[b]'Applicants should kindly refresh their browsers if they encounter time out errors, as a result of the heavy traffic on the server, which it is actively filtering.' This was part of the announcement made today. Reading it carefully it is said that at some point one may encounter time out errors which most of us faced yesterday, and then the message goes on to say that when that message comes up, refresh the browser, which most of us did yesterday but then we were taken back to login in page and all we could see was Start Exam. My point is the confusion of whether to rewrite or leave the test like that cos of fear is now clarified. The traffic made it hard for our responses to be submitted hence the error page. If after refreshing you see Start Exam instead of Exam taken, it's just simple, your response hasn't been submitted. Don't let anyone fool you, CBT exams cannot be taken more than once, if your response has been taken, you can't go back to that same page. It has been programmed to take you to an acknowledgement page once done and not allowing you to rewrite. Infact if they'll be a trap like some say to give an opportunity to write twice so one will be disqualified, then it'll only come with different questions. I wrote two times yesterday, and both with error message at the point of submission and the two times were same questions. And today after their official announcement, I logged in and it was swift, same questions still, I submitted successfully went back to my dashboard, and it showed the exam taken tab. Infact just to be sure, I logged out and logged in several times and I still see exam taken. Now I am sure I've taken the test. Please endeavour to help yourselves, but whatever decision you make is up to you. Living sef na risk. The new link works perfect, and I noticed it was only sent for Wednesday candidates, I'm not sure of other candidates slated for Monday and Tuesday, but still let everyone try, anything is possible. Good luck to us all once again |
"Once you start the exam, you must finish, you will not be allowed to retake the test, so make sure your internet is good." This was one of the things said about the test. Going by this, my interpretation is,,, if your test was successfully submitted whether automatically or manually, there's no way you could retake the test like some of us have multiple times. Like I said earlier, this is CBT, it has been programmed to collect your response and once that is done, they'll be no chance for you to retake any test. (I believe you know what I mean by now) But then it's a 50-50 chance. You have the decision to make whether to retake the test cos it isn't showing exam taken or not. There's two ways to this yet again. 1. If you choose to retake, you might actually be risking being disqualified, that's if it'll even happen and then you'll start regretting or you at the end of the day see that you've made the best decision. 2. If you decide not to retake cos you see success in your tab there, you might end up be on the loosing end, cos you'd probably not have successfully submitted like you thought (cos for every CBT, there must be an acknowledgement page showing that you're successful in sending your response), then you'll only wish you'd retake as much time as possible.. Some have retaken this test multiple times and some were successful while the others still trying. It's all risk. I for one don't believe that anyone will be disqualified for maybe attempting several times, cos if your response has been taken, you cannot in anyway rewrite. Note: you can't write a CBT test more than once if the first was successful. You can only do registration twice online. Also note that these NDLEA guys are watching and they know what's happening, but yet they haven't said anything. The server on the other hand might be controlled by them just to reduce the number of successful candidates. They'll be a time frame when it'll be freed for few lucky ones to finish their test, then closed again (remember your ordeal during registration). Just keep trying, and we might be lucky. Don't let anyone discourage, do what you feel is right. After all the NDLEA guys are responsible for all this higihaga. They should have just made the exam super tough and and easy access to the site.... All the best. |
What I've noticed........ From the look of things, I think their server is jammed a bit cos of traffic, those of us yet to log in need to be patient. The way and manner mails were administered to those writing Today(Wednesday), seems to be different. First it was Dear Candidate and not with name(that's the initial mail). Then again, there was a reminder message for this same test, which was only sent to those writing Today. Then again there were all to be placed in batches, which to me is supposed to be done on a general basis, but it was done just for those writing today, infact it even shows on the first page for you to login, which wasn't there yesterday and Monday (not saying anything is special, just an observation). I saw a post of someone saying if anyone should write the test twice, then he/she will be disqualified automatically. But then from my own understanding, CBT exams can only be done once, cos when your response has been successfully submitted, you can't be able to go to the test page, and you can't even be given similar questions to answer again, when the system knows that you must have seen the question initially. Though some agency do give room for a rewrite with a maximum.(maybe as a result of glitches as this) and it only happens when you're not able to finish at initial and you'll continue from where you stopped and not starting from beginning. Some of us finished writing and then on the dashboard, it's shown 'exam taken' which is the ideal thing to see, meaning your response has been received and you can't in anyway repeat that test. But then in a situation where you've written the test and then on loading to the acknowledgement page, there was a timeout or error, and then ok your dashboard, it's still showing 'Start Test', I feel that initial response hasn't been recorded and might still mean you haven't yet written the test (my opinion). I've written a test one time ago, at which I tried going back and I was told that I've already written that test, the other showed me that I've exceeded the number of times to rewrite the test. So it'll be best to be patient, if an error page occur, you should wait for later to check your dashboard again, hopefully it shows exam taken, and if it doesn't, you know what best to do. It's a Computer Based and it has been programmed to collect your response and confirm to you that it has been written and where reverse is the case, hence the reason we see Start Test all over again. I stand to be corrected though. And for those that listed to the twitter briefing before the test, was there at any point where it was said that writing more than once leads to disqualification? Cos from what I understood, the basis for disqualification is when one misses writing the day stipulated for him or her or writes a day and time other than the one stipulated for him. |
Those of you that are yet to write the test should be careful as to think the test is simple, cos it's logically not as simple as you think. Ok. I followed through and tried answering the questions sent by those who have already written today, infact when reading and answering the questions, I was so confident, thinking if I had written today based on the questions, then I'll definitely get a 100 cos they seem to be very easy. But then I was wrong. I decided to confirm the answers by browsing and found out that I actually got some of the answers wrong. I found out that the options may seem to be very correct based on ones understating, but it's actually wrong. That's where the trick is. When something seems to be too easy, then you have to be extremely careful, cos you might think you're right but you're wrong. Let's all be guided, read the instructions carefully, cos most have disqualified themselves already by not reading institutions well. For instance, them putting both the General assesment and law assessment before you is a trap which many have fall for, cos normally, by just putting your application ID, it's supposed to just take you straight to your own section and not asking you to pick. Read the questions carefully, then read the options carefully so as to get the right answer. You might say the time allotted is small, but it's even much, and as such you shouldn't rush but same time be tactful. Wishing the rest of us the very best of luck and those that have written the best too. |
