Iran didn't inform america per se, they told them to back off and refrain from helping Israel because they know if America help Israel, a lot of their missiles will be intercepted, but without America's help, more will hit their targets because Israel doesn't have the capacity to intercept hundreds of objects at the same time - as has been proven by the October 7 attack.

But despite the help from America and others, Iran still hit some major targets. This shows that Israel doesn't have any defensive capacity against any major threats at this point.

Without help from America, one can send a few hundred cheap drones with high impact, followed by hundreds of ballistic missiles and Israel will be wiped off the surface of this earth

I made up my mind not to respond to anything bordering around Iran and Israel,on nairaland but after seeing this stupid analysis,I will say a few things.
After losing 9 generals,men who were in active service.you even lost them in your consulate.
You now had the mind to inform Israel of your attacks.
This is an insult to the memory of the generals that served Iran.
You are simply telling those in your military that you do not really care about them.so even if they die fighting for Iran,nothing for them.
See what Israel is doing to Gaza after oct7th attack,this my dear is the definition of exacting punishment..
Imagine what America will do to Iran,if Iran kills five American generals.
Imagine what Russia would do to anyone that takes out 9 Russian generals.

So the argument of Israel and the west spending billions to defend Israel is absolutely nonsensical to me.its only a way to evade the fact that Iran failed woefully in their attempt to exact revenge.

How is it hogwash? The cost of each David Sling and Iron Dome payload is well-known, and the 2 billion dollars estimate was made by an IDF general. Western weapons are super expensive and even their leaders complain about that a lot.

It is nearly impossible for Iran to give any meaningful assistance to Hamas but Hezbollah is still formidable and hundreds of times more powerful than Hamas.

So in other words,Iran is not the sponsor of Hamas and Hezbollah?

This is what many of them don't get. Iran's attack was mostly symbolic. In a real war scenario, they wouldn't inform Turkey, a NATO ally and start their attacks with drones flying at low speed from Iran which is thousands of miles away from Israel when they have better options available. Iran has many options, one of them being to start by overwhelming Israel's air defense from Lebanon before unleashing a barrage of ballistic missiles.

Another thing they fail to note is that everything Iran expended was less than $100 million (according to some estimates) but it took Israel a whopping $2 billion dollars to defend. Can they sustain such ratio in a real war scenario without using nuclear weapons, considering that they will have to deal with projectiles from Hezbollah and the Houthis as well?

The reason why Israel is bombing civilian building is because, Hamas will commit a crime,remove their uniforms,and hide amongst civilians,so that when Israel kills them,it will look as though Israel is just killing civilians.
During the oct7th attack,didn't you see that even the civilians in Gaza were celebrating and shouting Allah uakbar.
This war is not a conventional warfare were you fight against people on uniform,but people that look like civilians.
This is why israel should not be blamed for civilian death,if Hamas actually loves their civilians,they should come out and fight man to man.

Israel has the strongest air defence system in the middle East,infact their air defence system is way stronger than that of Iran.
