On Wednesday Nigeria will come against Colombia in the last match of the group face. Nigeria has already qualified for the quarter finals having won their two other group games 5-4 against Japan and 1-0 against Sweden.
However much is still at stack for both countries, Nigeria will want to maintain an 100% record in the group phase as well as try out a number of options.
For the Colombians they have everything to play for as they will be seeking their first win at the Olympics having drawn their first two games. 2-2 against Sweden and another 2-2 with Japan.
Therefore a win is must for them. And the question is will Nigeria let that happen let’s wait till 11pm Wednesday night to find out

Let’s go there..

the head to head of head between Nigeria and Colombia

Date Match Result Score Competition

17 Apr 1994 Colombia v Nigeria L 1-0 International Friendly

19 Nov 2008 Colombia v Nigeria L 1-0 International Friendly

30 May 2010 Colombia v Nigeria D 1-1 International Friendly
is this head to head friendly results for the under 23's or the senior national teams of both countries?

we might not face brazil as u believe we will, south africa are on 1 points after a draw with brazil and loosing to denmark, brazil on the other hand has 2 points from 2 draws going into their final game against denmark, iraq is also gunning for the top spot in the group, they face S africa in the final group game. here we go.....
if south Africa beats iraq they will have 4 points
if brazil plays draw with Denmark they will have 3 points< behind south Africa now
if Brazil plays draw with Denmark then Denmark will win the group with 5 points, that means hey go through as group leaders with south africa as 2nd placed team, meaning we might play either south Africa, iraq (if iraq beats south Africa) of Brazil
but i believe south africa will clinch that 2nd spot. this is my calculation

to say brazil has been a shitty team woukld be an understatement, even with neymar they are whack, 2 games against south Africa and Iraq yet no goal scored by them same with south Africa. we can beat them but i wouldn't want to meet them now cos they are the host, they have home support.

South Africa have made it difficult to reach the Men's Olympic Tournament knockout stages after losing 1-0 to Denmark in their second Group A match at Mane Garrincha Stadium. they must now win their last match to stand a chance of qualifying

sia1 should talk to the keeper Emmanuel Daniel if he is going to man the post, he appears kind of jittery in the 1st match, i would ve love to see daniel akpeyi keep instead, and i expect mikel to be drafted back to his defensive midfield role to pair with azubuike. etebo should retain his position as supporting striker to sadiq umar, aminu umar should be brought in to start in the attacking midfield role, shehu abdullahi should be cautioned, about 3 of the japs goals came from his full right back wing. amuziem is doing well at the left back position same with troost ekong in the central defence.
i really missed iheanacho, alex iwobi, isaac success, moses simon, musa mohammed, ndidi wilfred, not forgetting kenneth omeruo and balogun. in all i still believe we have a pretty strong team but it would ve been bloody if the aforementioned names were in the squad.
3-1 in favour of my beloved dream team. looking forward to the match. the land is green.

God bless Nigeria my fatherland. #bringbackthegold

Nigeria survived a scare to beat Japan 5 - 4

to set up a clash with Sweden who played out a 2 - 2 draw in their opening match against Colombia

Swedens' goals were scored by Mikael ISHAK 43' and Astrit AJDAREVIC 62'

though i didnt watch the sweden vs colombia match so i wont be able to analyse our chances against them, but with what the boys played against japan in spite of the difficulties i see us coming out with double wins against them and colombia to top our group at least to avoid Brazil in the next round assuming Brazil tops their group. with proper training and sound mind our boys will be better placed and psychologically fit to play our next matches with zeal and purpose. in naija i trust. the land is green
