A 50-year-old British man died earlier this year after a vibrator became stuck in his rectum. Nigel Willis, who was unemployed and lived with his elderly mother, was rushed to Lewisham Hospital on Dec. 30, 2013 after the [adult] toy got stuck inside him for five days.

In view of the current Ebola Crisis, the Catholic Archbishop of the metropolitan see of Lagos, His Grace Most Reverend Alfred Adewale Martins, sent a notice to all catholic churches in the archdiocese of Lagos to suspend the kiss of peace during mass. This is a measure to curb the spread of the deadly Ebola Virus The kiss of peace is a traditional Christian greeting dating to early Christianity. The annoouncement was made in churches on sunday the 10th of August 2014.

The practice remains a part of the worship in traditional churches, including the Roman Catholic Church, Eastern Catholic Churches, Eastern Orthodox churches, Oriental Orthodox churches and some liturgical mainline Protestant denominations, where it is often called the kiss of peace, sign of peace, or simply peace or pax. It is practiced as a part of worship in many Anabaptist heritage groups including Old German Baptist Brethren, and Apostolic Christian....

Making this revelation in an exclusive interview with Saturday Sun in Lagos on Wednesday, leader and spokesman, Witches and Wizards Association of Nigeria, (WITZAN), Dr. Okhue Iboi said the emergency meeting held by his members was not only aimed at discussing the various challenges confronting the nation but also to chart a way forward.
“Witches and Wizards in Nigeria are deeply worried by what is going on in the country especially Boko Haram insurgency. As stakeholders in the Nigerian project, we can no longer afford to fold our hands while the nation burns. Enough is enough”.
While saying that the Boko Haram issue was one of the key issues discussed at their meeting, Iboi said it was witches and wizards from Borno, Adamawa and Yobe states that urged the association to convene the emergency meeting.

Abubakar Shekau, leader of Nigeria’s Boko Haram Islamists has claimed responsibility for a June 25 bombing in the capital Abuja and an attack the same day at a fuel depot in Lagos, in a new video seen by AFP Sunday.

The authorities tried to cover up the Lagos attack, describing it as an industrial accident, but an AFP investigation revealed it was a deliberate explosion.

“I ordered (the bomber) who went and detonated it,” Abubakar Shekau says of the Lagos bomb, while claiming responsibility for the “bomb in filthy Abuja” that killed at least 22 people.

A computer science student who boasts of sleeping with up to three men every week has been named Britain's Horniest Student after entering a degrading online competition.

DailyMail reports that the University of Exeter student, Elina Desaine, 20, received £500 - (N127,000) and a year's supply of condoms after winning the competition run by controversial 'no strings attached fun' website, Shagatuni.com.


Elina who refers to herself as a 'Slutvian' and 'Sexeter', said winning the contest has made her 'even
hornier'.
She doesn't even know the names of all her sexual partners, but tries to keep track with handwritten list using descriptions such as 'French guy' and 'third year' to recall her trysts.

She says one of her proudest moments is having sex in a university computer room, and admitted her ultimate goal is to seduce a lecturer.

Elina, pictured above with other naked students, hopes her actions will not affect future employers' decisions and that they will 'see it as a bit of fun'.

On why she deserved to win the title, Elina had written:

In a chat with with Vanguard, BankyW shared his story - how he moved from being an undergraduate begging for audience at salons in the United States, to building a musical empire that has produced internationally acclaimed artistes like Skales and Wizkid.
Excerpts:

