Propaganda and sycophancy can't airbrush reality.

So with all the useless mopol and soldiers there no one could grab the tiny guy and tied him like a goat? Look at the useless bribe taking immigration officers looking like zombie but if na their fellow Nigerians dey will have muscle to rough handle him or her.

Can any Nigerian try half of this in France? I guess no.
I am so pissed watching the video.
Tie him like a goat as they do helpless Nigerians?

The person in question is not Nigerian but a French national...that is the difference and his French Passport protects him.

The French government through their Embassy in Abuja, even provided him with a Doctor.

That was why I opined that the Mayor of London may not be a philanthropist.

Zakat can be given in any form not necessarily through beggars though. One can organize widows, orphans, etc to reach in form of zakat, however in this context, those guys have been visiting and have been getting for more than 25yrs. Don’t be surprised some have introduced other family members.

I am not saying it is right for people to queue day and night in front of another man’s house in the name of begging for alms, they are not different from those who sit in Ikotun, Agege, etc from morning till night in the name of begging imo
Imagine living in such upscale neighbourhood where you paid premium to be a resident and having such regular defacement because your neighbour who attracts that crowd of beggars feels comfortable with it as it massages his inner needs.

How is it organized?

My friend, beggars will visit places where they will achieve their aim of begging.

Visit central London and its underground subways you will experience first class begging, no one organizes any thing bro.
Beggars are everywhere in the world but the focus of the thread is the consistency of beggars lining up in front the President's home for alms and nothing is being done to change the format, reason I compared to another Political leader, the Mayor of London who is also Muslim, if this is about Zakat.

Do the beggars in London have the habit of lining up in their mayors house to beg for alms?

Please answer this question
No because it is better organized and that is what the writer advocates.

gasparpisciotta:
I understand your point but you see religious sentiments will trump normal reasoning when dealing with street beggars.

Any attempt to organize those guys will be chaotic, those people organize themselves and wait for handouts. They come quietly and leave as they come.

Do you think that is the only type of alms he gives? I believe he has organized more alms giving for people other than those you see around his premises.
The Mayor of London is Muslim and I don't see the poor lining up in front of his residence, waiting to be given alms and that does not mean he is less Muslim than Tinubu.

He should key into the people’s ability to organize themselves and build on it, change the location and develop means the alms gets to them, effectively.

As a Muslim, Tinubu believes that his part his zakat.

Alms giving has become part of our society especially when it involves our people from the North.
Does alms giving done dignifying the humanity of the recipients, not part of Zakat?

The writer, wrote this: :"Here is a man who has occupied leadership positions for a quarter of a century but refuses to come up with an original idea regarding how to do charity while simultaneously maintaining people’s dignity and public decency".

Well written.

Tinubu loves having that crowd of beggars outside his home as it feeds his messiah complex that is well garnished with narcissism.
