Foreign AffairsRe: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by Mintum: 2:53pm On Nov 23, 2022
Few days ago, the fake news media and every lunatic on the left were filled with outrage and blaming the right wing for the Colorado springs mass murders but now that he has been confirmed to be part of the LGBTQ community, they have now made a U turn and now painting him as a victim. Now the outrage is out of the window and we're now hearing how the shooter was bullied for being queer, how he was a victim of online harassment and all sorts of rubbish. Just few days ago, they were claiming the future of the entire country was under threat just because they found out his grandfather was a republican. Bunch of hypocritical bastards.

There are reports that the Colorado Spring mass shooter is the grandson of a MAGA Republican.
You were looking for any reason just to link the shooting to MAGA republicans, now that the shooter has been confirmed by his lawyers to be a member of the LGBTQ community, hope you will have the decency to come back here and correct that dishonest agenda you were pushing.

1.) I've been in the US since I was 5. Studied diverse subject matter (from Huminites to Astro Physics) at excellent schools. And there is just so much I'm still understanding about the US History, law and culture. You haven't been to the US, I assume haven't formally studied its histroy, don't have an inkling about it's laws and don't understand the culture fully, yet are parroting sites from people who probably wouldn't let you (I assume you're a Black Man) date their daughter. Make that make sense.

2.) You live in Nigeria, in the midst of Economic(changed Dollar at 900 two weeks ago) and Security turmoil and yet you're investing so much time/energy posting about the US, a country you've never been to? Make that make sense to me.
Is this another Asiwere SonofLincoln/Abbeybailey in the building? What is all this rubbish of I've been in the US since 5? And so what? You are on a Nigerian platform and on a thread specifically opened for Nigerians interested in foreign politics to discuss it and yet you are whining about Nigerians discussing foreign politics. Is that not very stupid of you? If you don't want to see Nigerians discussing foreign politics then get the hell off Nairaland and go to a non Nigerian forum.

Yeah, she should have spent more time learning how governments work. The House is 1/2 of that purse, the Senate is the other. No such bill would pass the Senate. And to defund the Special Prosecutor they would most likely have to defund the whole Justice department. Good Luck with that.
And why can't they defund the entire Justice department? If the only thing they are useful for is going after the the president and his party's political opponents, then they have to be checked. What Biden and his DOJ are doing is exactly what you expect in third world countries, some third world countries don't even do that anymore. There needs to be checks and balances in government, if the Executive arm starts behaving like third world dictators then it's the duty of the legislative and Judicial arms to put them in check.

Smart talk by Biden because confirming it came from Russia and hit a NATO member will mean that NATO must go to war with Russia and nobody wants that.

The ref stopped the fight too early, Adesanya was not out, he slipped while trying to step back from a punch and he immediately tried to get his balance, his opponent saw an opening and landed heavy punches which hurt Adesanya but he didn't fall, he stayed on his feet yet the ref rushed in to stop the fight. And BTW, Adesanya was winning the fight easily until he got caught with that punch in the final round.

Florida fixed their system after the chaos they had in Broward county in 2018 and their elections have been seamless since then but Arizona seem to have just taken the chaos of 2020 in this same Maricopa county and made it ten times worse.

Maricopa and Arizona should do something about election procedures. Their system is such a joke and useless
Same with Clark county Nevada, and democrats chances are increasing by the minutes the more they continue their chaotic tabulation of results. Guess those who they call "election deniers" might not be crazy after all. This is the kind of bull shit you see in third world countries, no transparency whatsoever and the amount of outstanding ballots to be counted keep changing every day with no new ballots received. Even in supposedly "shit hole" Nigeria, elections are much more transparent and better run than this shit show going on in "advanced" USA. We just had one in Osun and the results of every single LGA was already public knowledge few hours after the elections and long before INEC even announced it. I wonder how Americans came about having electoral laws where the party agents are excluded from observing the tabulation process, that's a recipe for corruption and rigging especially when some candidates running for office are directly in charge of organizing the very elections they are running in.
Foreign AffairsRe: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by Mintum: 9:06pm On Nov 09, 2022
Better News in Arizona where Kari Lake is almost certainly going to be the next governor and Blake Masters is finishing strongly. It's looking like it will all come down to that one race in Georgia. Warnock vs Walker, winner takes all for the control of the Senate.
Foreign AffairsRe: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by Mintum: 8:57pm On Nov 09, 2022
The democrat have started their after elections magic in Nevada. The officials had earlier announced 18,000+ outstanding mail in votes in Washoe county and refused to release the number of outstanding for Clark county, they also froze all counting and tabulation in democrat leaning districts and waited for the republican leaning districts to turn in almost all their results and suddenly the same officials have come back to announce that Washoe county now magically has 57k+ outstanding mail in votes and telling people they should keep sending in their mail in votes until Sunday. I was saying I hope we won't hear a magical additional 100k+ votes in Clark county, well rumor now has it that they are actually going to announce an additional 150k+ votes for Clark county and keep receiving more mail in votes there until Sunday. This is a clown show, that's exactly what election rigging in a shit hole looks like. Election turnout in democrat leaning districts were so low that they needed this extra huge number of mail in votes to close the margins. Not bad if you are transparent about it but deciding to conceal the number of mail in votes received until you know what the election day margins are is crap. Worse still in Washoe, they announced the number of Mail in votes received to be 18k only to come back and say it's 57k after knowing what election day margins are. Nevada Senate race is most likely going to switch back to the democrat by the time they are done with all these their shenanigans on Sunday. And they will call people election deniers and conspiracy theorists when they pull third world, shit hole country stunts like this.

