I wrote my Jamb just some hours ago.
There was no demand for money.
Collecting money mostly occurs in public institutions.

Btw, Anambra. She should have known they would collect money. Anambra especially. I remember travelling through the state once. Just to receive directions, you must pay somebody. And we're talking of someone who resides there.

It's never too late to bind your tummy. Get a good tummy binder and use 8hrs a day. Avoid cold drinks, if u can stick to warm/hot drinks. Breast feed like there is n tmrw n u will be amazed at number of calories u will burn per feed not even day. Make healthy food choices.
Cheers

sweetheart my DS won't take breastmilk again.. he's refusing it.. I expressed and it was a waste.. I'll look for the tummy binder... thanks dear

Family / Re: Can My Pregnant Wife Continue The Intake Of Milo Beverages? by mifavour(f): 11:16pm On Feb 01, 2016
RiloKiley:
@adewunmi,
The reason the nurses told her to stop the Milo is probably because they don't want the baby to be too big to push out. Taking excessively sugary stuff during pregnancy is likely to make you have what they call a macrosomic(big) baby. And that could cause your wife to have a c/s instead of normal delivery.
However like someone else said, everything in moderation. Tea has more caffeine than cocoa/Milo, and apart from the fact that it might actually lead to an increase in your wife's blood pressure which would not be good for her or the baby, tea is more likely going to make your wife burn off more fat thus making the baby fine out thin and fugly. You won't like the look of the baby when it comes out. Stick with the Milo but in moderation.

which one again is normal delivery? it's either vaginal delivery or c/s

My LO had the same issue last week, each time he tries to poop ehen!? I cry with him cos of the straining he does! We are on combination feeding, I did exactly what mama helovesme suggested, reduced the fomula scoops, gave him warm water to drink before feeding and it relieved him @mifavour.

Virtuouswife thanks for the tip I will add that to my to dos when next we are constipated.

@chinwendym last time he had constipation I had mine too.. it was just terrible.. I was crying be was crying too

helovesme:

The other mamas have given you excellent advice.

You have to watch the scoops of formula powder you put in his bottle. I always go a scoop less (sometimes 2 scoops less) than the recommended amount on the pack.

Give him water first when he's hungry before feeding him with formula. This will ensure he takes a good quantity of water 'on empty stomach' and it will help in ensuring he passes stools often. For example, if he's due for a meal at noon and his usual quality is 50ml, give him 20ml water first and then 30ml formula. If he takes for example 6 bottle a day, apply this method for one or two meal times a day.

Finally, make sure the water you give him to drink is warm. This also helps their digestive system and helps in preventing constipation.

this will help me a lot. thanks sweetheart

He's obviously having constipation and it's cos of the formula. After dripping d a bit hot water (d type u can bathe with wen very cold) in2 his anus 4 a long time (be patient with dt), den massage his tummy with dsame water. Massage it well o. B4 wearing his diaper, dip ur Q-tip in blueseal Vaseline and insert it in2 his anus..... ... Rotate it in his anus, repeat again and let him be........ If ur pikin no shit heavy shit eh, I go change my name wink

thanks diamond! but he's been like that since birth.. I'm just worried that he can't pass stool everyday. you should see his face when he wants to poop lol. I pray he outgrows it. I'll keep doing the hotwater thingy and the insertion one too.. you are blessed

@mifavour, are you sure you don't make his formula a bit too concentrated? Keep giving dilute fresh orange juice. When bathing him, you can use his massage towel and drip warm (a bit hot) water on his anus. It stimulates them to pooh. All the best

thank you very much dearest. I don't make it too concentrated but I'll put a check on it. I'll keep dripping water in there..

good morning great mothers... I'm a ftm.. my LO will be 2months by 29th.. he's growing so fast.. he's a bundle of joy.. we are not feeding on EBF cos I don't lactate well..personally hes gradually refusing BM(he pushes the nipple out with his tongue and tries to throw up if forced.. I've tried expressing but he won't just take it even when forced instead he'll shout not even cry). my problem now is he doesn't pass stool for like 3-4 days and when he wants to he will just be crying..and it comes out strong.. I'm worried... I give him enough water.. orange and gripe water(as recommended) but nothin has changed.. any suggestions beautiful and fabulous mothers
