Sorry about the refusal. It's never a good idea to recieve payments for your personal business in your salary account. It causes confusion for the visa officers . They simply can't understand why you have a regualr 9 - 5 job and you are still doing business to make extra money. To them, it appears that your regular job is not paying you enough and you have to do other things to make ends meet. I believe that was the cause of the refusal. Seperate your business dealings from your salary account. When and if you reapply, don't bother to mention your business. Use your salary account only. I have never mentioned any of my businesses even though I make good money from them. I always use my salary account. It is safer and more straightforward.

You are my MVP on Nairaland.

I will take to this advise in the future, i appreciate this.

Sorry for the refusal.
Self employed is what you presented?? If yes .. but still you say you are earning monthly salary, quarterly allowance, mid year allowance and yearly upfront… within a 6 month period..
Also is there any signed document backed by your company for all these deposits??

or did you present both self employed and salaried employee?
I am confused because you mention CAC then mention paid employment..

Thanks bro

I presented both, my paid employment records and other income.

You need to calm down.
You came here to say things on your matter and that was how he/she was able to respond.. if you did not bring it here, nobody will come to your house to force the information out of you… shey you get?
You made it seem as though it was straightforward but no it is not.
Seems you have paid employment and then you said you are doing consulting on the side..
Still inside this consulting they credited your account, still inside this account you got other deposits- beginning of year, middle of year, quarter of year, again now you say leave allowance. I am also guessing all these are aside monthly salary credits… How many credits gan gan?
Then you say what about the CAC documents submitted… visa is not by submission of CAC documents na.. just calm down and read your refusal letter again and again.
To have helped you should have separated everything about side consulting from your application as you say you earn 800k.. what was the need for that inside same personal account? If you doing consulting job on the side and are already comfortable per your paid employment why bring that in?
Did you submit an introductory letter from your employer stating all these deposits and amounts you are entitled to? If not then you are not the first to be denied on such basis.
You can seek reconsideration.. one poster had same issue.. and sought reconsideration… however her case and yours differ in where you mention CAC/consulting/consulting paper etc.
me i also got confused, how much more the visa officer .. sorry and cheers.
Seek reconsideration.

Our major probs in this country is we judge without reasoning.

There is nothing confusing in the allowances pad by organization into a staff salary account. All the narration in the account statements showing the credit tallied with my payslip and offer letters presented.

When is it a crime to declare additional income that came in twice in the account with clear narations ?

My point is we shouldn't see the ECO as superhuman, they can make error of judgement.

The fact that a visa was refused doesn't mean they are right and you are wrong.

You were too confident that your 14m would sure get you the Visa. Infact, What I noticed these days is that those guys treating applications has got a template they follow but the statement of account carries more weight... If ur self employed, ensure you place urself on a monthly pay, if ur married with kids do 400k pls if you are single 250+ is fine and ensure no other funds enters into the account asides your monthly pay. 1.8- 2m balance can get u a visa I swear. Imagine you having like 1.5m balance since january till March and gradually increasing as you receive your monthly pay ... 2m+ balance is enough for a trip of like 600k.

The consulting job payment should not go into your personal account since your company is registered. These guys believe you can easily prepare a letter of contract at any business center to cajole them. It is very clear that you wanted to boost your account with all those payments .. quarterly, midyear, upfront bla bla bla . You shot yourself on the leg, avoid logement and also avoid business funds entering your personal account. The guys are wise now .

Thank you Mr Visa officer.

You dnt jump into conclusion if you dnt know the story, read my comment before jumping up and down Mr too know.

For your information my leave allowance alone is N1.1M credited since March 2022 without me touching it.

The income from my consulting job is by the way, and it has nothing to do with the refusal. What about the CAC documents submitted ?.was that also clown or what ?. Ogbeni learn how to keep quiet if you have nothing reasonable to say

I have a balance of N3.5 in my statements as a result of my salary, my monthly salary alone is over N800k.

I have to respond to you so you will not confuse other people with your over Sabi.

It's UK lost as am going to another country for my vacation.

Sorry for the refusal , Try and go through your bank acct statements if there’s any deposit that different to your monthly salary and the monthly expenses you claimed you are spending per month? I’m 90% sure this people will see something fishy in your bank statements before they complained

Shalom

Thanks Shalom, i appreciate.

Trust me my account statements was very straightforward.

The only transaction into the account are my monthly salary, quarterly allowance, mid year allowance and yearly upfront which was clearly stated in the statement and my payslip and offer letter.

The only transaction apart from the above is the consulting fees paid by a client. I also attached my CAC documents which registered the company since 2016. Contract letter from my clients with details of amount paid.

Am 95% sure those people are confused, they are human and prone to error.

If UK refuse me tourist visa, i have other lovely countries to go jare.

SA, Egypt, Turkey, Morocco or Mexico is nit a bad idea after all na my money are wan go spend.

You probably need to have a look at monies that was been deposited in that account, address that issue before reapplying. Since you already make adequate money you just need to make sure unnecessary deposit isn’t in that account, and if there are then just clarify where the money is from etc.

There are loads of tutorials in the thread to help when it comes to running your bank account for Visiting visa application. Good luck next time..

Many thanks Shalom.

The only payment into the salary account was the fees paid for a consulting job am doing.

I sent my CAC documents registering the company since 2016.

Transaction details with documents from the company was sent as evidence.

Above is aside my paid employment with evidence oh

Confirmation was done by them and they got a positive response.

