Smily202: Did you have any information on this map. Baije discovered and made this statement? No. I don't have any information on the map. Neither do you. From the subtitle Bajie didn't say they have numerous branches. Maybe they do. But it didn't say. The map could be a map of the world in the series. For example, where the River Kings sold Sunny to in Season 2 it wasn't in the badlands but maybe in that map. Stuffs like that. |

Semtu: You are just so hell-bent on criticizing the writers that you fail to comprehend logical reasoning
First of all, the black Lotus existing for close to 500 years makes perfect sense because the apocalyptic event which destroyed the old world happened 500 years ago and that was when the first dark ones appeared ( 500yrs ago).
The dark ones are scattered over the world. Most of The Master's Abbots didn't even know shit about Azra, because when pilgrim spoke to them about it, they all looked clueless. Meaning the dark ones are everywhere and definitely not from Azra alone.
Azra is just a civilization, who had more knowledge about the gift and also how to create more dark ones. For all we know, there were just even few dark ones at Azra.
And how can you even assume that Sunny's father is the first dark one?... Ankara is older than him, even The Master should also be older than him... And these are just the ones we know about.
Enjoy the movie rather than trying to look for flaws in it Chill bro. No need to be hot tampered. Life no hard reach that level. I can't say for everybody. But me am not looking for flaws in this series. Na the flaws dey look for me. All what you said up there are valid and well articulated. But let's not act as if the second half of the season 3 isn't crap 'compared' to season 1 & 2. The plots got more silly and s-tupid at least for me. |

Smily202: I Wanna ask, with this Magnus quote " Black Lotus has been in existence for 500 years passing information to generations to generations and have so many branches in the Badlands"
Does it mean the Dark gift just started with Sunny's Father IN Azra or just misquoted words they think their viewers won't notice?
Because using the storyline, they made us to know that Azra are the first people to have the gift till after destruction that made them scatter. No ooooo. You got it all wrong. Magnus didn't say the Black Lotus Cult have branches all over Badlands. He only told Sunny that Badlands isn't the only place where they are dark gifted ones. The dark gifted didn't first start with Sunny's dad in Azra. At least AMC didn't say the first place it started. Magnus said he with the help of Ankara had found a place (Azra) where they (the Azra people) had found a way to create dark gifted ones. Azra isn't just a place in the Badlands you could just walk into. They were hidden from the rest of the Badlands. Remember, Sunny's dad was surprised when his men brought Magnus and the other two Black Lotus Cult member saying he found them. They (Magnus and his guys) had a scroll with them with directions written on it about Azra. Magnus and Ankara found that scroll together at the monastery or Ankara did most of the findings. The thing is Magnus deceived Ankara into believing he was also looking for sanctuary. Ankara never knew Magnus was going to destroy Azra. She taught he was on his side and together they had discovered a safe haven (Azra). |

TheKingIsHere: This is my exact thoughts.
How on earth did magnus destroy azra?
Well from the looks of things, we will never know Bro. That plot is easily understandable compare to others. Azra just started creating dark ones not everyone in that place had the darj gift. It's just like Pilgrim and his disciples right now. Only Pilgrim and the 8 harbingers possess the dark gift. Even though they are other warriors Living with them. Sunny's father ( in the flashback) was surprised Magnus had found out about them. Magnus and Black Lotus Cult isn't just fighters. They are warriors who dedicate their whole lifes into eradicating the world of the dark gift. I believe this plot can be pardon for AMC as opposed to much worse plots. |

