The Western influence is another big one. Kudos for bringing that up. Alot of Naijas are not proud of their African heritage cuz its being looked down upon by Western society, and ridiculed even mores by our diasporan black counterparts.

I've seen some self-sufficient men that have low confidence. I think it has alot to do with what type features women are attracted to. Also, it doesn't help if you can't sing, dance, or if you're not funny.

It really depends on where you are. i'm not stationed in the uk, so i couldn't guess by observation/experiences.

In the diaspora, it looks like more women than men date out of their race. Most of the men either date their own, or just go back home to marry. I would probably say the ratio of women to men dating out is 2:1.
