helping those who sell services or goods. After the prayer of the pastor is answered, it is the responsibility of the members to support the pastor to keep him and his spiritual work alive.

However , pastors do share material things with members too whenever they need help. He shares with them and also prays for them.

Where does the Bible teach that pastors should not sell services or goods to support themselves just like their members?
