Skill wise Veratti is like the best option we can get for that role. It’s just his age and the fact that he plays for PSG. And going by his injury records in the last two years, he doesn’t look like a good buy, especially for a team that is still finding its way.

Fabian ruiz is still a very good option for that position. Or bennacar from AC Milan.

They don't play the same position. We need de Jong or someone similar who can make our play from the back more successful and control games

We've have agreed fee with Ajax for Martinez. He's really a good player. Great in defence and can play DM very well. I'm really excited about him cos of his mentality he's a bully and quite intelligent

Still Elanga is not good enough if we want to go far. Better sell with an option to buy

Fred is not better than rodri left leg. Fred is good but Rodri is world class IMO. He's easily the best DM in the league currently and top 5 in the world

Charlie savage played DM for us today. I think with right coaching he will really own the position down. We really have nice talented midfielders in the youth set up Zidane iqgbal is good as well but not better than Hannibal and garner IMO

No lele. I actually forgot Oyedele. He and McAllister are the only pure CDM of any quality in the youth set up. Most of the rest are 8s masquerading as 6s.

I think he is best as an 8. The same position which is the best for Levitt, Mejbri, Iqbal, Savage. He and Gore often share the CDM role and i think the team plays best when Gore breaks up the opposition play and Mainoo runs through the midfield. Before Under-18 Mainoo was a forward and Gore was an AM.

In terms of CDM Garner and Galbraith are the most senior of the Academy products though we leaked goals galore when Galbraith played 6 and not 8.
Then we have a 15 yr old tenacious pest called Finley McAllister. So unless Garner makes a huge jump this season our CDM solution has to be in the transfer market.

The only problem with Fernandez is lack of pace. This will cause problems for him against EPL wingers. Other than that he is very, very good.
And yes he can play in midfield. Reminds me of Daley Blind.

I really like him. Technically he is good at controlling tempo and playmaking. Good passing range. He is physically a bit frail though he has improved on that recently. In addition to that he is playing in a position where almost all our good Academy players are located. Which one of them will make it will depend a lot on luck, timing, good loans, good health e.t.c

Garner, Levitt, Ethan Galbraith are in the sets ahead of him (Although my suspicion is that the door is about to close on Levitt and Galbraith’s career).

Then you have Mejbri, Shoretire in his set who are more highly rated. Charlie Savage is also there with his wand of a left foot though his complete lack of pace would most likely limit his potential.

Then you have Mainoo, Gore, Hansen-Aaroen in the set after him who are also quite well regarded.

A youth player usually has only 1 or 2 years max to impress before someone from the next youth generation comes knocking for that spot.

When we talk about luck and timing there is no doubt in my mind that had ETH been our manager 2 years ago Levitt for example would have made it here as at worst a squad player. However with more obviously gifted players on the queue behind him now knocking on ETH’s door his time sadly might be up.

Also Alvaro Fernandez is very good and versatile he's very good and can play midfield as well he's very physical I believe he'll make it here
