CriminalTinubu:But some peoples salary has not changed significantly since Gej tenure |
Estello:No one is above mistake. The quality of a good leader is to admit his errors and take responsibility. There is supposed to be a measure in place before subsidy removal to cushion the negative effect on the economy. Nothing was put in place by past and current FG. What they're saying is that, the weak will die and the strong and corrupt will survive |
Former Nigerian hammer thrower Annette Echikunwoke has won an Olympic medal for the United States in women’s hammer throw. On her first ever outing at the Olympics, Echikunwoke threw a season’s best of 75.48 m to win silver. She finished behind Canada’s Camryn Rodgers, who threw 76.79m to win gold, while China’s Jie Zhao was third with a throw of 74.27m. The 28-year-old visited Nigeria for the first time in 2021 after opting to represent the country in 2020. She competed at the Nigerian Olympic Trials and holds both the Nigerian and African records in the hammer with a mark of 75.49 m. After being disqualified from competing at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics for missing out on competition tests, she opted to switch back allegiance to the United States. In an interview with The PUNCH, Echikunwoke accused the AFN of being negligent, which she insisted led to their disqualification from the Olympics. “That’s an absolute lie. Any time I was asked to disclose my whereabouts information, I gave it as soon as possible. I have the receipts. It’s the federation’s job to then set up testing once I give that information, and they never did. “I gave my whereabouts about six or more times, and nothing came out of it. Even when they were asking for my address, they didn’t tell me the reason why; they would just say it’s ‘urgent’ and that I needed to do testing, but never explain the full situation or the severity of the situation,” Echikunwoke told The PUNCH.https://punchng.com/ogazi-poised-for-400m-medal-after-breaking-36-year-jinx/?utm_source=telegram&utm_medium=social

kingbee90:What do you gain from war? There is no winner in a war. Everyone loses. Why is the US afraid to go into war with small NK - because everyone collects in a war. When it's preventable. Do what it takes |
helinues:This as a result of year's of neglect. Northern youths have been deprived of everything humanly possible for so long that they don't know what they want again. All they have now is rage and frustration. The a Government should have done every possible to prevent the protest. Now that it has started , no one knows the end |
Even though most Western countries will come to Israel's defence. Israel can handle this threat alone. Any outside help given to Israel will further put Israel's enemy at a disadvantage. .Is Iran that can identify a potential hostile aircraft from a passenger plane that want to tussle with Israel? |
The protest doesn't have to stop because Sowore is not leading it. We, Nigerians feeling the heat will continue the struggle. Politicians are opportunist so nothing is surprising in Sowore's action. I even give him thumbs up for starting the protest. Now it's left for us to finish it peacefully. So that... Tomorrow he won't come and lay any claim |
Anyone can post on X . |
vanbonattel:There is hunger all over the world even in developed countries. What we have is upsurge inflation where there is already hunger because of bad policies of the FG. All what he's doing now are after thoughts. Before you start building a house you need to first lay the foundation. To cushion the weight of the building. What Tinubu did what fell into Buhari's trap by started building from the roof, now he wants to build the foundation - how possible is that. Protesters are tell him to go back to building the foundation first. franchasng:People said they are hungry you said you are putting in place infrastructures. You saw what hungry people did to infrastructure in Kano, that's what will keep happening when you don't put first things first. Food is priority. Salewa97:Protest are peaceful only in the south. The hungrier the people the angrier. That's what happened in the North. This FG has nothing to offer. Same Tinubu told us to be patient for 8 years of Buhari. This is the same APC with same manifesto and even Tinubu himself said he will continue from where Buhari stopped. What we except to hear and see now is timeline of when positive things will start happening. We can't be patient without knowing for how long. That's silly |
