@minnienellie24 hi dear. I wanted to confirm something from you. One time you said that your sister wrote a letter of consent to the visa officer for your husband, did she include her phone number in the letter?

Yes she did. It was a simple letter.

So are we saying visiting visa was cancelled?

Yes. On their database but not on her passport.

Essence of this thread.... Banter ideas back and forth.. We await OP's spousal visa application, and let's see what happens to her husband's visiting visa....

But would dig through archives and post relevant section, on concurrently running visas........

One of my aunts had similar experience, even though the visiting visa was not cancelled on her passport, it was at the port of entry she got to know it was not valid anymore.

Hello gurus in the house my wife happened to have an indefinite leave visa and also earn up to 18.600 we are planning for me to join.my questions are
1.do I need a certain amount in my acct too
2.i don't have a degree certificate. The English test is it before online application or after
3.what other supporting docs do I need as I have our marriage cert, pics before and after marriage and she has visited me in Nigeria 3times

In response to your question;
1. You do not need "certain" amount in your account since you wife earns the required amount.
2. You would need to write an English test (A1) BEFORE your application.
3. Try and search using my name for one of the posts i uploaded here about supporting documents OR READ FROM THE BEGINNING as the "Chancellors" and "Vice Chancellors" would advise.

Hello house..please i still need your advice on this matter:

My wife is kind of suggesting that she will acquire a loan from her bank to sponsor my masters program in Uk to enable stay closer to her during this period..Do you think its a good idea to do such please i need your opinion .
Note: She works full time,..she lives in a rented apartment..she is pregnant and she earns £17,800 per year which is less than £18,600 per year that is required. and she meets all other requirement..
We are just looking for a way out because she's alone

Hi @knwuna the other option i am thinking of is if you both can raise between £18k and £20k to cover for the discrepancy in her income. But bear in mind that this has to be saved in either of you's name for 6 months.
If you are wondering how i arrived at the £18, this is the summary.
18600 - 17800 = 800
(800×2.5) + 16000 = 18000.
Also bear in mind that loan is NOT an acceptable route of acquiring you savings.

Greetings all,
Please i need your advice on the below:

I got married to my wife who happens to live and work in UK..She has her bristish passport too. she is currently making plans for me to join her in UK but the issue now is that she is heavily pregnant and we cannot meet up with the travel requirement that she has to earn £18,600 per year. I have no idea with the traveling things. Please i need your advice on what to do please or best way to go about it..please.
NOTE: She earns less than £18,600 per year. she has rented her apartment. What should we do..pls

Hi @Knwuna as @ Lexusgs430 asked earlier, is it the pregnancy that caused the drop in her income? or better still is she on maternity leave hence the drop in income and Is she in a full time employment before the maternity? If your answer to this questions is "YES", then she would be assumed to be earning the amount on her contract and not the amount she is earning now that she is on maternity. But if its the other way round, I would suggest you guys wait till she puts to bed and resume back to work. You could read up the UK website more to know what your chances are though..

Am really sorry senior justwise like to come in there .
When I was applying I went through people's application I saw they got letter from land lord that its okay for their spouse to live there even on this platform cos some landlord might just want only one tentant .
Even us we got the tenancy agreement and a letter that he is aware of my coming and he is fine with it .
That lettter from landlord wont be bad . cheesy

My hubby submitted his application without a letter from the Landlord. Just a letter from the other occupant of the 2 bedroom property.

Ok please help me get clarity on this case @justwise. My hubby stays with his besty in a 2 bedroom duplex and their bills are exclusive and shared between both of them. Do I still need a letter from his agency stating that I can stay with him?

@Aphrodite007 My case is quite similar to yours. When my hubby wanted to put up his application this year, I got a 2 bedroom with my younger sister and the rent and bills was shared between us and we had both our names on virtually all documents related to the house but i was made the lead tenant. She only wrote a letter of consent that she is aware my husband was coming and it was very okay with her for him to live with us. I called a company to carry out a housing inspection with a supporting certificate or letter from them and i provided all my sisters details required in the application form. We got no letter from the agent or Landlord.

Hello gurus in the house, I have been following this forum for a while though just registered recently because I believe in what you guys are doing, keep up the good job.
Please I am in the process of applying for a spouse visa for my partner but I still have few questions to ask.

First of all do I need to be in a permanent job to be able to sponsor him. I am based in Uk while he lives in Nigeria.
I need to know pls as my recent job is killing me but I do have a second job with an agency though not in permanent contract with them.

Justwise and the rest of the gurus pls I need your help.

Thank you.

Hi @Chilove02 As at the time my hubby applied march this year, I was working with an agency on a temporary role since February 2016 till when he submitted his application. But the good this was that i was earning more than £18600 when all my weekly wages was summed up after 6months. When i read the Financial requirement guidiance note(Appendix FM_1_7_Financial requirements) page 27, There was an example of a Fashion photographer with varying income.

Hello everyone,
I have been following this thread for a while now but as a guest and I must confess it has been so helpful.

Fastforward to this year. I got married and hubby applied for his spouse visa following the details in the thread. and WE GOT A BIG YES!!!
NB. I was working for an agency and I was been paid using the minimum wage for over 25. I was so skeptical about our meeting the financial requirement but i kept trusting God for the best.
Our timeline is as follows:

06 March 2017 - Submitted Application online and made payment.
10 march 2017 - Went for Biometric at VI and posted document to Sheffield using DHL
13 March 2017 - Documents received and signed for in Sheffield (Tracked this using DHL tracking number)
05 April 2017 - Automail requesting for supporting documents by sponsor. (Hubby replied using the Contact us link on their website)
08 April 2017 - Message from sheffield asking for reasons for escalation.
04 June 2017 - Decision made (Tracked this using the new link posted on this forum)
07 June 2017 - Supporting documents returned to me
12 June 2017 - TLS accessed and ready for collection
13 June 2017 - Passport collected with Visa.
ALL GLORY TO GOD!
