Travel / Re: LASG Unveils Lagos Ride Scheme. by michaelala(m): 4:46am On Feb 22, 2022
wonder233:
The most futile exercise a govt can embark on is buying cars. In a few years, you won't see these cars again.
Whether under the guise of "empowerment" or any such political jargons, it is simply a means of awarding juicy procurement contracts to cronies.
If the govt is serious, it should focus attention to delivering intra-state fast light rail networks, link water ways, open up the hinterlands to spread development and aid decongestion of the city centre.
Sttategic planning not pedestrian politics of buying cars

Tell me bro, which of the above has Lagos not done already? Mind you, our brt buses are still plying the roads daily while the numbers are increasing from time to time and people are being empowered. I believe this will work too.

Buhari will be shocked after February 16 this I can assure you. That guy is a terrible man, I mean a man travelled down all the way from US and just had few hours to prepare himself for the debate and all what Buhari could do is to scram?

Mmmmm, you mean he trekked "all the way" from the US to attend the debate?

I just SMH at so many youths in this country

Buhari is.bad? But it can never ever be Atiku

I hope it won't be too late before they see reasons. I won't blame them, most of them are products of 16year mis-rule so they see anormallies as norms.
God help Nigeria.

To be honest, I haven't. But I have promised myself that before I purchase any of those stuffs I must hav seen it running or being used efficiently by someone. That's jxt the reason I hav bin going up n down to see things wt my eyes.

Unfortunately, most people ain't really open enough. They jxt won't grant u access into the main production room.

Its not so safe to grant access to your production area. People poach staffs and steal recipe etc

Actually, the original plan and budget was 2m but I was surprised when I ran into a thread here tht said 600k could start one. During the course of my finding I discovered it's very possible even wt a little lower than that but it's not the kind of standard I desire. Too much stress wt the local equipments.

Sir, if you want to make premium bread that stands out, then you must be concerned about the kind of equipment you use.

Ah! Yhu jxt mentioned one of my biggest concern; Electricity!
It's actually one of the thinz I am putting into consideration. As for oven, I won't be spending that much for it. I have seen some very affordable ones during my findings.

I will still post some details later.

Please have you considered the efficiency of the said affordable oven?
Business / Re: Thread For Bakery Owners And Intending Owners In Nigeria by michaelala(m): 11:31pm On Jan 14, 2019
Its a very interesting topic and I've read some of the comments and I'll just add a bit.

Who ever told you that N600k is good to go is seriously lying. There's no way you won't spend at least N3m to N5m even for a hot bread shop!

I set up bakeries for a living, and I design and manufacture ROTARY OVENS here in Nigeria. I also own a bread shop at Abule Egba in Lagos where I have on of my ovens working. So I know what I'm talking about.

That's actually not fair.

The wanted has been captured so why extending it to the family.

Let all well meaning Nigerians condemn this act by the Nigerian police.

There cannot be justice without fairness

Like seriously!
So because the children of a senator sleep without electricity at night now makes it horrific?
Well, we have been enjoying this horrific conditions since "tey they"! And your senators are not seeing it!

Nonsense. Lets be reasonable for once and put sentiments a side. Compare it with porthacourt, uyo, ekot, bonny and brass not with that. Besides, Lagos generally was not built with oil money. Lagos was built with investment (both locals and internationally), being former capital.Abuja, i may agree to some extent but I learnt that asari dokubo spent billion of dollars to build university in bennin republic and he has nationality of the country. That would have gone a long way in ND.

You nailed it sir!, it's the order of the day now to gather up with some lazy locals and start destroying a developing community, and like a bro said earlier, by the time attention is shifted from oil, let's see what remains of the region.

If Jonathan was in office as VP for a couple of years and as the C in C for six years and they have nothing to show for it, then Bubuhari has not committed any sin yet in one year.

The region has legislative officers at both state and federal level but they are busy buying the sportiest of expensive automobiles and partying abroad, not minding the situation at "home", so who is foolin who?