Topmaike007: just want HBO to handle the series after GOT has ended cos I see this into the Badland as another hit Is not as if HBO will be free when GOT ends. They are working on a prequel called "Lone Night" I think. And George R. R. Martin having stated before that "The Song of Ice and Fire" can easily have 4-6 series from it. So HBO won't be free in schedules and stuffs to do. Simply cause GOT has ended. I support you though in them picking up Into The Badlands. But at this moment the chances are very slim. |

yehmy: We are yet to even watch how magnus betrayed Ankara. Most of u fast forward the talk part reason why u don't get the story line.
Sunny asked magnus, why is it that not until past weeks he just started hearing about the black lotus and magnus replied they have been in hiding for 500years passing the knowledge to generation. Why didn't they attack all the dark gift in the monestary since? Why when pilgrim came they needed another dark gift that is more superior? It's bcuz the black lotus can't match the dark gift. But they are well trained to fight.
Sunny sister was tied to a chain after being captured tortured but she did all that to keep sunny safe. Even the brain washing they did is bcuz she herself knew they are a treat to mankind (people are afraid of what they don't understand, that is why Sunny father did not want people to know of their existence)
If the black lotus gain access to the dark gift they will all want to use it for their own advantage (Reason why Magnus didn't kill sunny sister when they captured her.)
The master told the widow the reason why she's putting dark gift into sleep bcuz he didn't want them to harm manking not knowing nemesis will catch up with her and she instruct widow to allow everyone be equal and nobody should be a master (the last task given to widow) Yehmy all what you are saying is true. It's happening in the series. And I don't know why you think am disputing it cause I'm not. Please I hope am not among the people you're referring that fast forward to action scene and pay attention to story line. Cause I'm sure it's not me. The storyline is getting more foo-lish that's what I'm saying. I pay attention to the storyline, all what you say I know. But what I'm saying is the storyline has stopped making SENSE. When Magnus told Sunny they have been in hiding for over 500 years passing knowledge from generation to generation, he wasn't saying they were hiding literally. He is just saying the Cult is a shadow cult that operates in the shadows. Is Magnus more than 500 years old? Was he not the one that attacked Azra. Remember, the Black Lotus Cult attacked Sunny in season 2 when the River King sent a message to them that Sunny is alive. So please, it's not as if they haven't been active for the last 500 years. They have, but just operates in the shadow, like very few people knew of their existence. And please don't say the Black Lotus Cult can't match the dark gift cause they can. At least that's what AMC is saying. Remember Ankara said the Cult is a devoted group of men who train all their lives learning to fight against dark ones. Magnus said they have been passing knowledge from generation to generation, what knowledge do you think he was talking about. It was knowledge related to the dark gifts and how to beat them. Dark gifts have different levels as we have seen. Maybe they can't match Pilgrim and Sunny's dark gift but they can match the rest. When Sunny and Castor babe went to the North to meet Ankara she had already killed a lot of the Black Lotus. But then when the Black Lotus came for she, Sunny and Bajie she couldn't do anything. Go and watch that scene again, she went into dark mode and just stood there. If though the cult members used chains to hold her hands, she could have at least move. She just stood there like wood until Magnus came in and off her dark. If Ankara could beat those Black Lotus Cult we saw in the north all lying dead, what stops her from fighting with the ones that came for her, Sunny and Bajie. Things like this is why we (at least me) say AMC are silly. One moment they make you believe someone is very powerful and then another moment, someone less powerful easily kills the person. |

Please guys there is a limit to how we can defend AMC. Episode 12 was bad, we all lamented but hoped they will attorn for it in episode 13. Only for us (well, me personally) to be more disappointed.
You can't tell me you don't notice the bad writing in the second half of this season 3 compared to season 1 and 2.
If this series had began from this second half of season 3, God knows I won't have been a fan. AMC messed up, let's not act as if they didn't.
We have only three episodes more before they this nightmare ends for me. Hopefully a sensible network takes it up. |

yehmy: You can do better if you rewatch. Sunny told her she was brainwashed the same way quinn brainwashed him. Remember they were still small when they took them in Geezzz!!! Guy I tell you say I no know she was brainwashed. You say small, the flashback we saw, Sunny was way smaller. His sister was clearly more matured and could even lock gifts at that age. Clearly she is reasonable. And look at how Magnus kissed her when Sunny left them in Magnus office. He treated her like a LovePeddler. It's excusable when she was young. But look at her age now and how gifted and powerful she is. Ahbeg jare, she behaves like a f-ool. |

yehmy: watch when the sand stops dropping, what magnus told them that her sister was trained to control his gift once he's back with the power and he will instruct him to kill bajie.... Watch nd listen well I'm not disputing that. You said he won't get his gift back cause he will be too powerful and might go roque. His sister might have the ability to control his gift doesn't mean she will. Magnus said he will force her. So now that she now has common sense, she clearly won't control her junior brother. |