Patient for how long? This is what I don't want to hear. We were told to be patient for APC ( that the party just came into power after year's of PDP decay) all thru the 8 years of Buhari now another APC is in power we should still continue with the patient. Haba, are you people speaking to children? Since the party has a manifesto is Tinubu not just continuing from where Buhari stopped ( at least that's what he said ) So which patient are you talking about? Nigerians have been patient enough. Right now we need concrete comments like by next month so and so will be in place to cushion the people's suffering. That was what I expected to hear yesterday. That the FG had supplied so and so tonnes of crude to local refineries which will drastically bring down the pump price. That certainly support has been given to farmers and by next year FG will put further support and supervision to monitor the distribution of food stuffs to marketers who will sell at subsidised rates. When people hear something like these they will know how long they have to be patient. But when don't give any timeline, you just say, " be patient." It means you're lying. This CNG thing they are speaking of, they should give us a timeline of short and long-term achievement. We need to hear specific details from his Ministers now. All of them are just quiet like there's no issue on ground. Do they even know their work at all? Salewa97: |
Obiedun:There are many delinquents, losers and hooligans in the UK. Their rage no different from the Alimanjiris of the North though they are not motivated by hunger. Theirs is more of frustration at the society |
Bottled up anger and resentment. Obiedun: |
Dpharisee:Back off! |
nedu666:Billions unaccounted for. All the money given where are the impact? Instead things keep getting worst |
Philipponzaghi:The demand of all of Nigeria is not every demand. You Tinubu E-rats are shameless. What has proven effective in Lagos? If you look around in Lagos the infrastructure on the ground is not commensurate to the revenue made monthly. If Lagos were poor like Ekiti and we have this infrastructure, then you can say Tinubu has a track record. But Lagos is already rich and anyone can achieve something with it. The quality of a good leader is the ability to listen, empathise and make compromises. After all, the money is not his |
Many issues the president's broadcast failed to address for me You are telling us to be patient - for how long? You didn't tell us what you're specifically doing on the issue of pump price. What should we expect next month, two, three months or next year? What are you doing about refining locally so pump price will be cheaper? These are what we want to hear. What is the projected pump price we should expect? No short or long-term promise. We should just be patient.. That doesn't cut it for me. I expect more from the President of a nation like Nigeria. All the measures he spoke about, the efforts don't get to the people. You keep giving money to state govt. Sanwolu open market for only three weeks and they stopped. Was it that the money coming from the FG stopped? So many things left unsaid. I'm really sad that this protest has lost momentum. I hope we get it back tomorrow. Cos if it dies like this. This FG won't do a damn thing . |

Are these ones not aware the Nation is in the middle of a protest? |
Tinubu we disagree that you inherited a dilapidated Nigeria from Buhari, for the reasons below: How Can A President That Claimed To Have Inherited A Dilapidated Nigeria Be Spending Public Funds Extravagantly As If You Inherited A Rich And Prosperous Country. How Would You Justify The Following Extravagant Spendings Under Your Government. 21 Billion Naira To Renovate The Vice President House. 70 Billion Naira To The National Assembly Members To Buy SUVs At The Cost 160 Million Naira Per One For Senators And House Of Representatives Members Specifically. 4 Billion Naira To Renovate Dodan Barrack Lagos Another 3 Billion Naira To Renovate Aguda House. 5 Billion Naira Was Given To Presidential Tax Reforms Committee Of Less Than Twenty People Headed By Taiwo Oyedele With Nothing To Show For It. 1.5 Billion Naira To Purchase Cars For Oluremi Tinubu Despite The Fact That First Lady Office Is Not Recognised By Our Constitution. 300% Salary Increase For The Judges Which Was Speedily Passed By The Insensitive And Irresponsible Senators. 5 Billion Naira Was Budgeted For Presidential Fleet Of Cars. Billions Of Naira Was Budgeted For President's and the Vice President's trips to The Detriment Of The Nigerians. Every Senator Is Paid 21 Million Naira Monthly. House Of Representatives Are Earning 13.5 Million Monthly All The Increment Was Done By Your Government. 