When we got to the hotel, I moved in with Ada, as I was about paying for room, my phone rang, when I checked, it was a foreign number so I picked because I knew it'll be my boss.
It was my boss so he asked me about shop and business and also his daughter and I told him all are fine. "our goods are ready so we're going to shift it any moment from now so I'll soon be back in Nigeria. Thereafter he hung up and I squeezed my face, Ada noticed what was happening so she asked me what the problem is and I told her that our boss will soon come back to Nigeria because our goods are ready.
I lost appetite of going out with Ada immediately. Ada was persuading me to go in when my phone rang. It was Vivian so I picked the call and kept quiet. "Please close shop now and come back house, come with 5k" she said. I pleaded with Ada that I want to go back to shop and I'll from then go house. I gave her 2k to buy something for herself but she refused to take it. She left without waiting for me to take her home so I drove to the shop and took the 5k Vivian said I'll give her. On getting home, she is not at home so I didn't even bother to call her so I took my bath and entered kitchen.
She left small beans on the pot,she scattered plate all over the place so just turned around straight to sitting room. As I was pressing phone, few minutes Vivian entered,i ignored her, she walked to her room.
Few minutes later, she came to the sitting room and sat down, she was also pressing her phone. She tied towel so I left the sitting room to my room and lie down on the bed. She entered in few minutes, "Chisom so if I didn't ask you about the money I told you to bring, you wouldn't give me abi?" Vivian said.
I stood up and brought the money and gave to her. She took the money and stood there and was mopping at me.
Vivian: Chisom I thought I asked you question?
Me: Please Vivian go with your problem, am not in the mood for that ok. Just let me be.
Vivian: am I the one you're talking to like that?
Me: Am done with you, when you're true, the door is open.
She left in anger. Soon I slept off and woke up in the midnight by a cry am hearing from Vivian room, when I rush, she was holding her one leg crying. I rushed in immediately and was asking her what happened and she told me that scorpion bite her. I rushed inside the kitchen and got onion with red oil. She took the two and I started looking for the scorpion to the direction Vivian said it entered. I couldn't fine it so very soon she was calm and I told her to go to her daddy's room and go and sleep since I didn't see the scorpion. "I'll follow you to your room and sleep there. I agreed,we entered my room. She laid on the bed while I laid on the floor. "Chisom Come to the bed and stop lying on the floor" She said. I told her that am ok lying on the floor but she insisted. I laid down on the bed with her.
An hour later, I slept off and woke up by a call from Ada. Vivian was looking at me as I picked the call. "I'll call you in the morning,am really in a deep sleep please" I said to Ada. She hung up immediately. Vivian woke up and sat on the bed, I pretended as if I didn't notice her. She robbed my back and I woke up too and sat on the bed.

Vivian: Chisom I love you!
Me: really?
Vivian: yes.
Me: I don't believe that. So you love me and you're busy maltreating me that way.
Vivian: I'm very sorry,the reason why I do what I did is not any other thing but to know if you still love me. Secondly ever since you came to this house, I started hating my boyfriend because of you,now we've separated because I want to be with you,please Chisom let's continue from where we stopped. Me: I will take you to intercontinental hotel here in Victoria island.

When my boss got prepared, I escorted him to the road in the morning, where he’ll board a taxi to airport. When he left, I went to the shop. Narrow and Ada had already tidy everywhere and kept everything in order. When I saw Vivian, I was extremely shock, I couldn’t concentrate again. She was also surprised seeing me. I maintain as if I didn’t know her so that the parent will not find out that I dated their daughter. My boss introduced me to his family and they all welcomed me to their abode. “Vivian take him to his room and get him something to eat” my boss said.
Vivian took my bag and I was following her at the back till we get to the room. I sat down in tears and Vivian too. We shedded tears for some minutes before I held her and looked into her eyes, “Vivian this world is just a small place that you wouldn’t know where you’ll be next. I’m very sorry,i really missed you. I didn’t know life will be like this. “Get your filthy hands off me, you bitch, after breaking my heart and go away, you think I’ll be happy with you. Since God decided to punish you by bringing you to our house, you are finished.” Vivian voiced out. I staggered on hearing that. I couldn’t remember doing anything wrong to her during our secondary school. “Vivian, I hope you know who you’re talking to? Vivian is me Chisom. Did I done anything wrong to you? Why are you sounding like this? ”
I couldn’t finish what am saying she left the room and I sat down and started the second round of cry.
I reflected over our past, and still yet didn’t figure out where i wronged her.
Why is she angry with me?
Did I do anything wrong to her in our past?
I kept on questioning my self but couldn’t get any tangible answer to myself.
I entered the bathroom and took a quick bath, then I change to red sleeveless polo and a white track.
I called my mum on phone notify her of my arrival to Lagos. She was very happy and excited hearing that God grant us journey mercy. After I hung the call, I went down to kitchen to know if I would be of help to Vivian but revise is the case. She insulted me and push me out of the kitchen telling me not to enter her kitchen again.
I left her in tear. Should I just leave this house for Vivian and her father I said within me. But if I leave now, what will become of my mother and my younger ones who’s looking up to me. Then I decide to endure all, and be mentally prepared for Vivian an her evil ways.
I later returned to my room and lie flat on my well perfumed bed still in tears, my heart is broken because of Vivian. Why is she doing this to me? Is it because things turn out to favour her?
All this questions are left unanswered when my boss called me in the parlour.
Boss : sit down

