Zeze06: I said the right thing bro, what I said is the truth I meant the candidate didn't say what voters wanted to hear. Not you personally unless you're the candidate then yeah, you goofed. You have to convince voters. Not enough to say you will give them light water roads. They need to KNOW you will deliver.you have to make them believe you have integrity. How much did buhari have in 2011 yet won northern vote but not Southern ones cos south was scared of domination and sidelining and that is what is happening now. |

NwaAmaikpe:

OP is very wicked to suggest Quarrying business to anyone. Gone are the days of it's profitability.
Quarries are shutting down despite the abundance of marble, granite, dolomite, kaolin, calcium and feldspar No productions, No electricity. Fulani Kidnappers keep kidnapping workers. No FX to even import machineries or parts to repair your crushers and mill. To raise Form M or even Form Q in the average commercial bank na World Cup.
From Okpella, to Ikpeshi, From Ihievbe to Obajana From Lokpanta to Ishieke, From Iyuku to Ifon From Owo to Emure-Ekiti From Nkalagu to Ajaokuta...
The solid mineral industries are suffering! Even Freedom Group and Petra Quarries are finding it difficult let alone small quarries.
The Chinese have further killed the market by their far reduced product prices due to their cheap machineries and ready professional labour.
If you have such money and you want to invest it. Just float a strip club....then thank me later. thought mining equipment ran on diesel |

That is the surest way to eliminate money politics, give opportunity to resident locals and develop a leadership nursery for the future of the state. give opportunity or youth should attend political party meetings. higgs: He is too young to be a legislator. Experience still counts. I prefer having a minimum & maximum age bracket for elective positions, maybe 30-65 years. One of the reasons Nigeria had very poor leadership in the past is because some of the leaders were relatively young and inexperienced. National calamities like the Nigerian civil war may well have been avoided if Gowon and Ojukwu were older, wiser, less hot headed and understood the enormous consequences of their decisions/actions. they were young but refused to read. Lee Kwan Yew was also young |

They clamour for change and youthful energy in politics and governance but no one is bold enough to take a step
If a certain guy tries to make a move (like Kaycee and Co), they use hate speeches, insinuating, claiming an imaginary irresponsibility on every young man trying to swim and strive in this overwhelming political tide..
Instead of listening and encouraging one another, giving everyone a chance...
Just imagine that I come knocking on your door begging for your vote and support,
I sure say una go just laugh say dis guy no get handwork
Them go even use that "get da fvck outta here picture stoning me with that big bucket" then clearly you're not saying the right things |

Suspense12: Agree wholeheartedly....the only problem is that Nigerians play money politics. Una no know more than to complain Shebi una talk say independent candidate go solve all. Now you realise its not candidature but the candidate that wins. If you can't win in party primary you can't win in general election We sell our votes to the highest bidder and so, some independent candidates that are not financially bouyant may not win elective positions. So What else is new Every country votes for the highest bidder. Ours is just prepaid while theirs is post paid The likes of jagz, mark, ekwere, atiku will still continue to dominate and they will always use their children and god-sons to dominate and oppress the masses. Wetin your papa de look. Wetin you de look Join them and fix it and stop waiting for Messiah Apart from independent candidacy, inec should enforce a limit on how much can be spent on election campaigns and the likes. It will favor the independent candidates...
Enforcement is unconstitutional. Free speech should not be encumbered Go and find the money or the integrity Buhari got 12 million votes with nothing Trump beat even the media with just twitter
|

This may not yield much at the Presidential or governorship levels yet but it'll suffice at the lower levels of lg chairmen, councillors and prolly state assembly levels. Otherwise, good people will perpetually get schemed out based on party affiliation.

Whatarewehere4: It seems like a waste of money and total waste of time/funds sponsoring females to school in this part of the world, summing up the total number of relationships/interactions and discussions i have had with the female species in Nigeria up until this very moment it appears the larger percentage of women/ladies look up to a Man for a BRIGHT future rather than rely and depend on whatever form of education they must have gotten from their parents/benefactors to create their own desirable future ...Imagine putting an able bodied lady through school (6 years nursery and primary school,6yrs in secondary school,4-5years in an higher institution,1 year NYSC prog and some even pursue and get a Master's degree ) all on hard earned money of the benefactor ,imagine after all of this effort that was put into place to get a woman to the highest level of educational status, isn't it a shameful statement to make when an educated and well informed lady says her plans to make it in life is to get a man with a bright future to take care of her and support her haa .. Maybe equipping we males with all of the education/skills we need to climb the ladder of success and doing lesser for the female folks is the right answer to this since most females nowadays have it at the back of their mind that they won't/can't amount to nothing in life without a man's support ...
I guess this mode of societal structure worked successfully and unchallenged in the past ,nowadays men seem to have woken up and now want more from a woman than just spreading your legs, giving birth, cook, take care of the house and all those archaic attributes that was used as a yardstick for SUPPORT ! Women wake up this is 2017 and even we men want to say Awwnn when we get that brand new Mercedes from you guys on our birthday heck even just as a surprise gift for being in your lives just as we men have been conditioned to believe and have been doing since time immemorial , still on the search for my own strong and independent woman though but for the time being it seems i do need to pick up a form to join the vaseline crew cos me i don tire for this ladies in Nigeria that instantly turn to an orphan immediately you guys start dating ..
P.S : I am not against supporting a woman financially, morally and in every other way a man can be of help to a woman but spending huge amounts of money to put a woman through school and at the end all she wants is to put her certificate in a clear paper bag and hunt for a man to give her a future she desire instead of striving to be people like IBUKUN AWOSIKA,Mo Abudu,Hajiya Bola Shagaya is pathetic .. how many of those women are married |

izombie: Op there are things the government should do for the people and there are things the people should do for the country. A president should provide electricity for his people and only then would you expect the people to pay for electricity they use. How do you expect me to pay toll fees when the roads are very bad? There are a lot of poor countries where everything is in place. Rich countries are rich because the government put a lot of things in place. I live in south africa and i tell you that i don't worry about electricity or water because i know my duty is to pay for these things and they'll be provided. The roads are so good that i am happy to pay toll fees. You get what i'm saying? why can't you provide electricity security or trains. Which country did govt provide these things without electorate forcing them .or you think ready made will fall from heaven |
