Developed countries care about ethics than qualifications. In fact, jobs as simple as entry level researcher positions usually involves background check on you. First world countries are very wary of espionage and a prof with a past criminal record is definitely a NO. Meanwhile, there are many PhDs from many parts of the world with clean record, so his PhD combined with criminal tendencies will always haunt him. His best bet is to try other African countries that value PhDs.

Am thinking of ignoring this test thing on Saturday because i can't imagine myself struggling my way through the several stages only to get dropped at last stage or any other stage. I won't forgive myself for the wasted energy, time & fare with the heavy stress undergone

Anyone who reaches the final stage would never remain the same. He/she would be able to compete better in the L-Market. Being a pessimistic or Ambivalent is surely not going to help. Remember "rejection is not personal"-Brian T

On a general note the test wasn't tough.... just practice the study packs well...
the essay too...need not be worried...its 30mins so dont expect to write one long essay...just itemize your ideas and pick like 3 points to dwell on....
the topics tested were: technology has done more harm than good / what virtues do you think are the most important for success (honesty hardwork etc)

the current affairs- brother its either you know it or not, so endeavour to study wide on this...

the current affairs though, i thought they said its "current" yet of all questions that has to do with date nothing had 2000 and something in it. it was all 19 or 18 something something....lol
