Have you ever asked urself why the president goes about dancing after a bomb blast? why is it that the president is yet to say anything about the massive killing in baga and the killing in some other places in the northern Nigeria? Is it possible for a responsible govt not to be able to get a key member sponsoring a terrorist group operating within a country for 6yrs or more? Ask urself why the soldiers are always asked to withdraw from their duty posts or check points whenever the boko boys want to operate..and after which there will be no interrogation.......

THE DIFFERENCE IS CLEAR!

When PDP's 'continuity' train reached Maiduguri, the turn out wasn't impressive at all. Many thought it was as a result of the security threat experienced over there. In fact I even thought the low turn out was as a result of a fall in the population of Borno state owing to several operations carried out by the BOKO boys.
But today, it was made clearer when the man of integrity, Gen. Muhammadu "okechukwu" Buhari, as usual, was accompanied by the whirlwind of change to Borno state..

Maiduguri – A mammoth crowd of supporters on Monday in Maiduguri overwhelmed the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, making him to abandon several efforts to address them.

It took the convoy of the candidate more than an hour from the Maiduguri International Airport to arrive the Ramat Square, venue of the rally

The APC candidate, who was accompanied by his running mate, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and other party leaders, had to abort all efforts at addressing the crowd which kept shouting “Sai Buhari”.

Thousands of party supporters, mostly youths, had lined up along major roads in Maiduguri as early as 7a.m. to catch a glimpse of the APC presidential candidate.

Vehicles were forced to move at snails speed after Buhari arrived the state capital, as supporters occupied the roads in celebration.

NAN further reports that the APC presidential candidate also had to cancel the inauguration of some projects executed by the state government due to the mammoth crowd which inhibited movement.(NAN)

Youths in the Niger Delta region have accused the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Adamu Muazu, and governors elected on the platform of the party of being behind President Goodluck Jonathan’s poor rating ahead of the 2015 general election.

The youths, who spoke under the aegis of the Niger Delta Youth Parliament, said the imposition of candidates by the PDP governors and the lack of internal democracy was responsible for the mass defection from the party to the All Progressives Congress.

National Coordinator of the group, Mr. Imoh Okoko, told our correspondent in a telephone interview that the entire Niger Delta was worried that the manipulations carried out by Muazu and the second term governors had adversely affected the political fortunes of President Jonathan.

Okoko specifically said in an interview with The PUNCH on Monday that the outgoing governors were only interested in supporting their successors and not for the success of the President at the poll.

He observed that the PDP national chairman was not able to address the injustices in the party since he assumed the position and added that the situation had increased the level of acceptance of the APC presidential candidate, Muhamadu Buhari.

Fayose is taking a new dimension as the All Progressives Congress‎ (APC) has petitioned the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr Mohammed Adoke.

Also petitioned were the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Suleiman Abba and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The party is asking for investigation and speedy prosecution of those allegedly indicted in the electoral heist.

In another development, the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Hon. Taiwo Olatubosun, has petitioned the Commissioner of Police‎, Taiwo Lakanu, over an alleged threat to his life by some members of the ruling party

The petition, signed by the State Chairman of the party, Chief Olajide Awe, and dated‎ February 13, 2015, APC called the recipients’ attentions to an audio recording by Captain Sagir Koli of the 32 Artillery Brigade based in Akure.

A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Chairman of the party in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau State, Chief Samuel Doro, has allegedly been killed by some unknown gunmen.

The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Monday morning, was confirmed by the Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO) of the state command of the Nigerian Police Force, DSP Emmanuel Abuh.

Abuh said the victim was shot at a close range at his Kurra Drong residence in Jos South LGA, expressing disenchantment over the unfortunate development.

He noted that the man was immediately rushed to the hospital after the attack where he eventually died, adding that the police are working round the clock to track down the perpetrators and to bring them to book.

A source close to Doro’s family also alleged that the deceased’s wife was also in an undisclosed hospital receiving treatment.