15 Trillion Naira Lagos Calabar Coastal Road Was Awarded Illegally. You Have The Largest Ministers Ever In The History Of Nigeria Where Are You Sourcing Money To Pay Them. You Went Ahead To Create Another Ministry Of Livestock Development. What Happened To Orasanye Report Of Downsizing And Merging Some Of The Agencies , Parastatals And Departments. Where Is The Subsidy Money That Was Removed On Petroleum Product And Electricity? How Much Was Saved And What Was The Money Used For? Tinubu Nigerians Are Demanding To Know? The Cost Of Governance Has Not Reduced Instead It Has Increased Massively. Fuel Subsidy Removed. Electricity Tariff Hike. Education Beyond The Ordinary Citizens. Health Services Beyond Ordinary Citizens. Foodstuffs Beyond Ordinary Citizens. Insecurity And Killings On The Increased. Collapsed Economy. Unemployment On The Increased. Corruption And Stealing Of Public Funds Legalized. Nepotism Top On Your Agenda. President, Vice President, Governor's Security Votes Remained Intact. All The Allowances Paid To Our Leaders Remained Intact. There Is No Single Support A Citizen Of Nigeria Deserve From Government And The Government Is There For Him Or Her None. Renewed Hopelessness, Destitution And Deception. Tinubu, Governors, Ministers And Top Government Officials Including The Service Chiefs Heads Of Agencies, Departments And Parastatals Your Lifestyle And Extravagant Spending Of Public Funds Does Not In Anyway Show That Tinubu Inherited A Dilapidated Nigeria. Leaders Are Getting Richer. Citizens Are Getting Poorer. This Trend Must Stop! ©️ Copied. |
This refinery is in Nigeria. Dangote is also a Nigerian. What's all these stress? The FG should give all local refineries enough crude to refine to meet our local demand - simple! I don't any of them can reject that offer |
Protest doesn't mean vandalism and destruction. Only the North us to blame for the destruction going on there. Their leaders have failed to educate the vast majority of the masses. Now, these people see protest as an avenue to loot and destroy |
Silence is also a form of protest according to my sister. Tomorrow, they'll say we should support an Igbo man to be president. The North too is hypothetical. All thru the misrule of Buhari they didn't see any reason to protest. They bottled up their anger. Now, they're releasing it |
These are Sowore's demands not Nigerians. Moreover, Sowore, I'm not sure is currently in Nigeria leading any protest. You can't call yourself the leader of a protest and not be visibly seen taking part in it. This protest must not have any leader. We are all the leader. Any person taking responsibility to feed his/ her family and knows where the economy hurts is a leader in this protest. We are being kill now and Sowore that is currently in UK will tomorrow tell us he led the protest |
SisterJolade:Has the FG spoken on the protest at all? They're all eating and drinking acting like it's nothing. All sure they're waiting to see how far Nigerians are willing to go. The oppositions are weaklings. The only time they talk is during the election. Now Nigerians need a voice they've all ran away. Where is Atiku and Obi? All the past presidential candidates, where are they? Spin less fools. Nigerians should know that we ourselves are the opposition. All these politicians are only taking turns to exploit us |
The govt caused all these They were given a warning and a date the protest would commence. But all the while they were busy eating, drinking, smoking and laughing at Nigerians. Now they've seen the result and no one knows where or what it may lead to in the North because those are people who were even in abject poverty before the subsidy removal. All the anger and protest they couldn't express during Buhari for obvious reasons, they're letting them all out now |
Sonnobax15:Tinubu is wicked. Day 1. lives were lost and you still remain quiet. We're dealing with a very evil man here |
These are propaganda and lies. I nothing has changed in our local markets |
L Thewrath:You said you're not protesting. You're still complaining about a fetitious plan against your kinds Who has time for that ? |
This is the reality. Only fuel subsidy can benefit the average Nigerians. All these payments and palliatives don't get to the right people. They get trapped in transition |

Make una manage that one for now, he is building coastal highway from Lagos to Calabar, Badagry to Sokoto so that Nigerians can start fishing business on the coast line in order to end hunger in Nigeria, so make una exercise patience Tinubu is working invincibly
