s3nn2x: I beg to differ. Why the hell would I buy new phones regularly, when I could just buy the phone that suits my needs. It all boils down to needs and wants! But I still don't get the reason why someone would buy a phone and sell it at any given opportunity. You got the N7, sold it for F7 and now you wanna sell your F7 A1 for the A1+, it does not makes sense. I don't use Sammobile and I don't intend to use it, but the phone they made 2 years ago are still useful today, look at the Note II and Samsung SII. It is one thing to be a fan of a product, but it is another thing to be suffering in silence because you think that they are doing you a favour. For goodness sake, 30k plus is not a small money ooo, you guys need to fight for your right and not take any trash because you believe Tecno is doing you a favour. People have tried to let you guys see reason, but you believe they are mocking the product. It is not the price of a product, but the quality. For goodness sake there are better Chinese products out there if you are looking for cheap product, but someone will tell me about Carl Care...I wonder if there were service centres in Nigeria when GSM was introduced. Don't be deceived by Carl Centres...but who am I to advice someone here. I intend to get a Chinese phone, but I will not keep silent when I see something wrong with the product. I have been following this thread from the start, and I have not read anything impressive about the phone. No one is talking about the Camera quality, the video, the gps, call quality...etc. For goodness sake, there are more things one can do with a phone than games...except if majority of users are students!

Please,which and which China phones will you prefer and what can you say of them?

Ekondu: I ve not seen anytin bad.....the phone is just ok by my standard......but it lacks OTA.......but I don't see that as a problem......all depend on what u want anyway....as for me, I ve no regret buying the phone.......

A review said that the screen sometimes go blank,one have to remove the battery and replace to resume working.And that its display is not Sharp at all.Hence my request for info from a Nigerian and a user.

Please,Godvilla,this OTA thing that people have been praising Gionee phones for don't you think that we have to experience it here in Nigeria with their phones before we should commend? here is how to get it to last like mine
set brightness to zero. the screen is still very much visible under heavy sunlight. so set to zero.
enable E when you are on the go
enable 3G only when you wanna download
after fully charged, leave for extra 1hr
turn off wifi
turn off gps
turn off bluetooth
for crying out loud you dont use them every minute.
prioritize them


i dont want insults here cus some people here get so sceptical about these testimonies
i run my f7 from 9am to 7pm on 3g, normal use, normal chatting, check on web pages once in a while
i run my f7 for 7 hrs on 3g fully on chatting and web surfing straight up, downloads about 20mb
i run my f7 for 4 hrs on heavy downloads standby till the battery drains. both in phone and wifi tethering at the same time
i have never used edge on this phone since i bought it cus its always on tethering to my gadgets

conclusively, i grade the f7's battery to be 50/100 = managable and never gets hot rather warm as it should. i repeat!!! never HOT!!!

i leave this device plugged in from 10pm to 7am everyday and i use my samsung charger always. never used the tecno charger that came with the device. i cant tell if thats the case.

By looking at the pics of this A1(f7), nna this phablet is sweet, compact, with sexy shape, with HD, Jelly Bean. It needs to be gotten. Even though I just got n7 barely a month now.

But, the phone has ppi of 294, not up to 300. Anyone saying its up to 300 is being economical with the truth.

5.0" with 720x1280 has a ppi of 294. Just do a thorogh cross checking. Galaxy note 2 with 5.5" , 720x1280 has a ppi of 264. S3 with 4.8" , 720x1280 has a ppi of 306.

I calculated the ppi myself just like I did for n7 and got 187ppi.

Though its very much HD, for that the picture quality will be great.
