Gerrard59: Then it is on every individual to fashion their path forward. I thought it was dependent on the immigration system.
So British Civil Service dey employ foreigners? Interesting stuff! Most came into the system through the health and care visa, which was the low hanging fruit (to even get the certificate of sponsorship for care jobs has even become very difficult) to switch to other sectors that also offer skilled worker visas is possible but most of the salary threshold to be eligible for it, is way higher and paying for the health insurance involved is not cheap! Yes, the British Civil Service employ foreigners who they sponsor their skilled work visa...I work for a local government in Central London. |

budaatum: Why imagine such nonsense when you can work to pay school fees instead and in a few years quadruple your earnings? Have you checked how much Nigerians in UK that you think have nothing left over after paying bills, sent home to their families in Nigeria just last year?
Stupid people invest in bills (which really is mostly the useless stuff they put in their mouth), while smart people invest in feeding their brains and mind instead so they can reduce their working hours and enjoy their life more. No mind am. Upskil to work less hours and earn more....na person dey the same UK, earning better because they delayed gratification to invest in their personal development. |

CockPit: It helped me in a way though as It encouraged a competitive spirit, I did not want to be doing worse than my mates. It's not totally a bad thing. You can encourage a child to push more without comparison, let them observe as they have the innate capacity to know what point they are, resilience takes one further than competition with mates. My parents didn't go through that comparison route, they just regularly reminded me that I should know what I should be doing and I have been self motivated to aspire to stretch myself. I am a sum product of a resilient spirit rather a competitive spirit. |

marakpa: Guys happy new year! Been married for 13 years, and I seem not to trust my wife most of the time. The traits are there, attitudinal traits, actions, talk and so many. Guys I have a short story of something that occurred yesterday that my instinct says she cheated on her girls trip out, but before i tell the story, is gut feeling or instinct accurate sometimes? Seek a marriage therapist, preferably a Nigerian also based here in the UK, to help you achieve clarity. |
