I’m not being desperate or condescending, I’m simply reading what Jesus said and taking seriously the example He chose. Sure, it’s an analogy, but He didn’t use a random scenario. He used war deliberately to illustrate wisdom and strategic thinking. That doesn’t mean He was glorifying war, just acknowledging it as a real and sometimes necessary part of life.

Misusing scripture would be twisting it without context. But in this case, the context is about cost, planning, and calculated decision-making, which applies directly to the logic behind engaging in war when necessary and when one is likely to win.

What I’m saying isn’t about twisting Jesus’ actions, it’s about looking at His words carefully, including the examples He chose to make His points.

Jesus did not say one should go and start a war, but instead if war is coming, He emphasises wisdom and prudence before engaging in conflict, making sure one is capable of winning rather than rushing in blindly. So, it’s fair to say Jesus supports going to war if it’s necessary and one can succeed, rather than promoting unnecessary or reckless fighting.

If Ukraine had followed this advice they won't be in a war with Russian till today they cannot win

Jesus and his disciples were no match for the Roman Empire, hence his reason for not going to war with the Roman empire

So my friend Jesus spoke in idioms the sword he meant there is the word that's protruding out of God's mouth {Revelations 19:15} it's the sharpest weapon that can reach the figurative heart of any honest hearted individual! Hebrews 4:12 compare to Revelations 1:16

Here Jesus is talking about hatred from families and close relatives that makes many unbelievers wish that his disciples are killed for their refusal to follow pagan traditions.
This happened to me when i started the Bible study with Jehovah's Witnesses and began putting what i have learned to practice despite knowing how vicious i was as a soldier but because i have now become so harmless and peaceful even the ones who fear to talk before me now feels like slapping me on the face.

Ọmọ that's what Jesus is talking about not someone from one country carrying weapons to go and kill another because one man called president or commander in the army asked them to do so!

Jesus did not say in my name you should go and stop wars, that's the mission of the Real Jewish Messiah when He comes.

This is what Jesus commanded his believers to do:

There a devils in your organisation but you cannot cast them out, instead it's the good people you cast out.

Jesus said greater works than his will you do if you believe, what greater works have you done than to be disturbing people knocking on people's doors, which Jesus did not do.
