The Bible doesn't in any place declare that one of the ways to know a prophet from God is if his prophecies come to pass. The Bible is very careful of the desire of men (with respect to knowing the future) and it states without equivocation that what proceeds from the mouth of the dreamer, diviner, or prophet thereafter (when the sign or dream comes to pass) is what verifies him or her as one from Jehovah.

Balaam was a prophet who prophesied in Jehovah's name but his disqualification was what followed after all prophecy was exhausted- he counseled his people to follow unrighteousness. The Book of Hebrews makes us know that all prophecy had a common destination- that all may come to the knowledge of Christ and turn away from unrighteousness; to this very day, God's modus operandi hasn't changed. Dreams and prophecy must result in the acceptance of the Blood of God.

If you look closely at the words of the dreamer of this thread, the OP, he has two places declared that his dream is from the Lord; however, he doesn't point anyone to the Cross of Calvary. The Cross of Calvary is our litmus test, and this man failed the test. I say this because of what he points to- himself.

Remember water gushed out of the Rock Moses struck, yet Moses was disqualified from entering into the promised because he didn't point to Christ (when he struck the Rock a second time; a Rock that was to be struck once and for all). Don't let the greatness of any sign or proclamation turn your mind towards events or things when Christ and the righteousness in Him are not revealed.

This dreamer hasn't brought anyone to the knowledge of the intimate relationship with Christ for the time span his dream has been on NL.

Yes I agree with you completely. Concerning dreams, that was why I wrote about the INTERPRETER himself instead of writing about how to interprete dreams.

I have never so believed in dreams because I believe we can affect our destiny. Rather I believe that someone who truly interpretes dream should be Born Again and filled with the Holy Ghost, because we are not talking about what we dream, we are talking about knowing God, knowing His Will and changing destinies for good, as that is the gospel.

So many people want to know what there dreams mean. What would it profit you if you know? To me that is like superstition. Although I have shared in this forum severally what I dreamed and how it came to pass. But you would have noticed repeatedly that I always stated that I prayed and claimed the ones that came to pass, and rejected the negative ones that could lead to death, disaster or sorrow. But if I dream, like the case I saw four Hurricane winds causing destruction on earth and did not pray about it, it is because I choose not to. I cannot be praying about every dream I dream anyway, it would be madness!

For those who want interpretations of dreams, please what is the benefit of knowing the meaning of your dream and not be able to do anything about it? Is it because Dreams control us or we should control dreams? A child of God should give meaning to his or her own Dreams, meaning WE should be in charge of our Destinies. Dreams are meant to serve us not we serving dreams. If I know what would happen in future through Dreams I should be a mumu if I accept a negative dream and say it is my fate!

Its important to know the meaning of your dreams to pray against evil or claim the good dreams or avoid certain things. What I don't believe in is running to a prophet EVERYtime you dream. God speaks to all who worships him with all their heart.

I count myself blessed and favoured that I dream. Some I understand, and the many I don't I have a prophet whom God uses to direct me.

I thank God for His mercies.

I pity people who don't dream, don't care to and don't believe in dreams nor take their dreams seriously. My loved ones, friends and I have been saved from danger, implication, shame, sickness...through the warnings I get in my dreams. But for those who doubted, I stood in gap for them though, some rarely come to pass and they see it with their eyes.

I am still struggling with ignoring people who like to argue with me about dreams.

A colleague once said that when you dream of death or accident, you shouldn't worry for as long as you've seen it in dream it will not come to pass. I got tired trying to talk her out of such belief.

There was the case of a pregnant woman who while waiting at the bustop to go pick her children from school, a trailer hit her and she died at the spot but her little child with her survived. Virtually everyone concluded that that was how God wanted it. The will of God. The statement really got angry and still anger me till today.

I tried to let them know that destruction, sudden death and the likes are never God's will for us, citing some bible quotations.

Most often, people are spiritually blind. Even when their instinct warns them they still prove stubborn.

I don't know much about the things of the spirit but I thank God for bringing me thus far.

Many in this forum have given their opinions about interpreting dreams, it is now my turn . Interpreting dreams is now a popular science that can be studied. Anybody can interpret dreams, but today my emphasis is on the INTERPRETER and not just the interpretation.

In the Babylonian days, Nebuchadnezzar had all sorts of INTERPRETERS: sorcerers, magicians, astrologers, enchanters, and so on. For once in his life, he did not want to be deceived when he had a nightmare, so he commanded them to tell him his dream first before they can interpret it. Nobody was able to do that, claiming that only God can. When Daniel was called upon, he interpreted Nebuchadnezzar dream, claiming that God showed him through prayers. Then King Nebuchadnezzar believed and confessed that Daniel had the spirit of GOD.

Today people are so concerned about interpreting their dreams. Nobody is so concerned about having GOD and knowing HIS will? A true INTERPRETER should
1. Be filled with the Holy Spirit like Daniel. I cannot over-emphasize this factor!
2. Secondly, interpretations come from God. The Holy Spirit is the KEY here, we must ask Him for interpretation first.
Take note that because we are children of God, we can change anything. King Hezekiah was told by prophet Isaiah when he was sick that “The LORD says you won't ever get well. You are going to die”. Did King Hezekiah die? No he did not die because He prayed to God to cancel it and his life was extended for 15 years more.

You can now see why a true interpreter could help because it is not about interpretations alone, we are talking about changing destiny too. So be careful with interpretations using unbiblical sources because though satan can also interpret dreams correctly but we would end up in the permissive will of God for wrong guidance and not His Divine will.

I once had a dream wherein I saw my senior brother driving a red car. I woke up and claimed the dream for him in JESUS name. I went and told him that I had a dream in which I saw him driving a red car, so he will soon buy a car. Was I performing magic here? No I HAVE PRAYED that this should happen. The guy was so poor that he ignored me completely. When he bought a car later on, it was blue color. I walked up to him, laughing, and said, “When I told you that you would soon buy a car, you ignored me. Now that you have bought a car, I know you would believe me better. But this blue car is not the car I saw in my dream. So YOU WILL STILL BUY A SECOND CAR THAT WOULD BE RED COLOR.” This time around he did not ignore me but listened. This second time, someone bought and brought a red car for him from Cotonou, Benin, meaning that he did not make the choice himself. When the red car arrived, I told him “bros, now this is the car that I saw in my dream”. What am I saying here? An INTERPRETER should be responsible for interpreting dreams meaning you can claim or even reject a dream in JESUS name that could potentially destroy your families.

As you read your Bible in the spirit, more spiritual insight would come concerning your dreams. If you can dedicate yourself to do this, you will become a dream interpreter. STEP 4: Cry out to God for spiritual gifts of interpreting dreams God is still in the business of distributing spiritual gifts to his children. In the areas of dreams, if you find out that you don’t seem to have the gift of interpreting dreams, and as a Christian, then you should cry out to God for it. Because I believe one day, the Lord will answer your prayers in Jesus name. However, you must disturb God about it oftentimes.

STEP 3: Find out how the dream ended This is very important in interpreting your dreams. How a particular dream ended can give you a clue that such dream could be bad or good. Despite the fact a dream started well and ended badly makes the dream terrific. If you study your Bible well, you will discover Pharaoh and Nebuchadnezzar’s dream ended bad.