“Everybody knows me to be the Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of EME, but what people do not know is that EME started when I was in my third year in university in New York.
You see, we all dream dreams, but it is important to think very big and start where you are because God never gives you everything but gives you enough to start.
At that time, I knew I wanted to do music, but of course I understood nobody starts by selling a million CDs or the big screen!
I worked in fast foods outlets, clothing stores and as a knife salesman, selling knives from door to door. That way, I gathered money to pay for studio recording time. I was recording with a close friend at that time.
After making that music, we printed a thousand CDs though we didn’t have any fan. I had one battered car that broke down virtually everywhere, so, we would print black and white posters, stick them on the sides of the car, sell from the car’s trunk and drive to salons to do marketing.
We would walk to the owners of the salons, greet politely, and ask them to let us entertain their customers. Sometimes, some would kick us out and sometimes some would say yes. If told yes, after singing for a minute or two, we would sell our CDs to the customers! That was the beginning!
A lot of people see you on stage and see the success but do not know what you had to go through! I never had one really big break; it was always two steps forward and a couple backwards.
But I just decided that I was going to make music work for me. That was why I moved on to a new salon each time any salon rejected me!
I just kept going because I believe failure is when you give up. Albert Einstein said he tried a hundred times to make the light bulb. When he was asked what kept him going during the 99 times, he said: ‘I didn’t consider those 99 times as failure; rather, I considered them 99 ways that it didn’t work!’
We went about selling CDs and, on the days we couldn’t sell much, we would sit down and be broke together. I remember my friend was a member of a church that usually served food after service. So, on the days we didn’t sell CDs and were too broke to buy food, we would attend service in that church so we could pack rice and store in the fridge.
At a point, being a student of industrial engineering, I was working for an engineering company and was recording as well. I would go to work from 7am till about 2pm and then go to school till about 8pm, and then drive two and a half hours to New York City where the studio that would let us record for less was, and record until about 2am.
I would then drive two and a half hours back home to be back at work at 7am the following day.
One day, I was driving home from work and was so tired that I fell asleep while on a bridge. I would have driven off from the top of the bridge to God knows where, if not for an on-going construction work. God really saved me!”
After a while, Banky’s hard work began to pay off and, even while in school, he began winning awards, beginning with the ‘Albany Idol’ competition. Other international awards soon followed.
In 2008 when he decided to move to Nigeria after the completion of one of his albums, Mr Capable, Banky was consistently told his genre of music ‘would never appeal to Nigerians and therefore wouldn’t ‘sell’.
As he got turned down, pressure mounted on him and his manager to change their genre of music but Banky strongly held on to another long-standing principle which had taught him to stand out by being unique rather than trying to imitate anyone’s skill.
He therefore insisted on sticking to R&B, and this paid-off as he soon became a household name in the Nigerian entertainment industry!
Banky's advice:
“You cannot say enough about the grace of God and I therefore do not want to claim any form of glory. Falling down is inevitable but getting back up is optional!
Frankly, you can’t appreciate sunshine if you’ve never been through a heavy rain. Yes, life is tough, but what do you do in those tough moments?
Do you learn the lesson, stand up again, consider yourself stronger and keep going? Or do you sit down and feel sorry for yourself?
The graveyard, they say, is the richest place in the world because therein lies so many who died with their dreams. So, my advice is, do not give up! If Banky can be where he is today, you can be where you want to be if you put to mind to it.”

Nigerian Top producer and video director, -Samklef, was also at the National Youth Conference/Career Fair organised by Ic-cube yesterday to share his experience starting from the bottom to the top.
The "molowo noni" mastermind said things were really tough for him from start-up, that he wanted to be an artiste initially, but couldnt pay for production, so he had to learn production himself he noted. He went further to say he never sat for jamb and till now doesn't know what Jamb is like..
His advise to the youth in audience was that they should start small and follow their passion till the last.
With him also was "chop my money" remix" and "Ile-ijo" producer -Fliptyce. He also shared his own experience as well similar to that of Samklef.

Pope Francis has suspended indefinitely a German Roman Catholic prelate Franz-Peter Tebartz-van Elst known as the "luxury bishop" from his diocese for spending $43m (N6.8billion) of Church funds on his residence.

Tebartz-van Elst was dubbed "the luxury bishop" after an audit of his spending revealed that his residence cost at least six times more than planned.
German media, citing official documents, said the residence had been fitted with:

a free-standing bath that cost 15,000 euros (N3m),
a conference table that cost 25,000 euros (N5m),
and a private chapel for 2.9 million euros (N594m).

In a highly unusual move, Bishop Franz-Peter Tebartz-van Elst of Limburg was ordered to leave his diocese while an investigation and audit into cost over-runs is held.
He has apologised for any "carelessness or misjudgment on my part", but denies wrongdoing.