I said it here first a week ago, Thomas is going to resign or be forced to. How much dirt can a supreme Court Justice handle?
Lol, he is more likely to go on and become the chief justice. Chief justice Roberts is the only one among the conservative justices that will be willing to retire or resign while a liberal president is in office. Justice Thomas is a battle hardened Justice that has faced and won a lot of battles against liberal propagandists for decades so this current hue and cry by leftists is nothing new to him, he will probably be having a good laugh over your tantrums.

Cos Trump praised her last week that Look at Kari of you ask her that how's her family the first thing she will say is that election was stolen
I just pray God will touch his heart to step down for DeSantis, the last thing I want to see is a Trump vs DeSantis war in the 2024 primaries.

That would be interesting but from what I am seeing, Kari Lake will likely win because the outstanding votes are all breaking for her.

Trump went on Truth social to bash his own candidates Oz and Bolduc claiming they would have won if they were more unequivocally Trumpists. Bolduc flip flopped on the issue of whether Trump won the 2020 elections, same as Oz who didn't equivocally declare that Trump won in 2020 so in Trump's reasoning, his supporters didn't trust them to be MAGA enough and that's why they lost. What manner of a man is this Trump? grin

in the bigger picture what does this mean in the Senate outcome
We may not know who will control the Senate until December. Possible outcomes of the three remaining outstanding races (Nevada, Arizona, Georgia);

1. If republicans win in Arizona and Nevada then they take control of the Senate.

2. If Dems win both Nevada and Arizona then they will be guaranteed control of the Senate because they will have at least 50 seats and the VP Kamala Harris vote gives them a majority in a 50:50 Senate

3. If GOP and Dems win one each out of Arizona and Nevada then Georgia will be a winner takes all, any one who wins the Georgia race will control the Senate.
Foreign AffairsRe: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by Mintum: 5:58pm On Nov 09, 2022
Confirmed!! Georgia Senate race is going to a run off. So they'll have to do it all over again.

Warnock vs Walker, winner takes all.

ABC News just ran a piece about the "red mirage". This phrase was coined in the fall of 2020 in an effort to explain the election day route by Republicans that would dry up as votes were counted from mysterious ballot dumps. The end result was that EVERY SINGLE STATE that counted for days happened to find just enough votes for Democrats.
Exactly, that's why I find what's happening in Nevada very fishy, they've completely frozen all reports from democratic Clark county and are apparently waiting for all republican leaning districts to turn in their final results before continuing. Why? Beats my imagination. I just hope we won't see a magical 100k+ votes added in Clark county because that would be a very big red flag.

Am just happy for Ukraine,a republican senate would have bleeped them up
House of reps are in charge of financial appropriation and it's going to be under republican control. And what makes you think the republicans don't support Ukraine? Last time I checked, it was progressive democrats that wrote a letter criticizing the continued funding for Ukraine.

Republicans actually gained Senate seats in 2002 and 2018

In 2018 Democrats flipped Congress They called it a Democrat victory
In 2022 Republican flipped Congress They still called it a Democrat victory

The delusion is really high
Exactly, it's looking like the best democrats can get in the Senate this time will be a 50:50 Senate if Warnock wins in Georgia.

Lol this is copium of the highest order

Since 30 years ago everyone knows for a fact that the opposition win the midterms

This one you are saying proves the point that republicans as the opposition don’t have footing in recent times

Look at the 1994 election, 2008 election, 2018 election and look at what makes they have alike.
The GOP only lost the house in 2018 but they retained control of the Senate. Dems are certainly going to lose the house this time and the Senate is still a toss up so I wouldn't be mocking if I were you, there's still a possibility Dems end up worse than the last mid term under a GOP president. At best it will be a split congress just like in 2018.
Foreign AffairsRe: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by Mintum: 5:18pm On Nov 09, 2022
On a second look, I'm getting more confident about a Blake Masters victory in Arizona, I even think he has a better shot than Laxalt in Nevada because of the unknown factor i.e the number of mail votes still left in Clark county (Don't know why they are hiding that detail, looks fishy). All of the votes left to be counted in Arizona on the other hand are election day mail drop offs which has broken 60-40 for Masters so far, he might just pull it off. Nevada needs to be more transparent with their elections, Laxalt looks good for the win but with them refusing to say how many mail votes are left in heavily democratic Clark county, who is to say that we won't suddenly see a magical additional 100k+ votes emerge from there after waiting for all republican leaning districts to turn in their returns? It won't be the first time it has happened, I saw this in Broward county, Florida in 2018, almost same playbook. I hope it's not the case here though. Transparency breeds confidence in election processes, I wonder why you will be hiding information if you're not doing anything fishy.
