Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Chris Removes Information About His Wife From Church Website, by mifavour(f): 7:13pm On Aug 31, 2014
Tallesty1: To be a Pastor you must be devoted to your wife as it is stated in(Titus 1:6; 1 Tim 3:2). Because your marriage illustrates Christ’s love for His church. His bride (Eph. 5:22 ff.). You must love and respect your wife exclusively with your mind, will and emotions and not just your body. A pastor's family is his first flock.

This is a man that will say "pheww" and half of the congregation will fall flat on their belly or back. Why can't he pray God to restore the love and peace in his family?
God bless you!

CultureRe: Pls I Need Advice On How To Go For My Marriage Introduction In Igboland by mifavour(f): 12:21pm On Aug 11, 2014
siobahn: Fellow Alor peeps!!! grin When my sis was getting married, na just wine for introduction. For the list, My brother in law did not bring goat o! I think it depends on the parents. One carton of soap, 5 cartons of drinks, hollandis( or something), there was no gele and blouse, and there were no yams.
Infact i cringe when i hear people's experiences of a rather long unreasonable list given to them in other villages.
the goat stuff depemds on d kindred cos its theirs

obitobe: My bro i am happy to read something positive, since you say this is your first visit, depending on what part of igbo land you are marrying from , they will give you a list for knocking on the door( N'kwa aka N' Uzo) after that if the girl's dad is dead, they will give you list for that too called (things for Nana nwa Dead), it more like homage then after that you will get the comprehensive list that contains both that of the male and female. then until after you has fulfill everything on the list in cash or kind then you could fix a date for your traditional marriage(Igba Nkwu)

FamilyRe: Love Or Submission...which Should Come First In Marriage? by mifavour(f): 8:40am On Jun 30, 2014
3Dimension: Submission and love...

Which should come first?

Love:
And which should come last?

Still LOVE.

Embedded in Love is submission, peace, joy etc.

A woman can be submissive but will neva love the man.

Mind you if a typical naija man says the wife is not "submissive" he actually wants a puppet to control left, right and center.
God bless you!