The issue has proven a major embarrassment for Pope Francis, who has called for a more austere Church that sides with the poor.
He has told bishops not to live like princes, and has also promised to clean up the murky finances of the Vatican bank.

Kanye certainly has the balls to speak his mind, but this weekend he actually showed off a lot more than he bargained for during his concert in Seattle when his pants totally split at the seams, putting his crotch on full display.

In this very recent interview with Nigerian Tribune, Davido got to talk about his music, how he rose to the top, his tattoos, the young girls he's been caught on cameras with and his dad's wealth of course.

Excerpts:
NT: You’ve achieved fame within such a short period of time. How were you able to do that?
D:God has had my back, always. It’s all God’s doing. From my single back then, He had said it was my time; and so I kept doing my thing, working hard, spending more time working on the music and sampling all kinds of sounds. That’s how it came about
NT:Before you became a big shot, what were those days of humble beginnings in the industry like?
D:They weren’t easy – having to prove that you could do this, or that you could be big and sell records, and then not having people believe you or want to take a chance.
I had some rough periods of even hungry days in the studio. Sometimes you got broke, but still just found one way or the other to pull through. I had plenty rough times.

NT: What were your childhood days like?
D: I had a regular childhood. A whole lot of play and school, sometimes the play would just centre around music.

NT: How did your dad feel about your decision to become a recording artiste?
D: He didn’t like it at first; but eventually a man understands a man’s need to do his thing and make a name for himself.

NT: Did you drop out of school because you wanted to pursue your musical career?
D: Who says I dropped out? I’m in my third year in school.

NT: How do you combine your music with your studies successfully? Has building a profession in music affected your studies in anyway?
D: It’s not been easy, but it’s working one way or the other. Being madly busy is not easy to cope with when you are studying; but it has no choice but to work out.

NT: Why did you decide to go into music?
D: I was always going to do music as soon as I discovered my flair for it and I was working on sounds too in a studio and some of my friends used to say that I should just try doing my own thing. So, I took it up when I realised that I could actually make some decent sounds. I’ve always nurtured dreams of performing live, so it just had to be done.

NT: Which musicians inspire you?
D: TuFace, PSquare and the Koko Master (Dbanj). Those guys are really something. The big things they’ve done in this industry are unforgettable. So, that’s my drive as well – to (make) a serious impact.

NT: You travel a lot. Does your girlfriend not complain?
D: (Laughs) If you know say I get, and you sabi am, go ask am.

NT: You mean you are not dating anyone now?
D: No.

NT: You must have a lot of ladies trying to get your attention. How has the reception from your female fans been like?
D: It’s crazy, coupled with the fact that I am young, and with girls in my age group too. Here in Africa and in Europe, the female fan base is wild. I really appreciate it. When guys are feeling you while you perform and also the girls are gingered and sometimes crazier about you, it’s cool.

NT: We have had pictures of you in bed with various kinds of ladies. How has that affected your career?
D: If it has had any big effect on my career, I’m not sure I know about it, because I am still doing my thing and God still has my back. God did not allow some random act of one person who felt like fooling around to now spoil my career or ruin my image.
Shebi they wanted to snap me (take my photograph)? They ‘snapped me’ and went their way…and my life goes on. That’s it.

NT: What deals, endorsements, shows or recognition have you got that were quite memorable for you?
D: MTN of course. My first advert for MTN Pulse was a big deal for me. It was a great thing to be part of. Also, my shows all over Nigeria and performing in different states make me unable to decide which one is my favourite, seriously. You perform in a state and get mad love from the crowd; and then the next state is even crazier. And that’s how it just keeps going. So, my high points are those moments when my fans show dedication, and show me love like ‘Ah, you be our guy; you be our man, you know?

NT: Which musicians do you dream of working with internationally?
D: It won’t be bad working with Pitbul, David Guetta, Sean Paul, and Nicki Minaj.

