Politics › Kalu Reacts To Posters Of 2019 Presidency by mickybeejay(op): 3:04pm On Nov 01, 2017 |
Orji Kalu, former Abia State governor on
Wednesday distanced himself from
campaign posters claiming that he will
run for President in 2019.
The All Progressives Congress, APC,
chieftain maintained that the posters
cited along airport road, Abuja, with the
inscription: “Vote Orji Kalu for President
on the platform of the APC” were the
handiwork of political jobbers and
speculators.
Kalu reaffirmed his support for President
Muhammadu Buhari should he decide to
contest in 2019.
In a statement signed and issued in
Abuja by his Special Adviser, Kunle
Oyewumi, the former governor insisted
that the North should be allowed to
complete their eight years before Igbo
take their rightful turn in 2023.
He said,”After a two-week business trip
to China, to my surprise on my way from
Nnamdi Azikwe International airport,
Abuja this morning, I sighted the
malicious posters in my name with the
caption: ‘Kalu for President’.
“It is definitely the handiwork of some
politicians who are either afraid of my
political capacity or enemies of the
present administration as I have
continually maintained my support for Mr.
President.
“The action of these jobless politicians is
a ploy to damage the robust relationship
I have with President Buhari and the top
hierarchy of the APC. “Such political blackmail is not only
disheartening but unhealthy for Nigeria’s
growing democracy.
“While I call on the unsuspecting public,
especially members of the APC, to
disregard the vicious posters, I am also
reaffirming my unflinching and unaltered
support for Mr. President.
“I will contest in 2019 by the grace of God but definitely not for President.” |

Travel › US Threatens To Bar Nigerian Airlines by mickybeejay(op): 3:46pm On Sep 05, 2017 |
The United States federal aviation administration has given Nigerian airlines a 65-day ultimatum to resolve specified security issues or risk being barred from flying to its country.
A team of US FAA officials who recently carried out an audit for the renewal of Nigeria’s category one safety status gave the ultimatum on August 24.
The US FAA periodically check foreign airports with which it has bilateral agreements to ensure they meet set standards.
The checks include having effective and efficient aviation regulations, operational state civil aviation systems and safety oversight functions and technical personnel qualification and training.
Others include the provision of technical guidance, tools, provision of safety-critical information, licensing, certification, authorisation and approval obligations.
John Ojikutu, member of aviation industry think tank, Aviation Round Table (ART) and CEO of Centurion Securities, told BusinessDay that he doubts if Nigeria can attain the category one safety status without having its major airports certified.
Ojikutu said airport certification is compliant to the Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations (NCAR) Part 12.6.4, which carries obligations on the operator to continuously maintain standards and competence in operation and ensuring availability of skilled manpower in sufficient numbers, for the periodic maintenance of the facilities and the system.
“Many stakeholders would probably be asking; what is the necessity for the certification when the industry was already classified category one?” he said.
“What many do not know, however, is that the classification of Nigeria as Category one, was meant only for the NCAA Regulations and oversight competence, the way university academic programs are rated or accredited by the Nigeria Universities Commission (NUC).
“Unfortunately, the NCAA is like a university that has been long accredited but has not been able to graduate a student. The NCAA, in spite of its category one status classification in 2010 and even today in 2017 after its reclassification, has not been able to give certification to a single airport among the over 28 federal and state airports in the country.” https://www.thecable.ng/us-nigerian-airlines-65-days-ultimatum-resolve-challenges-barred

ImaIma1: This definition of a great man means he won't be earning 35k when he gets married. Except he is just a thinker without action. The kind of men they call "acting big man" What if he has an ongoing project that he's working on before before the marriage and the project has started yielding a positive result( known to him only) and he's earning 35k at present........ can't he go ahead with the marriage? |

DouglasH92: I quoted you because I have the right to quote anyone. Every registered user on this forum has this right. I also quoted you because your opinion is agonizingly naive. Stop being idealistic and face reality. Stop reasoning like a child. Only a foolish, ignorant and unambitious woman who is addicted to suffering and poverty would marry man who earns 35,000 naira a month. Pls can u mention some of the great men that got married to their wives after they might have reach a greater height. And with the way you are talking, you should be earning nothing less than 500k a month otherwise you are on a long thing. |

DouglasH92: Lol. What kind of Disney mindset do you romance section girls have sef? Do you understand what marriage is? The is not about real man sticking with you or about dreams and passion. This is about your future and that of your children. What kind of life would you live with a 35,000 salary? How would you feed under this budget? How would you meet your needs under this budget when you take out the minor expenses like transport and other monthly bills? What can 35,000 a month afford you? Let's say you have children while he is still earning this salary, how would your children fair?
Great men don't get married when they can't afford to take care of themselves, let alone another person. Great men aren't stupid. You are making it sound as if that's what his salary will be throughout his lifetime. And what's ur definition for the so called great men.... To me great men are big thinkers who can capitalized on their ideas and put it into action, they are one who are persistent in achieving the big pictures |

Turks: 100 will eat at least 10.25kg of feed daily (POL). That's about half bag. A bag of top feed layer mash goes for about 3850 (Location dependent). Egg production shouldn't be less than 80% for profit. We supply POL if you don't mind sir how much is it per bird |
