Politics › Re: UK Based Nigerian Explains Why He Prefers Paying Taxes In UK by Mindlog: 3:21pm On Sep 22, 2025
nairalanda1:
Yes because in Nigeria, less than 30% of the population pays taxes..in the UK it's probably the majority of the population.

And the average Nigerian won't see the problem

Same issue with electricity
The core issue is, the tax being collected so far is hugely misappropriated.

I pay for 4 figures monthly as income tax and national insurance, deducted from my salary as a local government worker here in London and I am not angered because in return, I enjoy and access services my tax is part of the funding.

When commonwealth is grossly mismanaged, the motivation to contribute plunges.

Akuruoulo:
his message is clear.
he didn't say you should treat her bad or like an outsider, but it's left for you to understand it in whatever way you wish.
PUSH YOUR SIBLINGS AWAY AND DIG YOUR EARLY GRAVE. THIS IS HIS TEACHING
Once your sibling gets married, you become his/her extended family member.

You can love and treat your wife well, while still maintaining a good relationship with your siblings. If your mother wasn't an :outsider", your wife cannot be one.

So your own brothers and sisters will prioritize you over their own spouses?

You are now their extended family member!

This is because you have never stepped a foot in the communities, otherwise you won't be this much ignorant. These communities are made up of different languages and culture and ethnic groups and they all boldly embrace their identities. Igbo may have some form of influence due to being the majority, however, they all know their origins and ancestry. And they pass the history from generation to generation.
Someone who probably have not left his region, is talking bunkum.

Ned narrated the history about his ancestry but you feel you know more than him and his people.

Wilful ignorance.

Remember how Ojukwu forcefully conscripted underaged boys from the minorities into biafra army, how biafra troops oppressed and tortured the minorities in the old eastern region into identifying with biafra. That's exactly the blue print of Igbo and their Modus Operandi. Even during the Eastern region, how the minorities were dominated to relinquish their assets , positions and properties to the igbos.
Anioma is an acronym as you posted, so share what each letter represents: A.N.I.O.M.A

When ignorance is so bold...you can also add Swahili as part of the ethnic groups that make up Anioma.😂😂😂