NT: Your dad is wealthy and influential. Would you say his wealth has been a propelling factor in your career?
D: My father is wealthy, yes, and I am thankful to God for that. One way or the other, in my music career, there’s always a point where the gratitude goes to my father and always a point where my father’s wealth has been a useful factor.
As for opening doors, well, maybe. But money is not everything and every part of it, behind the scenes of success is a lot of blood, sweat and tears.

NT: If you were not a musician, what other career path would you have chosen?
D: Maybe a producer; but if you mean totally out of music, maybe one big businessman.

NT: Reports say you were caught abroad spending fake money. How did that happen?
D: Go and ask the so called reporters whether na dem put fake currency for my hand. How does that even make sense? We were in Europe and spending good hard-earned money, even when the person we had a deal with was defaulting, and didn’t want to pay us.
So it was just some rubbish they cooked up to spoil our names, and get away with breaking our contract. But of course, we don pass that one, so na dem sabi.

NT: What’s the most expensive thing you have ever pampered yourself with?
D: My house! But if that doesn’t count as pampering, then maybe one of my Rolexes that the price tag can give somebody ‘Apollo’.

NT: You have so many tattoos. Are you just following the trend or you’re doing your own thing?
D: I feel the need to ink my skin, so I do it. Simple. It’s my desire and that’s all.

NT:What’s the craziest thing you have ever done on stage?
DLaughs) Nothing too wild; I just kissed a girl from the stage.

NT:Some of your fans complain that you don’t have strong lyrics but only project the elitist life?
D: It’s what we need to drive the sounds; those kinds of lyrics are what the industry, as it is, is moved by. I can decide now to bring out the deepest of my emotions through lyrics. And you know, they will say Davido is boring.

NT:In your dull moments, what do you do to get back in line?
D: I just make a mad beat, or take a trip to somewhere of interest.

NT: How do you relax?
D: I go to the most exotic resorts and lounges in any country I’m currently in. Then sometimes I like to just (relax) with my headphones and just jam for hours, undisturbed.

Edo State governor Adams Oshiomhole yesterday October 18th signed into the Edo State law, a bill that prescribes the death penalty for kidnappers. The death penalty is not just for kidnappers who kill their victims, its for all acts of kidnapping whether it involves murder or not. The new bill also states that houses used by kidnappers will be demolished.

Please these things they are doing will soon bring the bill of sharia law to the table, they should calm down abeg!...Louis has spoken!

The 76 destitute people, who were deported by the Lagos State Government and dumped on the Upper Iweka Bridge, Onitsha, Anambra State on July 24, 2013, have dragged the Lagos State Government to a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos.

7 of the deportees - Joseph Aniebonam, Osondu Mbuto, Osondu Agwu, Nnenna Ogbonna, Emily Okoroariri, Friday Ndukwe and Onyeka Ugwu filed the N1billion suit as the applicants, on behalf of the 76 others, while the Attorney-General of Lagos State and the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State are the respondents.

The victims want the court to declare that their deportation from Lagos State of Nigeria to Anambra State of Nigeria on July 24, amounted to a gross violation of their rights and a breach of the provisions of the 1999 Constitution, as amended.


To declare that they, as Nigerian citizens are entitled to the enjoyment of their fundamental rights, that their arrest and detention in various camps, Oshodi rehabilitation centre, police cells and prisons, within Lagos State for no offence known to law and without trial and conviction by a court of competent jurisdiction, amounted to a serious breach of their rights as provided for in the relevant sections of the constitution, adding that such an action was illegal, null, void and unlawful.
They noted that the court should mandate the first respondent to re-absorb and accommodate the applicants within Lagos State of Nigeria since they are Nigerian citizens and are entitled to reside in any part of Nigeria, including Lagos State and stop them from further deportation.
The victims also want the respondents to tender a written apology to them by publishing the apology in the following newspapers: THISDAY, Vanguard and Daily Sun continuously for 30 days, from the date of the first publication, for unlawful and gross violation of their constitutional rights.
The applicants noted that the issue for determination is whether the action of the respondents in arresting, detaining and their subsequent deportation from Lagos to Onitsha, Anambra State is justified in law, in view of the supreme provisions of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria, adding that if the issue is resolved in the negative and against the respondents, the applicants are entitled to the reliefs sought.
The hearing, which will be presided over by Justice Anumogobia, is set to begin on January 29, 2014.

