The new national anthem has been marred by so many Criticism, which in my opinion are being fuelled by emotions. As an avid lover of Nigeria, I have penned this anthem down in my notepad, looking at it daily and never knew a day like this would come that it will become the official anthem. This is the time I feel we should embrace our country and not tear it down at any slight chance. You can read more on the national anthem by checking below. God bless Nigeria. https://oldnaijahistory.com.ng/nigeria-we-hail-thee-new-national-anthem-history-composer-and-all-you-need-to-know/ |
Herbert Wigwe was a promising Banker but then I do not know much about his person when he was alive and cannot put the blame on him. Look at Elumelu and Standard bank too, alot of them. I've always frowned at roles that he and other bank owners played in the Nigerian financial misfortune, except we all want to shy away from the truth. I pray God forgives and rest his soul. You can read more about him here; https://oldnaijahistory.com.ng/herbert-wigwe/ |

The health insurance in France is a comprehensive health insurance system that provides access to healthcare for all its residents, regardless of their income or social status. The system is funded by a combination of taxes, contributions from employers and employees, and out-of-pocket payments. Health insurance in France is based on a model of universal coverage, which means that everyone is entitled to access healthcare services, regardless of their ability to pay. In practice, this means that the vast majority of medical expenses are covered by the state, including doctor’s appointments, hospital stays, and prescription drugs. https://tomicxng.com/health-insurance-in-france-how-what-to-know-and-it/ |

9japride:Na so una be Always shifting blames and playing saint. Ojukwu wanted to outsmart Gowon, he wrote his requests on a pink paper(and in the military, any suggestion written on a pink paper is never rejected) He wanted a secession while trying to convince David Ejor of the Mid Western Region to come with him so the East can enjoy oil money. Ojukwu made an audio recording and didnt wait for the National announcement of the Aburi accord meeting outcome by the head of state. Upon knowing Ojukwu’s plan, Gowon claused the decree which granted all Ojukwu's requests but placed a conditional restriction on him with the clause. The Igbos have always wanted to have their way and it further jeopardizes their chances. We don't have to hate ourselves and be bitter, let's learn history and see where we all went wrong. |
Latest ASUU strike update. Weeks after the Appeal court ruling ordered the Academic Staffs Union of Universities (ASUU) back to work, there seems to be more of an unsettled agreement as there are more confrontations from ASUU after claiming that their salaries were “amputated”. Recall that a few days back, our reporter at TomicxBlog gathered from a student of the University of Ibadan who confidently told us that his lecturer walked out of the classroom after being paid #29,000 for October. Latest ASUU strike update. However, the Federal Ministry of Labour has refuted the claim of ASUU, saying they were not paid half the salaries, rather they cannot pay for work not done. According to Olajide Oshundun, Head of Press and Publicity, Federal Ministry of Labour in a statement that was released on Saturday “The widespread reports of half payment of salary is misleading, grossly inaccurate. The statement explained that members of ASUU were paid pro rata because they cannot be said for undone work, stating that the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige never ordered the payment of half salaries. The statement read; “Following the ruling of the Court of Appeal, which upheld the order of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN), asking ASUU to go back to work, the leadership of the union wrote to the Minister, informing him that they have suspended the strike. The Federal Ministry of Education wrote to him in a similar vein and our labour inspectors in various states also confirmed that they have resumed work. “So, the Minister wrote to the Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and Planning, directing that their salaries should be restored. They were paid in pro rata to the number of days that they worked in October, counting from the day that they suspended their industrial action. Pro-rata was done because you cannot pay them for work not done. Everybody’s hands are tied.” Source: https://tomicxng.com/latest-ASUU-strike-update-we-paid-their-full-salaries-not-half-fg/
