PoliticsRe: Appeal Court Gives CCT Go Ahead To Try Saraki For Corruption by midolian(m):
philips70:
Contrary to what people have been thinking, APC, nay the presidency has a hand in Saraki's trial. Some departments just want to be seen to be doing their job including EFCC.
bro, the "the more you look, the less you see" nature of Nigeria politics is why no one can tell who is behind this..But one thing is for sure, if Mr president and some other powerful ones in the APC were interested in helping Saraki, he just 'might' have had his way(thank God baba doesn't have interest in controlling the judiciary). Saraki must have been dancing to his party's tune in expectation of a big favor in return.
PoliticsRe: Appeal Court Gives CCT Go Ahead To Try Saraki For Corruption by midolian(m):
I said to myself earlier. If the court of appeal rules in favor of Saraki, I ld lose all hope in this administration.

Saraki must have been dancing to his party's tune in expectation of a real big favor in return. I am sure he wasn't expecting this.

To all those babes crying they ve been used and dumped. I hope you now know the true meaning of being Used and dumped. grin grin

PoliticsConfirmation Of Rotimi Amaechi And Other Ministerial Nominees by midolian(op):
The Senate is now in a closed session in preparation for the confirmation of the remaining 18 ministerial nominees..

TheCable gathered that the senate, which is currently considering the report of the ethics, privileges and public petitions committee on Amaechi, is divided along party lines regarding the confirmation of the former governor.

Biodun Olujimi, a PDP lawmaker from Ekiti state, had earlier raised a point of order, asking the senate to suspend the confirmation of ministerial nominees until it considered the report of the committee on ethics on Amaechi.

But Senate President Bukola Saraki ruled her out of order.

In a petition brought to the senate by senators from Rivers state, Amaechi is accused of stealing N70 billion of the state’s fund while he was governor, an allegation he has denied.

The debate on the report is expected to be stormy; hence the closed session.

Why do these professors enjoy bashing Obasanjo?

"Nobody more than Obasanjo changed the total landscape and morality of public purpose of our country"

"Not only parastatals but also government properties and houses were purchased by cabals. Pump price of petrol products were raised not less than 8times during the 8yrs of obasanjo's administration"

This is a must watch. The professor gave in details the many sins of obasanjo especially.

The Nigeria Senate will conduct the final lap of ministerial screening today, October 28 as five nominees are expected to answer series of questions raised on the floor of the House.

Naij.com recalls that a mild drama occurred yesterday, October 27,  as one of the ministerial nominees, Pastor Usani Uguru Usani responsed to a question where he was asked if he has worked with any PDP senators.

Usani’s response: “God Forbid”, was however greeted with extreme disgust among the PDP senators. But the ministerial nominee was quick to tender an apology for his remark.

31 ministerial nominees have been screened with 18 of them confirmed as ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The 18 confirmed ministers are: Udoma Udo Udoma (Akwa Ibom state), Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti state), Audu Ogbeh (Benue state), Ogbonnaya Onu (Ebonyi state), Osagie Ehanire (Edo state), Abdulrahman Dambazau (Kano state), Lai Mohammed (Kwara state), Amina J Mohammed (Gombe state), Suleiman Adamu (Jigawa state) and Ibrahim Jibril (Nasarawa state), Babatunde Fashola (Lagos state), Dr. Ibe Kachikwu (Delta state), Abubakar Malami (Kebbi state), Chris Ngige (Anambra state), Aisha Jummai Alhassan (Taraba state), Solomon Dalong (Plateau state), Kemi Adeosun (Ogun state), Hadi Sirika (Katsina state).
