Christianity EtcRe: What Is The Difference Between A Pastor And A Prophet? by miket2(m): 12:16pm On Dec 24, 2017
I remember my senior cousin took me to see a prophet about 7 years ago when I went to visit her .... to cut a long story short he told me the usual nonsense about "enemies not wanting me to succeed " etc...... afterward he gave me his bank details so i can make a donation towards some musical instruments for the church....

In the car on the way home my cousin asked when I was going to transfer the funds, i replied to her that if he were really a prophet he would have realised that I have no intention of giving him a penny ....

prophet = scammer
PoliticsRe: Fani-kayode Blasts New York Times Over Trump's "Comment" About Nigerians by miket2(m): 12:08pm On Dec 24, 2017
Obi1kenobi:
Only morons would believe a man once indicted in a lawsuit for refusing to rent his house to black people and who shows contempt daily for every minority group in the US is not capable of saying that "crap."
The problem with many Nigerians my brother is that they are slaves...

They have zero sense of pride or even shame .... why would I defend or support someone that doesnt like me?

Then you have an idiot saying Trump and Obama are the same , Trump a man that has been involved in over 3000 lawsuits , a man who was convicted for refusing to rent out apartments to black people yet these idiots will scream fake news .......

what do you think make Agbaje more impressive? To me,he has no record Nigerians you could count on unlike Ambode who have been in the govt for 27yrs.
I was not at the meeting but his apparently his presentation was much more cohesive and he came across as more intelligent ....... once again I am only going by what I was told .... and obviously this does not necessarily mean he would have made a better governor

Don't overlook the role Gej played in Lagos. How he used silly Yoruba leaders and turned OPC against APC.

well policies guiding LASTMA and KAI should be reviewed.
The traditional rulers did not support PDP...... OPC are seen as a joke in Lagos, Gej bought their support with contracts

My father met both Ambode and Agbaje before the election and the general consensus was that Agbaje was a far more impressive candidate , however he was not supported amongst most of the traditional rulers

You are absolutely right. The Ojoras, Onikoyis, Onirus, Aromire, Oluwas and even the Otos are just watching by the sides which is very bad.
My brother God bless you, you are absolutely right.... I am a member of the Ojora ruling family and just this week myself and my brother took my father and my uncle to task for failing to use their influence sufficiently on Fashola and his administration....

The traditional rulers in Lagos have failed to provide adequate checks and balances on the political class.... it is extremely disappointing
PoliticsRe: Why Did Buhari Sentence Fela Kuti To 10 Years In Prison? by miket2(m): 9:16pm On Nov 10, 2014
Caveatemptor:
Actually in the 1970s Fela Anikulapo Kuti was a thorn in the flesh of all Military governments. Apart from his music which he used as a weapon against all these governments. He hadappaid column in the Punch. newspapers where he attacked. dictatorship of the. military. He also ppublishedd a. mini paper callled MOP(Movement of the people) which. was. distributed free of charge to all. secondary schools and universities. It was these twin vehicles Fela used. to. attack corruuption and military dictatorship.

In 1977 Col Muhamadu Buhari was the commissioner for. Petroleum and there was a rumour propagate. by Dr Tai Solarin that 2.8 billion. Naiira was missing froom the. FG coffers.
Fela and aa lot. of critics picked up these. rumours to. attack the Obasanjo military government of the. time, throughhis music and paper's. .
It was obvious. thaat. aall the militaryofficers of that period including Obasanjo,Yar'Adua,Danjuma,Idiagbon,Babangida and otthers were waitingfor a chance to take their pound of flesh. from Fela.
So. what started with the burning of Felas house by un known soldiers continued with the. arrest and sentencing to prision for foreign exchange fraud under the Buhari/Idiagbon regime.
Thank you...... i rarely post on this site because of the lack of honesty of many of the members, it was politically motivated and Buhari was wrong, no one is saying you should not support him....... name me one politician who has never been wrong at least once..

its like debating with dogs
PoliticsRe: Why Did Buhari Sentence Fela Kuti To 10 Years In Prison? by miket2(m): 8:41pm On Nov 10, 2014
The blind stupidity and loyalty of some Nigerians never ceases to amaze me.... I do not blame the politicians, after all the saying that "a people get the government they deserve" is very true....

At this point I dont even blame the politicians for the state of the nation....it is the idiot Nigerians who never take them to task who I blame

for the record i support no party in Nigeria they are as bad as each other, but just because you are a supporter of Buhari doesnt mean you cannot admit that it was a politically motivated arrest and he was wrong...

some of us were around at that time so we know what happened, fela was travelling to a concert with 36 band members, as the band leader all the money was with him £1600... only a complete slowpoke would assume that the £1600 were for him alone and that the other 36 would be travelling without one penny between all of them.....

No other money was found on any of the people travelling with him so his assertion that the money was the travelling expenses for the entire group is entirely plausible....

