Has anyone noticed that Glo 4g network degrades at night on the Ajah Axis. It's been a recurring issue for the last 2 weeks. Service disappears at night and returns at first light of day (around 6am). It's very frustrating. Weekends are a nightmare too.

The sales Rep is wrong. When you have the weekend plan, it automatically switches over on the weekend and reverts to the normal plan on weekdays.
tivta:

Bro, did you personally pause the weekend plan? If so how did you do it? I currently use two glo Sims. One for daily browsing and another for weekend browsing. The sales rep said I can't use two different plans on the same line.

It's the fastest , no contest. Where's your location and how are you coping with the charges?

I don't agree. That's the same speed I get from glo 4g at my location and it averages around 30 to 60mbps around the island.

Thanks. It's super fast but the downside is the rate of consumption. Very high.

So, I just got the Camon CX this morning and it works perfectly with glo 4G. The speeds are incredible!

Does anyone know what the Glo 4g experience is like around the Ajah axis?
Phones / Re: Subscriber Options for UNLIMITED Internet - WORTH IT? by miki2014: 1:24pm On Sep 01, 2017
Been using ntel around Ajah for the last 6 months.
I have never had a week of uninterrupted Service.
At some point, I knew many of their call center agents by name.
Sad but it's the reality.
So, while the speed is relatively good, ntel is by my assessment the most unreliable data network around here.
If u choose to use ntel, just know you won't get value for your money and please always have a backup.

They're definitely having issues. Very slow since Saturday night and Service keeps going off and on this morning. Location; Ajah.

Is Ntel having issues this morning? Nothing works
Phones / Re: Subscriber Options for UNLIMITED Internet - WORTH IT? by miki2014: 12:14pm On Jul 17, 2017
Typical ntel. Their customer service agents are virtually clueless. I always insist on speaking with a supervisor when I call.
hodonuu:

I actually believe Ntel is blocking that device and perhaps you are just a customer service agent and not privy to such tecnical information or above your pay grade
And I won't be buying any other mifi from you guys since obviously, the problem is from ntel and not my device or the others who have complained repeatedly about the block.
And when my subscription expires, I will not be re-subscribing obviously because my current subscription is an entire waste

So, since it rained last night, we've not had ntel service on the island. Shame!

Ntelassist kindly confirm if the unlimited smartphone night plans are subject to FUP.
Phones / Re: Subscriber Options for UNLIMITED Internet - WORTH IT? by miki2014: 8:29am On Apr 25, 2017
I have barely used up to 200mb of data today, yet for some reason, my speed has been capped at 60kbps all morning. Customer service says they're looking into it.
Is there ever going to be a day without issues from ntel?

Nope. The smartphone night plans are also subject to the FUP of 3gb. Spoke with Customer service.

Issue has been resolved.

Service is generally unreliable here on the island. Fast sometimes, then unexpectedly, you get a massive drop in speed. Service outage occurs too often. It's been a daily thing since the rains started this week.

Coverage is also irregular. Some parts of Admiralty way and Freedom way in Lekki 1 have zero coverage.
Fastest download speed I've recorded so far is around 12Mbps (At Ajah) and all through this morning, it's been bouncing around a measly 0.3 - 0.4Mbps.

It's my 2nd week on the network and every day, I either have to call customer service or send a message to them on twitter.
If anyone from Ntel is monitoring this thread, you all need to step up!

If you don't have the infrastructure to support an unlimited service, then take it off the table. We'll prefer to pay well for a reliable service.
For now, I'm getting set to return to Smile.

Just promote the crop of the Flying Eagles team (The team that was at the u17 world cup in 2013) to the Super Eagles already!!! This current team looks like a disaster waiting to happen! Still waiting to see how this experiment with Oliseh will pan out. Doesn't look good right now.

Hi guys. My Tecno L7 recognizes my sim cards but keeps saying "No Service". What can I do to fix this? Please help.
Phones / Re: Phone Engineers On Nairaland Willing To Assist You - Part II by miki2014: 1:31pm On Aug 01, 2015
I just checked via ES Explorer and everything seems fine. Is there any way I can disable the dialer and use another app for receiving calls?
Tolzeal:

Use root explorer or Es file explorer to Locatebur system apps first

Check for dialer or phone.
Hit on for options, then check fr permission , After Compare the permission state with the other sys apps
Phones / Re: Phone Engineers On Nairaland Willing To Assist You - Part II by miki2014: 10:46am On Aug 01, 2015
Thanks for this. But, I have gone to check out my app permissions and the dialer is not even included on the list of apps needing permissions so I doubt that this is the issue.
Tolzeal:

I hope no onenhas tampered with the System app permission ?

You might be facing such in cases like this.

First, I'd like to say thanks to everyone who's been helping out on this thread.
Here's my challenge; I use a Tecno L7 phone running on android Kit-Kat. A few days ago, my dialer started acting up. Each time a call comes in and I try to pick up, I get an error message that the "dialer has stopped".
I have tried everything I know including a factory reset but the problem persists. Can anyone offer some insight please?
Phone/Internet Market / Re: Repair/fix All Your Tecno Mobile Phones by miki2014: 9:52am On Feb 10, 2015
Hi. Some touch sensors on my TECNO L7 have stopped working. In addition, the dialer app keeps crashing so I did a factory reset but now I can't setup the phone cos of the unresponsive touch sensors on the lower part of the screen. The screen is fine. Just the sensors. Can I get the phone across to you tomorrow? Is it something you can fix?
Sports / Re: A Call For Disbandment Of This Present Super Eagles by miki2014: 10:13pm On Nov 19, 2014
Everybody talking about disbandment should just shut up!!!
This is football and it's merely a game! Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose!
The team gave their best and we should appreciate them for that. Yes there were errors at the back and even upfront, we couldn't convert our chances but this was a team playing under intense pressure tonight.
It was just not our night guys! There's still so much promise in this team and with the right management, they will be world beaters in 2 years.

EVERYBODY, FORGET ABOUT THIS AND LET'S MOVE ON!!! (without Keshi and Egwuekwe of course).

Sports / Re: Keshi & Crew, Players, Or NFF: Who Is To Blame For Poor Eagles Performance? by miki2014: 8:48pm On Nov 19, 2014
The problem was not from this game. It was obvious players like Musa were under too much pressure to win and couldn't handle it. The team gave their best in today's match but our defence was simply nonexistent. I say in life, you win some and you lose some. I hope we learn from this.

Ultimately, I'll say the issues in the NFF really messed up this campaign for the eagles. The players should not be blamed.

Can this Akpabio dude stop ranting about politics? If he has nothing important to say, let him get off the podium and allow the match to start. I thought he had more sense than this.