As I was still doing my work on her local, she shouted in joy and scream my name, I pulled my short immediately and as I was to slide in, I woke up from bed.
“Jesus! So this is a dream? Thank God,its just a mere dream. I remembered that she gave me appoint to come to her house, hmm.. Am not going anywhere in the morning. I don’t want this thing that I got from revelation to come to reality. I checked time and it was 2am. I couldn’t sleep again because I was carried away by the dream,i was just smiling at my self. In the morning, I got dressed up for church. After Sunday service, I couldn’t go to her house as we planned. The next day in school, I didn’t see Mrs Betty in school. On Wednesday I was summoned in her office. When I went there, she started asking me why I didn’t come as discussed. I told her that house chores was much so I didn’t have chance to come. She just asked me one or two questions before I left her office.
After the term, during holidays period, we were attending extra moral lesson in the school to backup with the one we have learnt. After lesson one Saturday, Vivian said she want to know my house but I declined.
She insisted that she must know my house but I still desist. She started following me to where ever I go. I thought of what to do, so I took her to my friend’s house. He then, excused us,leaving only Vivian and I in the house. I started feeling shy with the way Vivian were looking at me. “why are you looking at me in that manner? “I asked sheepishly. Before I could know what was happening, she started kissing me. I romanced her for some minutes before I sex her. I feel so relieve after the act,she was laying her head on my tommy. On the date we fixed, I traveled to Lagos to my uncles house. I stayed there for some month before his friend and visited him and took me. I packed in to his house, on getting there, I saw Vivian.

As I was thinking about this, I slept off and woke up by the knock on the door. When I opened, it was my mum. My eyes cleared,”Chai I suppose to go to market to help her but I forgot” . My mum was standing at the door looking at me. I don’t even know the lie I’ll fabricate. I greeted her but she ignored and asked me what I was doing in the house. I was muted because I don’t know the excuse I’ll give her. “Mum am so sorry, when I came back from school, I was fatigue so I wanted to rest a little before I’ll come to the market, I slept off. ” I explained. She scolded me before forgiving me.
I helped her in the kitchen to prepare dinner. Thereafter, she asked me how about the new school, how is their environment and teaching. I told her all I saw but not issue of Vivian and Mary.
The next day in school, i didn’t talk to any of them in school (Vivian and Mary). I attended school thrice but I didn’t still talk to them but they are looking for means to have my attention but I kept dumb ears, I did as if they don’t exist.
One precious day, I was in the classroom when Our biology teacher sent for me in her office

If someone told me that am going to be an O’level holder, I’ll curse the person. During my days in secondary school my dream then was to be a medical doctor but where am I today,nobody to determine.

The day I lost my father, was the day my dream of becoming a medical doctor was lost. During my secondary school time, life became hard for me and my brothers and my mum. On Sunday morning, my mom called out on me and my elder brother to the sitting room for a brief word of encouragement.
Mom: since i lost your father in ghastly motor accident, I find it hard to feed you and you younger ones. Please my son, I want you to follow my brother to Benue state to learn trade. I believe he will settle you well so that you will help to train others.
**The name of my elder brother is Kelvin. He is tall and dark in complexion. During the period we lost our father, he is in ss2 while am in jss3. He normally tells me on how he will become a doctor when he finished school. The world is wicked I can’t believe that his dream just shattered like that. When the desirable is not available,the available becomes desirable. ***
Kelvin: mom I know how you feel, don’t worry I will do my best and make sure that I make it in life.
Here comes Monday morning as he was preparing to travel, he called me in the sitting room
Kelvin: chisom did you know why I called you here
Me : no
Kelvin: I just want you to take good care of mama when am gone. Make sure you obey her and never cause her pain. Work hard to pass your waec. I will be traveling to Benue state this morning. After saying that he bent down and wept.
Me: bros stop crying. I promise to take good care of mama. Won’t disappoint you and I will also try my best to make my waec.

EPISODE 2
When my mum and I saw him off, I started feeling lonely due to my brother was so dearly to me. He is more than a brother. We went back to the house.
Living with my mum without my senior brother was not easy for me then. When I go to school, after dismissal, I ran quickly to the house and took my lunch and find my way to the market where my mum runs her petty business and starts helping her. I took the place of my elder brother, I didn’t even have chance of myself. There are some of the things I do which I later put to an end. After the term in the school, I couldn’t continue in the school again because the school fees of the school is too much which my mother can’t afford. I was withdrawn from the private school and I’ve to continue my secondary school in government school.
I got registered in the school, the first day I went to school, I couldn’t find the classroom of SS1 so I was stranded. I stood there for almost 10mins before one pretty damsel came outside to ease herself. I just allowed her to attend to her problem first. As she came out from the toilet, I stopped her.