The reality star's engagement ring from ex-husband Kris Humphries sold at a Christie's auction in NYC on Tuesday, Oct. 15 for a whopping $620,000 Bidding opened on the bauble at $200,000, with an as-yet-unknown online buyer scooping up the Lorraine Schwartz creation, which features a 16.21-carat center diamond and two 1.8-carat side diamonds. With Christie's markup, the anonymous buyer will pay a total of $749,000 for the ring. Despite that six-figure sum, it's a significant drop from the ring's initial reported worth of $2 million.

Hip hop singer Terry G was on Sunday October 6, 2013 attacked by armed robbers on his way to an event. Sources disclosed that they did not harm the singer, but made away with all his possessions such as, phones, money, jewelry and other things. The incident took place at club around Ogba.
His crew explained: “We tried to keep it secret, but we have to say it out now! He was attacked on Sunday by heavily armed robbers on his way to an event, we thank God they just collected his valuables, like phones, money, jewelry and other items.
“Though they later recognized him and released some gun shot for him, but they did not return the valuables...!! WE THANK GOD FOR LIFE, PROTECTION & GUIDIANCE!!!,” they stated.

The girl pictured below was one among the three frozen children who were found from the 22,000-foot summit of a volcano in Chilean border called Mount Llullaillaco, in the year 1999.

This 15 year old frozen girl named La Doncella, “the maiden,” was being prepared by Researchers at the Museum of High Altitude Archaeology to display it to the world. One of the museum’s designer and director Gabriel E. Miremont said, "These are dead people, Indian people".


Children were sacrificed like this as a part of a religious ritual called capacocha, where beautiful and healthy children including girls were chosen to be frozen to death.

They were made to walk hundreds of miles amidst ceremonies and then taken to the summit of Llullaillaco, where they were fed with chicha (maize beer), and once they felt asleep, they were placed in underground niches where they will freeze to death. The cold, dry and thin air underground preserved these bodies for hundreds of years making them look real. The Inca people practiced child sacrifice and considered it as an honor to be chosen for sacrifice, because according to them, these children did not die, but will have joined their ancestors who shall later watch over their villages from the mountain tops like angels.

Three would-be stowaway teenage boys, arrested on September 24 and 25, were, yesterday, handed over to their parents by the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, Police Command.
Joshua Amadi, 14, from Ebonyi State; Onyedikachi Ukpabio 14, Abia, and Lateef Popoola 13, Ogun.
One of the teenagers, Onyedicachi Ukpabio, an SS1 student, said they had not decided where to travel to before they were arrested.

They were just at the departure hall when they saw a man, who approached them and asked them if they had a BlackBerry charger to enable him charge his phone, they told the man that they didn’t have one, before his friend, Amadi, asked the man if he knew the plane going to Malaysia.
He said the question made the man to alert the airport police and got them arrested. Popoola, a primary three pupil from Ogun State, was caught on Wednesday, a day after Ukpabio and Amadi were arrested. If you can recall, a few weeks ago a group of supporters of Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola, offered 14 year old Daniel Oikhena, the boy who flew an Arik plane from Benin to Lagos hidden in the plane's undercarriage, a scholarship.

There were claims that the actress recently featured in one of the latest Nollywood adult movies.

In a recent interview, when asked about the rumour, the actress said; “I can’t, no matter what is involved. So many people don’t see anything wrong in it but I see lots of wrongs in it. My personal principle and religious background wouldn’t allow me go nude on the screen. I come from a very strong Christian home; it is not the kind of things expected of me. Miss Philippines was crowned Miss World 2013 on Saturday at a tightly guarded ceremony in Bali, Indonesia, after the contest was plagued by protests from Muslim hardliners and fears that extremist groups could try to disrupt the event.
U.S.-born Megan Young, a 23-year-old studying digital film, accepted the crown from last year's winner, Wenxia Yu of China, and promised to "be the best Miss World ever". Congrats to her!
