There were definitely rushing to end the series. See as them just they kill the casts. At least 3 casts presumed dead in one episode. AMC no get interest with the series after this one

Gbam! These last episode was just full of crap... Pilgrim beating the master like that haba, I didn't know how someone who just got the gift can overpower someone who has mastered the dark gift.

Pilgrim dark gift was different. He stole the ultimate dark gift. The ability to create dark gifted ones and also the ability to take away once's gift.

All those shouting Master this, Master that should go and watch the highlights of the next episode. She was pretending all along and waiting for the right moment to strike.

I don't even need to watch the preview to the next episode to know The Master isn't overrated as people are shouting here. Pilgrim is just like Ankara. They turn on their gifts at any slightest chance they get.

As for that person, that said The Master was fighting for her dear life. Please notice she was mediating when Pilgrim walked into her chamber. E sure for her, she didn't even need to turn on her gift. Pilgrim got frustrated of how he failed to hit the Master and quickly went beast mode. I pray that dark gift inside him explode him into pieces

Fact is Pilgrim nack sense into the overrated Master's skull.

Broke her fist in a no-holding back fight.
Pilgrim's martial art technique does not require him to be jumping up and down (seems that's how some people here judge skill).
It has a grounded structure for power strikes and defence. He utilizes his size and weight and raw strength (even more than Sunny's) in combat to his advantage.
Frankly won't be easy taking him down.

Are you now judging Pilgrim martial arts skills in the dark state? Didn't you watch the fight at all? Pilgrim couldn't land a decent strike prior to turning on his gift, which we have learned to be very much powerful. We are talking naturally martial arts skills not the enhanced one with the help of dark gifts.

I read people saying the master was trying to get pilgrim's weakness but that is a really big lie... she was actually fighting for her life, and she lost woefully. I am disappointed at the writer even though pilgrim wasn't supposed to die at the hand of the Master, pilgrim has no business beaten the master so cleanly like that even with his power!.

Remember he broke the master's wrist and turned off her gift even prevented her from healing herself.

Another gaffe I saw was how easily those newly inducted dark ones can outmatch those abbots that have been training their gifts for a longer time.

Pilgrim was overpowered. We got to find out his dark gift wasn't naturally. The Master wasn't fighting for her life in the beginning of the fight. She was however running for her life AFTER Pilgrim off her gift.

Yeah, I strongly agree the harbingers killing the abbots was poor writing from AMC. Even when MK was busy slicing them into pieces. I was saying in my head, shebi Pilgrim wan come save this People, why them con dey kill them. Only to find out the Master had a whole lot of them (dark gifts) in sleep state.

Sunny was once caught unawares by bounty hunters who wanted to either kill or turn him in. He killed all of them single-handedly while protect his son. He didn't hide behind The Widow And 2 dark ones for protection. They would ve killed Pilgrim if not for those 3.

Anyways, i never said Pilgrim vs Sunny wasn't even. Sunny vs Widow in season 1 was also even till Sunny almost killed her. I only said Pilgrim's fighting is overrated if he isn't using his powers. If it was a fight to the death(without dark powers), Sunny was winning that.

Tell me, would Pilgrim's fat áss with all that pot belly have survived a Black Lotus ambush like Sunny did? I'm sure even Ankara had to use her powers to kill the Black Lotus guys that came for her

You already agreed Sunny and Pilgrim is even. That's the purpose of this back and forth. Even if Sunny emerges as the winner, it's still an even fight, which is what I believe TheKingIsHere and me is saying.

Remember the first half of the season when Baron Chau's assassin's snaked in to kill him. It was The Widow plus Nix and Castor who stopped them.

Bro, that's different. He was caught unaware. Nobody is saying Pilgrim is all that. What we saying is that Pilgrim without him power is still an elite fighter in this series. And his fight between Sunny was evenly matched. 'evenly matched' doesn't mean one person wouldn't win in the end. It's just that they were both landing each other punches.

Just in UFC, most of their main card bouts, you'll two evenly matched fighters with different skills sets. But one person will leave the Octagon as the winner. That the person won doesn't mean it wasn't an evenly matched fight.

Another example. In betting, odds of 1.9 vs 1.9 is considered evenly matched as opposed to odds of 1.53 v 2.59.

For Sunny's sister to lock his gift to the extent that Ankara couldn't unlock it shows that she must be powerful too but can't say until I see her in action.

I think it's the person who locks it that can actually unlock it. Just like the Master and the Widow. Don't think Ankara tried to unlock it. She just tried to access or feel it.

1. The master is a better fighter than sunny and not only that, she used her gift while fighting with pilgrim but she was equally matched with pilgrim and besides, it seems as if she was only defending not attacking

2. I love the scene where they showed the widow's fighting moves( her legs)....... She is beautiful

3. It seems sunny's gift is more powerful than the rest from ankara's statement, I guess that's why his gift was locked

1. That's the ways of Monk. They barely attack and they fight with calmness studying their enemy weakness.

3. Sunny's gift was locked to prevent Black Lotus Cult from tracking him. Sadly, Ankara led them to him just like she led the Cult to Azra when Sunny was a boy.

The only thing lacking in this sweet series is sex scene. If na HBO, we for don enjoy better sex scenes. Chau brother for don knack The Widow. Bajie for don knack that e ex-wife for that ship. A lot of sex scenes for scatter up and down foe this series.

If we go by this logic, then we can as well say the Widow is better than Sunny because she beat him when they met two episodes ago.

Except the writers decided to turn the plot on its head, fact is there was no way Pilgrim was walking away from his fights with Sunny and The Master(without using his powers) as the last person standing.

The point is Sunny and Pilgrim were more matched than The Master and Pilgrim. But I get what you saying sha.

5. ...................(let me see if Sunny's sister is a very good fighter before I put the fifth person)

In no particular order, we have the same fighters.

The Sunny sister might be all about dark gift and magic with the way I'm seeing her. Ankara said she 'was' (thinking she was dead) the only one who could unlock Sunny's gift.

Does that mean she (Sunny's sister) was the one who locked it in the first place? If yes, we know they were very young back then. So for her to lock a gift at that tender age, means she will be more of a dark gift person than actually being skilled in martial arts. But let's see

Can someone please tell me why they decided to make the master weak? How was pilgrim able to beat the master who has had the dark gift since God knows when... I know they wouldn't want her to kill pilgrim but that pilgrim vs the master fight no make sense at all.

At first I also taught it doesn't make any sense. Until I watched the master interrogate Pilgrim to find out that he wasn't born with the gift and actually stole it. The gift is burning inside Pilgrim, which is why he is always hyper active and aggressive when in the dark state. The master said it will consume and destroy him eventually.

The sway she holds over the master should be more than enough to convince you of what she's capable of.

I didn't say speed and agility didn't matter, what I said was that Sunny has the speed while pilgrim had the power at the end both were even matched. Both were throwing blows and ended up even.

Now, go and watch that scene again, sunny kicks pilgrim, pilgrim punches sunny. Both guys kick themselves and fall to the ground.

They blow themselves and ends in an arm lock, then sunny, being the faster one with the skill manoveurs and throw pilgrim. Pilgrim stands up and they are in another lock before sunny pins him to he pole. Pilgrim laughs and uses his power to grab Sunny twice which made Sunny scream in pain before pilgrim throws him aside.

Sunny picks up 5 spears and attack pilgrim which pilgrim holds then entered into dark mode breaks all 5 at ones then punches Sunny.

So, with this, how are they not evenly matched?
