Magdagascariens: Isn't it just logical that parties put out their best brains and candidates?
Why do politicians amass huge monies to bribe , hire tout, etc. When they can use same to impact their constituencies, and thereby gaining their trust?
On and on! nobody puts anything. they put who can win. because only touts come out to vote, the rest stay at home on election day. 70 million registered in Nigeria only 28 million came out to vote |

Ratello: The consciousness of today's politicians in Nigeria to free money in politics will make autonomy to LG a suicide mission on the LG they represents no doubt. Good governance and even the best governance can be accessed through LG Autonomy but Nigerian politicians are not reliable and lack the political sagacity and will to marshal the efficacy of this policy of autonomy to fruition. It will definitely be grossly abused and only increase more wild partying, excessive womanising, fuji and juju dancing among these blind politicians with no vision, car racing in the name of convoy, more bloodbath during elections and increase in agberos all over. OP it won't work and can't fly. so the one we have now is working abi.? |

davidif: Sure you can. That means that according to you I am going to run for governor next elections and win a free and fair election. can you convince your voters you're the better option by next elections. I can't but who knows maybe you can. fayose did it in his first term. stop selling yourself short. but either participate or stay in your lane. I have decided to participate to the best of my very very low abilities. but I'd rather try and fail than fold my arms and do nothing. that's all evil men need to thrive. nothing. I intend to at least make them work for it. no more free reign.I intend to make them return all their loot or choose political irrelevancy (pride will not allow them) |

davidif: So you mean I can declare my intentions to run for the presidency or at least a house of rep member and the party will back me? if you're popular enough to raise the needed funding, yes. I know how many ppl donated to buhari campaign with recharge cards. not to talk of branded merchandise.a nobody cannot win. you have to have name recognition otherwise you must be represented by the already recognised names. stand on giant shoulders or build from the ground up. the question is, what have you built. are you a pastor, a Soyinka, a gani, an Abiola, a dangote or just a grammar speaker. our ppl are ignorant so you need to come down to their level (sharing, whether rice or free medical educational or legal services) Tis as good as sharing rice if not better. start small(house of Assembly grow big).not a days job or become a billionaire, philanthroph and muscle your way in fayose (first term) style. your choice. but hanging back is just... nah |

davidif: Yes I have a much better Idea which INEC is implementing which allows anyone who can gather enough signatures to run for office instead of going through a political party. That's much better than what we have at the moment I meant candidates and you know it. if you can gather signatures you can win primaries. it's still the same mechanics. more popularity more votes |

Why did nigeria a country of over a 100 million have to chose between the same old faces every election? Why did we have to chose between Jonathan and a former dicrator? Why is that?
I know that some of you people love the status quo or benefit from it but the rest of us are simply tired of it shikrna. not true. that's just propaganda to keep better qualified ppl away and they've fallen for it. why won't they regurgitate when you guys refuse to step up. haven't you seen weed smokers cripples and Mad Men controlling traffic. nature abhors a vacuum.