He simply kept all the money in one place rather than divide it up amongst everybody, yet people are insisting that for this a 10 year sentence was justifiable.......

bloody illiterates ...... thats why the country is in the state its in
PoliticsRe: We Will Defend Jonathan With Our Blood - Asari-dokubo by miket2(m): 1:36am On Jan 16, 2012
This topic and some of the replies shows why Nigeria is in this present situation, there is a saying "you get the leadership you deserve" the fact that people are defending incompetence and corruption just because an individual is from their tribe is disgusting,

Many of you are too politically  immature and stupid to realize that YOU yourselves are part of the problem,
I am a yoruba man, a proper Lagosian not a transplant and I will tell anyone that Tinubu is a disgrace and a thief, only an illiterate will defend an incompetent leader because said leader is from their tribe,

Go to the North of the country, it is underdeveloped compared to anywhere else,  for all of their machinations in getting Shagari, Buhari, IBB, Abacha , Yardua in office these leaders  done nothing for "their" kinsmen,  why have they not asked the question "for all of the Northern leaders why are we still lagging behind the rest of the country"

These politicians play on tribal loyalties while doing NOTHING for their people, do you really think GEJ cares about these idiots in the Niger Delta,

I supported GEJ during the elections because at the time I thought he was the best candidate, anyone who can tell me that the man has not been a huge disappointment is just deluding themselves, he is sleepwalking this country into the abyss, OBJ was more competent even sick Yardua on his death bed was a more effective president than this buffoon who these uneducated illiterates are supporting all in the name of tribalism
BusinessRe: Which Area Of Small Scale Business Is Most Challenging? by miket2(m): 8:45pm On Oct 28, 2011
Its obvious by some of your replies that many of you havent a clue, there is a big difference between what you study in a text book and the real world my friends
Christianity EtcRe: Nigeria's Millionaire Preachers [Documentary] - To Be Shown Tonight by miket2(m): 8:17pm On Oct 28, 2011
@Frosbel i dont attend christ embassy but in what way are they the worst, am not defending anybody but if i go by your post i would take it that your state of mind is the same with the white people where you live, there is nothing far worst then a fake pastor then a one sided thinker/person. I can bet my life on it that you have no clue about Christ embassy apart from what you have seen from afar or heard from people, there are bad eggs everywhere does not mean the one basket is bad, So like other if you dont have facts pls just shut up

The biggest problem is that the so called "good churches" refuse to condemn these conmen and so called miracle workers, so therefore in the eyes of many of us they are one and the same
Christianity EtcRe: Nigeria's Millionaire Preachers [Documentary] - To Be Shown Tonight by miket2(m): 8:09pm On Oct 28, 2011
lol, the same woman having demons cast out of her was his receptionist,

I dont feel sorry for any idiot that gives money to these churches, its not as if these so called men of God are hiding what they are up to,
If as a so called Christian your main purpose for going to Church is to ask God for riches you deserve to be conned out of your money

What would Jesus do?
PoliticsRe: Why Is Nigeria's Business Climate So Hostile? by miket2(m): 4:27pm On Nov 08, 2010
Im sorry but the fault lies squarely at Nigerians, I am a Nigerian born in the UK and I decide to relocate to Lagos, everyone told me i was crazy to do so including my friends and family in Lagos, I have been conducting business in Lagos for the past two years and even though I am doing very well Im starting to wonder whether it is worth the aggravation, I have now resorted to flying to Lagos from the UK every month because I have come to the conclusion that the majority of people conducting business in Lagos whether successful or otherwise do not have a clue , if these so called "businessmen" had to conduct business in the Europe or the US their level of incompetence would manifest itself immediately
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Mikel Dusts Essien, Song, Gerrard And Scholes: by miket2(m): 10:41pm On Oct 28, 2010
mikel suffers from frank lampard syndrome, the fact that he is surrounded by so many great players in chelsea has hidden his obvious limitations which are apparent when he plays at international level,

he is a great passer of the ball
but he cant shoot, tackle ,dribble, defend and lacks speed, so i guess he has to be good at something
TravelRe: Nigerians In The Diaspora Would You Move Back Home ? by miket2(m): 9:35pm On Oct 27, 2010
hi i was born and raised in london apart from 5 years i attended high school in Lagos, im in the process of relocating back home, i have invested my savings of about £90,000 in a business venture which seems to be doing well
for the past two years ive been very much back and forth between london and lagos but my plan is to make lagos my base within two years, i still want to keep a place in london so obviously working things out would be slightly complicated
a lot of things drive me nuts about Nigeria and conducting business over there is awful but its my country , im proud to be Nigerian and hopefully God willing I can be one of those hoping to make it a better place.

This is the kind of people i like, not people who live on credit cards and cant even save £500 that come here to talk about how they will never relocate, i bet they dont know how much a ticket costs. How can someone in debt relocate?

Te hehehehe

i think what a lot of people fail to realise is that the US and the UK were not built overnight , the industrial revolution took place centuries ago, people built up those countries, if Nigerians do not build up the country who will?, we are trying to achieve in 50 years what took those countries centuries
im not knocking people that want to live and die outside Nigeria, thats your choice and i wish you luck, what baffles me are those that will criticize those that want to go back