Honestly, am pretty sure they goofed in refusing me the visa

I wnt bother re applying. Case close for UK

Wow! This is serious oh. Sorry for the refusal. I know how exactly you feel. How can they refuse someone with 14m annual salary. It's well. I really don't blame them sha. It's our leaders I blame.
I got a refusal first attempt in 2012, then an approval second attempt in 2014.
I'm applying third time next week. Ikeja TLs. Booked an hotel in Ikeja as I live in Edo state.
Has anyone who applied in Ikeja used Uber or Bolt to the venue? I never used any of those in my state and wondering if I should download the app or just flag down any random taxi outside the hotel. So many stories of insecurity in Lagos. What means of transportation does anybody recommend?.
Thanks.

Thanks bro. This is the second time they will be refusing me, first in 2011.

I suggest you use Uber or taxify, they are safe and secured.

All the best bro.

The useless UKVS for flimsy reason refused my application. Despite earning Abt N14m per annum.

Provided all documents, employment records and bank statement.

The confirm all documents submitted and got a positive response yet the baggar said he/she is not convinced that i will return as some of the deposit in my account statements are inconsistent.

Bola ahmed Tinubu(BAT), the Jagaban Borgu is 66 yrs old. He became a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria at the age of 41 in 1993. As at this time Bukola Saraki was busy running Société Générale Bank(Bukola need to explain how the bank went down).

In 1999 Tinubu became the Governor of Lagos State, while Olusola Saraki, Bukola Saraki's father became the national leader of All Progressive Party APP. Bukola Saraki was still looking for meaning to his life. His father was busy lobbying Obasanjo to give him an appointment.

While BAT was busy building a regional force in 2003, Bukola was still being spoon fed by his father who made him a governor and his sister Gbemisola a senator.

While Tinubu was making attempts to capture power at the centre in 2007, Bukola Saraki was busy dancing on the public till and betraying his father.

Tinubu and Bukola are not mates, won kin segbe... Going by the "Omoluabi" status of the Yoruba culture, Bukola Saraki should be calling Tinubu "Buoda" or "Egbon".

For the avoidance of doubt Tinubu has always been interested in the Nigerian project whether he becomes president or not.
In 2007 he pushed for the centre through Atiku and lost
In 2011 he pushed for it through Nuhu Ribadu, he also lost.
In 2015 he pushed for it again through Buhari and won.

If Tinubu were a selfish politician wouldn't he had put himself up to be president, considering his vast resources?

Saraki alluding that Tinubu has a 2023 presidential agenda is mere wishful thinking. That's simply not Tinubu's style. Wasn't that how the PDP lied in 2014 that the present VP, Osinbajo would resign and PMB will make Tinubu his VP when they win? Haven't that lie being bursted three years down the line?

Nigerians know better.

In 2014, Tinubu forged an alliance with Buhari. An alliance that was hailed by Nigerians as the final force that will wrest power from the tyranny and plunder Nigerians suffered in the hands of PDP for 16yrs.

Tinubu coming from South West and Buhari coming from the North. It was an unbeatable combination.

So strong was this alliance that the likes of Saraki saw where the wind was blowing and quickly jumped ship into the alliance because he knew that if he didn't, he'll be knocked into political oblivion.

He quickly dumped the PDP and pretended to be a progressive under APC but his scheming for power amongst the progressives caught up with him.

Saraki said, Tinubu wanted to be the Vice President in 2014. There's absolutely no problem with aspiring to be number two. However Tinubu bowed to superior argument of the danger of fielding a Muslim/Muslim ticket. He gave up the post to Osinbajo, who was a commissioner under him. Osinbajo's excellence has proven to the nation that Tinubu is indeed a leader of leaders.

When Saraki returned to the Senate in 2015. The party agreed to field senator Ahmed Lawan as senate president. Appeals were made to Saraki to step down for Lawan but he refused. He schemed his way into power by conniving with the opposition and constituted himself a problem to the ruling party.

Tinubu saw reason and stepped down. Saraki refused to see reason and schemed his way in. I leave you to judge between the two who the better man is.

In politics you don't win all, you win some, loose some and concede in some places.

Tinubu's candidate in the person of Femi Gbajabiamila was also schemed out in the leadership of the House of Reps but Tinubu didn't leave the party.

Not everybody in Rotimi Amaechi's camp got appointments but he was able to manage the situation and has remained in the party proving his loyalty.

Some of the people in his camp that worked hard to bring the present government into power were left out but Tinubu remained in the party and didn't scheme.

Saraki the conniving schemer who has has been caught on camera several times giving the president a bad eye is accusing Tinubu to be a schemer. This is laughable.

Let it be known that Saraki has never gone solo in his life. He has always been pushed by forces more powerful than him.

This is the first time he's attempting to fight without a strong backing and he's doomed to fail because he doesn't have the political muscle.

Already kwarans have left him. They are tired of his tyranny and are holding daily rallies as we speak to stop him from returning to the Senate in 2019.

While Kwarans are mourning the chains of poverty that Saraki brought them via underdevelopment.

Lagosians are jubilating about the transformation Tinubu brought to Lagos State making it the 4th largest economy in Africa via visionary leadership.

Tinubu's name is already written in gold.

Saraki's name is written in ignominy.

He has bitten more than he can chew.

He will pay.

It is my earnest prayer that PDP field Saraki against Buhari. It will be a walk over by the grace of God.

Saraki is just giving the last jerk of a dying horse.

People say Saraki is a cat with nine lives, of which I agree. Just that he is in his ninth life.

May Nigeria succeed !