Smily202: That's good analysis bro. The Master told Pilgrim, he was not born with the gift that's why using the gift always weigh him down. In the Sanctuary, there are so many people with the gift which means Azra had so many generations of Darkones. Sunny killed MK's mother, which means MK lineage must have the gift (if that's how they wanna portray it). Henry inherited the gift from Sunny.
2: Locking and Unlocking the gift should be a knowledge studied in Azra. Pilgrim used the knowledge he acquired in the Sanctuary to wake all the Darkones.
3: Why would Black Lotus (Magnus) wants Sunny to kill Pilgrim for them. Why not use Azra's treatment on Pilgrim . Is there any other Power Pilgrim poses apart from the Dark Gift?
4: Even the Black Lotus knows road to Sanctuary when they are tracking Ankara. Why didn't they go there all this while since they wanna exterminate all the Darkones. ?
Let’s Just watch and Enjoy the movie for watching sake shaa .
I was enjoying the movie all this while till they started misbehaving with the scripts now. 1. You can be born with the gift without your parent having the gift. It's just that Sunny's dad had found a way to create it I think. Remember, the Master reviewed to the widow in the mirror chamber of how she killed her brother during the dark state. Only to wake up and see her parent looking at her like she's a devil, which was why she ran to the monastery. The Magnus even told Sunny that the badlands isn't the only place with dark gifts. So someone get their gifts through heredity, some get it just like that. While other steal it (Pilgrim ) 2. Yes, it's a knowledge. But what if the knowledge says "Only the locker can unlocked the lockee" Pilgrim used the scroll which the Master used for the sleepers. Do you think that scroll in anybody hands can unlock the sleepers? Clearly not, so every technique or scroll knowledge has its T&C 3. What's the Azra treatment? Magnus know Pilgrim dark gift is very powerful. Sunny's own too is quite as powerful. So he wants Sunny's sister to unlock Sunny and then controll Sunny to kill Pilgrim. 4. Yeah, that's a dumb scripting by AMC The Black Lotus Cult with Sunny's sister re-appearance is a flop. I can't even defend it. |
TV/Movies › Re: Into The Badlands Official Fan Thread by MickyMozay(m): 4:51pm On Apr 16, 2019 |
Sunny's sister lacks common sense for someone has gifted and powerful as she is. AMC did a bad job in how they introduced her into the series. She been with Black Lotus Cult all this years, helping them to kill dark gifted ones. AMC are very very stu-pid and foo-lish |
TV/Movies › Re: Into The Badlands Official Fan Thread by MickyMozay(m): 4:29pm On Apr 16, 2019 |
Smily202: At the bolded. So you finally accepted that the current episodes are total crap.
1: The master that has used her Dark Gift for years was defeated by someone that just started using the gift.
2: The master that can moves things with motion was easily defeated by Pilgrim.
They just Overhyped Pilgrim and made him Villain he shouldn't have become.
Quinn is more better Villain ever.
Another shitty facts is that :
1: How can the Black Lotus that has no known skills or gift defeat and kill all the Dark ones even the Darkones goes into hiding.
2: Why would the Masterz be afraid of the Lotus which warrant them kidnapping all the dark ones and hiding their gifts.
3: How can Ankara, the witche of first order in Azra can't Unlock Sunny's Gift with all her powers and knowledge of the Dark gift. Does it mean a young khana (sanzo's sister) is more experienced than them.
It's like Apple Icloud Password lol. So many things on my mind.
PS. Am not trying to underate the movie. I always watch movies and think outside the box. I will say your points about the latest episodes being craps are right. But maybe you're being too harsh. Lemme just answer your no. 1 & 3. 1. In Azra (the flashback), not everybody in that community/castle are dark ones. Remember, Magnus said they heard they were creating the magic which was why they invaded. And Pilgrim said him, Sunny and Sunny's sister are the first true sons of Azra. What I think it means is that they were the ones selected to be given the gift. I know Sunny's dad has the dark gift. But everybody not having the gifts, makes it easy for the Black Lotus. 3. The gift with what I learned only the person who locks it, can unlock it. And Sunny's gift can't be unlock at a glance, it's a process. This could be why Ankara couldn't help him. |

