A chronic gambler, that marriage is destined for doom as such a man can gamble money raised for him to pay his child hospital bills. |

God is good. Earlier in the year, I saw a job advert by a London borough (a local government in London) which I know I am well qualified for but doubted getting it because that is a soft role some equally qualified British would apply to and get chosen ahead of me. So I had doubts and that made me submit my application about an hour to the deadline, just to mark register . Months went by, I got no response and I assumed they had moved on to the next stage and didn't make the cut for interview. Then one Friday morning, I was off work from my previous job and was at home , I checked one of my email accounts and lo and behold was an email sent 2 days earlier and was from the head of the team from the London borough I wanted to join. He apologized for the delayed response over the months and asked if I am still interested to interview for the role or I have moved on. I instantly replied I was still interested and got a reply that my interview was scheduled for 2 weeks ahead. I put in all my best in preparation for the interview because it was a do or die for me as it was an opportunity to be a government worker in London . My interview was scheduled for 10.30a.m but I was already at the London bridge by 8.40a.m after about 2 and half hour journey and the borough's office was just about 8 minutes walk from London bridge that was already milling with tourists taking pictures. I walked to the iconic Tower bridge which was 4 minutes walk from the office and sat there overlooking the River Thames, to pray, meditate and mentally psyche myself for the interview. It was a 3 part interview, the first was a 30 minutes written test, after Iwhich I was ushered in to face a 3 person management panel and that lasted 45mins (dem really drilled me) and the last stage was the youth panel which was also 45mins as the role I applied for, involved working with children and young persons in the borough and those young persons in the panel represented the views of the young people. I got down from the fourth floor to the ground floor of the borough's building and sat to relax myself as I felt like one who just came out from a war zone as the interview wasn't easy at all. Hanged around in London till 5p.m before leaving the city. I started another round of fasting and Novena prayers. A week later, I was inside the bus and got a call from a number and it was my present team manager, he informed me I have been selected for the role.....I screameeeeeed!😂😂😃 It took another 3 months to onboard me, the team manager had to check out my references, called to talk to my undergraduate HOD to know who I was during my time in that university, called my reference from my postgraduate study, called my lead at the psychiatric facility I worked in another country, called my lead therapist where I worked then the 2 other related places I have worked in, in the UK. Filled the forms for my medicals, local government pension, bank details, HMRC, the business unit of the borough confirmed the borough would offer me certificate of sponsorship to switch my skilled worker visa from my previous employer, physical verification of my academic qualifications, given a contract to sign and finally issued a new COS Switched my visa under 24hrs, given a start date and London house hunting began...got one and relocated. Showed up on the start day to meet my other team members, got my work ID and devices, looking out from the borough's office building from the uppermost floor seeing tourists snapping pictures along the banks of River Thames, capturing the iconic Tower bridge behind them.....I know Eze Ebube has brought me this far. |

Really sad. May their souls rest in peace and their loved ones be comforted. |
trium:My postgraduate studies is in Clinical Child Psychology, and play was my strong focus. Children love stimulation, reason in their first 3 months of birth where they engaged in the first stage of play called unoccupied play, their bodily movement is their "toy" as they derive pleasure from flappings their arms and kicking their legs, puting their hands and feet into their mouth. Toys make children more creative, I work with Neurodiverse children and know the central role toys play in their cognitive stimulation. |
trium:That is so very wrong, my postgraduate dissertation was focused on children outdoors play and children in prehistoric times played with toys made from suncaked muds, sticks, stones, clay, wood, etc. |
Honorary Doctorate for sale.😂😂😂 |
BadEnglish:Counting towards it.😃😃 |
Nice initiative.....human capital development. |
Calitoscassius:She has been in the UK since 2012 and has her British passport.....she is certainly not returning back to Nigeria.😂😂😂 |
Richtaiwo:Your father should take the lead......how is work today, from your oga's security house or you are not on shift?😂😂😂 |
Beuberry:I get paid my salary every 20th of the month, so January will not be long.😂😂😂 |

It is not military grade but has surveillance capability. |
Fiscus105:Are you one of the married men she is having an affair with and getting money from? How much in total are those gifts that a single woman cannot afford them on her own, no be say na bugatti she buy! It is only an irresponsible and useless man that would be spending money on women while his wife and children struggle. |
Abia PDP should go look for something else to do with their time...the man has been in Abia civil service for years and rose through the ranks to become a Permanent Secretary, now appointed Head of Service. |
Richtaiwo:Since you are one of his security guards at his "Lagos home" you are too dense to know that your oga is not in the house you are guarding.😂😂😂

SSpeter:And I have no issues with that. |
ariesbull:In private health facilities in Nigeria and it is cheaper in comparison to private health facilities in the UK. |
Commendable. |
“They are just three men but the machine guns in their hands can’t be dared. They told us that we can only get those weapons from soldiers alone and they have massive extra bullets"...indicting. |
Will they end up imprisoned for life? |
Being known over the decades for having people queue up outside your gate waiting for pittance is no human capital development but feeds on the sick urge to feel like a redemptor and there is the covert desire to continue to have such queues because if such people in the crowd have access to the bare minimums, they won't be there as there is no dignity in being a beggar. |
LEGALSER:Probably wrong taxcode or you earned above £3,270. |
galserv:People come from abroad, leaving the foreign public healthcare system because of the long waiting list because they can't afford the private healthcare system abroad and chooses a Nigeria's quality private healthcare facility which overwhelming majority of Nigerians in Nigeria can't afford and have to manage the poor public healthcare system. |
Waterwaytega:How much you go take ship am to London? By the way, that £3 no much as it is less than 20mins wage of someone who is earning minimum wage. |
NNTR:👍 |

Humn! What would have made a medical doctor to have this kind of feeling? Life no longer comfortable in the UK? Not all that glitters is always gold o. The grass is not always greener on the other side.
