cannot grant protection to the non-
Muslims then the non-Muslims are not
obliged to pay the jizya tax, since
Muslims themselves must meet
expectations for the jizya tax to be
implemented. Also, Society today has
no problem in paying taxes to the
government, so therefore they
should have no problem in paying a
tax in an Islamic state either.

embrace the religion of truth (Al-Islam),
until they pay Jizya (protection tax)

FIGHTING NEED NOT ALWAYS BE
PHYSICAL, IT CAN ALSO BE
INTELLECTUAL
------Finally, people might now say well isn’t
Islam violent because Muslims are
commanded to fight those who do not
believe in God and so on etc etc. Not
really, because fighting in this verse
does not explicitly mean physical
violence. Observe the words in the
above verses like “willingly”, “willing
submission”, “readily” etc. Here it is
spoken about bringing a change from
within the hearts of people which is
brought about intellectually . There
are many ways in which you fight
against somebody that does not involve
a physical aspect.

You can fight
someone with the tongue, using your
wisdom and telling him about the
truth, you are fighting against the lies
that person is propagating and
eventually with your tongue you will
speak the truth and crush his lies
leading him to the truth. So fighting
does not have to only be physical.


But alas! We totally over look these
things when we mindlessly base
allegations on the Quran. I never
comment on any religion until I have
read and understood ALL their
scriptures. I don’t just google out some

This verse says Muslims living during that time are not forbidden from dealing well with those who did not fight them. The message here is; those who fight you alone,are those who you should fight. Eschew fighting those who do not fight you. Simple as that!!

The op's ignorance smells to high heaven. Christians are followers of Jesus Christ. The verses you quoted from the bible were not from Jesus' time. Those are verses from the jewish religion, called Judaism. Jesus never tell his followers to kill for him. The Christians follow the example of Christ. You also mentioned the atrocities of the crusaders, etc. My friend, those things happened in the DARK AGES. If they were good, why are they not continuing? The good christians saw the evil these people were perpetuating in the name of God and spoke out against them. But instead of you Muslim speaking out against the evil of your terrorists, you are rationalising it..

Firstly,you admitted the things which I mentioned truly happened and you also agreed the bible commanded those things in the era you all call DARK AGES.
One question: are those people who were victims of the warmongering and bloody crusades of christians in that time not people like us? Why in the first place did those things happened? How many Christians killed and murdered millions for God in that time? IS THE CHRISTIANITY OF THAT TIME DIFFERENT TO THE ONE NOW?

After those things were done,no one is making a reference to them. No one say call christianity a religion of War. But when it is the case of Islam,all hell goes off.

If the crusades happened in the Dark Ages,what about the interference of the catholic church with its papal decrees in the Second Wolrd War?

I challenge any body,to get the Quran and read it all through and show me any place that justifies the actions of terrorism by the boko haram,ISIS.etc. Show me a verse that says "kill innocents" in the Quran.

If we can't find this verses in the Quran,then these terrorists must be taking their laws from somewhere else,but not Islam.


The point: its of no use blaming a religion,for things done by its followers. The muslim clerics worldwide have condemned all acts of terrorism and no good muslim will tell you boko haram,ISIS,el shabab,abu sayyaf,etc are following the command of the Quran. No good muslim will support terrorism. Only fanatical deviants spoil the image of Islam.

We have extreme fanatics in every religion. In the US and Norway,there are many cases of Christians extremist who blow up abortion hospital and slaughter homosexuals. In 2011,Alan Bradford,the son of a christian clergy, blew an hospital for aborting pregnancies. 285 people lost their lives..

You will see no one ever saying they were following the commands of the bible.

But,Why do you do so to Islam? There is no gain in double standards.
