Hi everyone, I need your advice. I renewed my international passport in London, and the collection date on the slip is April 28, 2023, but I have not received the passport. I need to travel next month for an important event outside the UK for which I have paid the full money, and I need a passport to travel. I have less than two weeks to submit my visa application for the event.
Please, is there anything I can do to get the passport as soon as possible?
Thank you. |

Good morning, my people. Please, help me to review this My dependants and I still have two years left on our visas. And I want to switch my visa from Skilled worker to Global talent. Will it make my dependant's current visas invalid? Thanks. |

Saynoomore: Public health 1) you can ask why you were not selected for the job after rejection. This will help you to master your weakness. So far as I know, they are always honest in their feedback to those people they invited for the interview. 2) always research the job criteria and essential points. Ensure you relate them to what you have done before. 3) always make your presentation an evidence-based presentation that is easily verifiable. 4) Don't give up in submitting application for other jobs. I wish you success in your next interview. |

Saynoomore: Hi Santos247, Congrats on your new role. I'm celebrate with you. I've been pursuing same (academic role) to no avail despite having a UK MSc & Ph.D. I've had several interviews on zoom and microsoft teams but keep getting the "we are sorry another candidate was more suitable for the role". I don taya. Had more than 5 interviews this yr alone!
Do you mind if we chat offline to share some inteview tips from you? Im currently with one of the Federal Univs but increasingly getting frustrated with incessant strikes and no pay! Im tempted to resort to care jobs, but trying to thread with caution so that I dont derail my career trajectory. What is your field? |

Hi all, Is £2,236 monthly salary after tax and pension deductions enough for a family of four? Husband, wife, 6 years and 1 year children. Thanks. |

DeeOneBangin: Nobody is paying more, if you read well you will see that for student it’s £470 per year and for every additional six months you pay £235. The amount you pay depends on the length of your visa. Ok, thanks. |

santos247: I am also trying to get details of this payment. MIne is not health related visa but still a skilled visa. If I intend to apply as a family, does it mean a 3 year visa will cost me: Adult: £624 x 3X 2 adults + Kids: £470 X 3 years X 2 persons That is a whooping £6564 for health surcharge alone. How will the visa fee look like? I need information from those with experience in the house.
This is also my situation and my calculations. But someone said it will be more than this when you are about to make the payment on their webpage. Taking the student's visa as example, £470 per year but they charge $1,018 per year when you want to make the payment. $1,018 is far more than £470. Probably, £624 for skilled worker could be far more than £624 at the point of payment. Anyone that just passed through this process of skilled visa can pls share more light. |
