As for GMB, I sincerely congratulate him (though not really happy)for his doggedness and persistence as he never gave up which has paid off for him. The burden has now shifted to you and APC to show if you possess such unique character. We are waiting to see if APC are true democrats of the breed of GEJ. Four years in the life of a nation is too short. It will come and go before we know it. Let us look beyond 2015 and towards 2019 to see if GMB and APC are truly committed to the democratic advancement of Nigeria or that they are mere opportunist who just took advantage of the weaknesses of a true democrat. The POWER bestowed on the NIGERIA president by the our constitution is enormous!!!!! President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan has these powers in his hand to weild his sword to his advantage... he could have decide to take a drastic step and lots of lives will be lost, he could |

Nkechi Onwuasoanya Fred : President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan. President emeritus, a man with laudable intergrity, you laid the foundation for democracy for the first time in the history of Nigeria, you cleaned up electoral process for the very first time, you have written your name in Gold, you have done well the whole world commends you, a gesture worth emulating and you have bowed out honourably without mess! You are indeed a leader. We all know who the trouble makers are!!!!!! You sacrificed your presidency that Nigeria may know peace and move forward. What manner of man is GEJ. A special breed! Love for country over self and the lures and lust of power. No wonder he is a child of destiny. God has used him to show us that good can still come out of Nigeria. I salute your courage. Every ruler has a purpose in God's overall agenda. You should be celebrated like a true General of Nigeria who gave up all for the sake of the Nation. A rare breed. |

Amah Williams THE LAST LAUGH - The Birth of The Father of Modern Nigeria Democracy! General Buhari contested elections three times before now and he lost. Blood were shed on the streets and lives were loss because of those defeats. Goodluck Jonathan had only lost once in an election he could had swayed in his favour, having all the machinery of the Commander-in-Chief at his disposal, yet hours to the official announcements of the final results he conceded victory and congratulated the man who always threw childish tantrum whenever he loses an election. Goodluck Jonathan is undoubtedly THE FATHER OF MODERN NIGERIA DEMOCRACY. He had shamed President Barack Obama and his uncouth Foreign Secretaries who had in more ways and in many fora than one embarrassed and insulted Nigeria on account of his signing of the Anti-Same Sex Marriage Bill into Law. We have voted for you, and our party won the election, but when you assume our highest office, you must become the president of not just the APC, but all of Nigeria, including the people who did not vote for you. We look up to you to heal the fractures of our country, and truly unite this country like never before. “To President Jonathan, I want to specially thank you for conducting a historic election. Your party may have lost the elections, but you have won the admiration of the world by not interfering with the wishes of Nigerians. History will be kind to you. “It is my sincere hope that we will all come together as one country, to build the Nigeria of our dreams. eology of justice, fair play and zero tolerance for corruption as the bedrock for national rebirth. “At this historic moment, it is most important to say a hearty thank you to every Nigerian who voted for the APC. Your votes have not just elected the first opposition party into federal power, but has also set a precedent which will have positive implications for democracy across Africa. “Dear GMB, the journey has just begun. Millions of Nigerians have put their trust in you, because they were not satisfied with the status quo. You represent the hope of a new generation of Nigerians, and you cannot afford to fail them. Our party has made a promise of change to our young people, to secure and rebuild our country, create jobs and opportunity, and improve citizens’ welfare. We will stand behind you to ensure we keep those promises, just like we did during these elections. 1 Like 1 Share |
