My dear people. ..for me I can only chose where I was told "welcome home" with smiles and love over where I was asked "oga wetin you bring come back for us" with anger and frustration.
I decide to choose where I am made a host even though I am a guest over where I was a made a guest even though I am the host.

The unknown is Nigeria and the known for me is Canada.
You've said it all...... Lovely write up.

CRIMINAL............. Don't pay for this S...t, if not OYO is nickname. lol
Based on the info I gathered, NCC recruitment is outsourced to a private consultant.

If you have someone in Canada that can help you receive it and scan to you, that could be faster than waiting for standard delivery to Nigeria... Otherwise, you can go ahead with your plan.
I requested for PCC from Australia and it was posted to my friend's address as requested. The reason I did this was because an important document that was previously sent to me got lost in transit. A coloured scanned copy was sent to me via email. The body of the document has all my details, however, I discovered that my friend's name and address was written on the top left of the document. I hope this would not count against me.

kissoflife, any update as regards your ECA conversion?

Our honorable PM, JustinTrudeau, what’s BC saying? Any definite time to expect your result?

Wapu, were you able to resolve your missing result with BC? and hope you've made progress on your ECA with IQAS

Miminice, your EOR (though not needed) should be about its 10th week by now, any word from BC yet?
Hi, Just reading this. I picked up the result on the 9th week and mehnnn, it was returned the same way I sent it; no change oh.BC just chop my 15k. Anyway, I can't be bothered cos na my back up result I take use get ITA. The nine weeks was a very long wait and I must state that requesting for remark is a big gamble oh.

Kai, Y you dey talk like dis nah.....I dey laugh but seriously e no funny ohhh.

Why do we have this perception that you must be married to have a child? in this situation, the father's role here is just biological nothing more. There will be NO legal implication because she is and was never married to the man; thus she can file for her son without the father's approval

Finally, what happened to constructive criticism and emotional intelligencehuh?? jeezzzzz.

cochtrane:
Then she has to get along by force with the vial or straw, lol grin

Seriously though, I doubt CIC will allow her file PR for the child without the father's approval/consent, married or not married. It could have serious legal implications in the future for them and they'll want to avoid that.

Except of course she declares the child adopted and not from a relationship. In which case, she has to tender adoption papers. And if one-half of the child belongs to a sperm bank, a quality one I hope, she has to tender papers from them which the sperm donor has signed to relinquish all rights to any child brought forth by the power of his liquid explosion (read in Borat's voice!) grin

A final Hitlerian solution is to simply choose "Never Married" and not mention the child. Bam! Then she goes to Canada and abandons the child to the harsh and despicable Nigerian weather. Problem solved.

I am also a single mum, however, in son's birth certificate does not have his father's name, just my name. Nevertheless, I do not think you should worry about getting the father's consent since you claim you are the only one responsible for the child.
Oyinbos dey more open-minded oh, the way they see things is quite different from we Africans. I have never had issues when I added my son as my dependent for both vacation and study visas, all I just did was to explain that pikin papa no dey picture for personal reasons.
My sister, you just explain in your LOE that you are solely responsible for your son. If you have evidence like paying his school fees or any of his bills you can attach it.

amoese:
In my case I am a single mom never being married. My son is 13 years and his father is married. I have been taking all responsibilities, can't I apply without the father's consent? We don't really get along.

Good day guys,

I would be submitting my application in a few weeks, however, I reside here in Nigeria, while my dependent son is abroad in school.
My questions are:

1) Since we both reside in different locations, I hope it won't pose any problem?
2) My son is 19 and presently not an approved dependent (but will be at the end of October) is it ideal to acquire and submit all his required documents (e.g Police Check and Medicals)?

Please, I need the input of the Gurus on this matter.

Yes you can, all you need to do is write a letter of authorization and attach a copy of a valid ID ( International Passport preferably. whoever is picking up your result must also have a valid Id.

How did you tell them to remark your Ielts I mean..... Get a bank draft (N15k) IFO British Council, take it to any of their Office nearest to you. I submitted mine in Abuja and was given a form to fill.

1. what was the message you sent to them.
2. Whats the mail you sent in applying for that??
3. How much did you pay?
.......
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by miminice: 4:23pm On Aug 12, 2017
I would advise that you register and prepare for another Ielts, while you request for a remark.

My first test was LSWR 9,8,7 6.5 and I requested for a remark and I immediately registered for another test which I did a few weeks later. The result was LSWR 8,8,7,7, which gave me enough points to dive into the pool with 434. Last week I got ITA. This is the 6th week since I requested for remark for the first test and nothing yet. If you are not in a rush to get into the pool then you can wait for the outcome of the remark test, however, it's a big gamble; you may likely not get an upgraded scored.

Think smart.......

Temaad:
I've been told by a lot of people that listening doesn't get updated. I'm encouraged. I'll raise the EOR and wait. Thank you.