yehmy: He won't get his gift back, bcuz if he does he will be too powerful and might go rogue bcuz he's destined to be a killer. He already told her sister there will always be another way to defeat pilgrim. Plus bajie also warn that her sister should not unlock it Not that he'll be too powerful. His sister said the gift has been locked for too long, if she unlocks it immediately, the shock will kill him. So it has to be a gradually process. |

Smily202: This episode is the most shitty episodes I have ever watch. 4/10.
1:*They made the master so weak to die in such a way after so much hype from Season one.
2: How can the dead came back to life? (in as much, they did that to entertain their viewers)
3: if the dead can come back to life, that means the Ancient city of Azra can't be destroy cuz Sanzo"s father or the people that has mastered that gift would have brought themselves back to life.
4: They portrayed the master as someone that vanish, So as we can keep guessing weather she's alive or dead. ( although during the remembrance, she made us to know her time has ended)
5: My verdict ; since the show was canceled, it made them to rush everything which resulted to making so many mistakes.
6: The remaining fight in the coming episodes won't be different from the fight we have already witnessed. The only difference is that Sunny's gift maybe restored before the final episode even Baije and The widow I guess.
PS : This is my opinion. Sorry. Who died and came back to life? |

alexistaiwo: What an episode This is the most expository episode ever on this series. The master finally realised the errors of her ways before vanishing (me think she faked her death and went into exile). Sunny will never get his gift back. Pilgrim is not the real enemy, he will implode or Sunny sister will handle him, that girl gat mad moves. M.K is the real deal and it pains me that Sunny will probably be the one to end him. Why not just kill Magnus to break the chain of command and save us all the stress of dealing with black lotus. This series will go out with a blast Why did you say Sunny will never get his gift back? |

Lol well I love the show though and I've been following it religiously even right from the first season years back. What I don't like is how everybody in the world is jumping on the show's dìck. Makes me want to say that the show is overrated but alas, it really isn't. If at all it is, it's just by a little.
I even had to unfollow the GOT thread after the last season cos the comments wouldn't just stop rolling in months after, even comments I'd dropped before and forgotten kept getting likes and mentions. This is minus the pointless and neverending arguments (sometimes dumb too) that kept popping up.
All in all, it's a good time to be alive. Biggest TV show right now for me. I just pray yhe prequel does well too. With George R. R. Martin I know it will |

The writer for that last episode must have been high on cheap weed.
Why didnt she also switch off pilgrim dark powers too and continue the fight in neutral?
Well, it was obvious they were rushing everything but they should still give her the due honor she as The Master Rushing and clearly not interested in changing their idea of shutting the Series down for good. They might even play spoilers for any network that wants to take it. Silly people. |

TheKingIsHere: I should ask you if you watched the last episode of season one because it is obvious you didnt.
MK never punched sunny, rather he pushed sunny aside while in dark mode as shown in the first screenshot. Also, sunny never landed in a bar, rather he slid on the ground after that because MK never intended to kill him rather MK just pushed/shoved him out of the way as shown in the second screenshot.
Finally, it was the monks that came put MK to sleep then gave sunny some punches while in dark mode sending sunny straight through the walls thereby knocking him out as shown in the last screenshot.
So, provide a screenshot of MK giving sunny a blow/punch while in dark mode in the last episode of season one and sunny getting up like it was nothing lets see. If not, The Master is the only one till date that stopped an MK dark mode punch while in normal state. My able TheKingIsHere See as you drop detailed explanation Fire on broski |
