you r exactly in my shoe except my husband is not demanding but i have 3 kids (age 4-cool to cater for, 3 bedroom house with 2 stairs, garade and garden to keep clean always.ironing, cooking, cleaning and many more. I find it hard waking up at night for tahjud and I pray ALLAH have mecry on us.
Sissie: salam sisters
how do you find time to do ibadah during ramadan, being a worker/student, mother and doing the cooking for iftar and sahur, how do you juggle going for tarawih, reading the quran and doing tahajud.
i think the men finds it easier than us.
personally, i go to work, immediately i get home, i head to the kitchen to cook, break my fast, pray, read the Quran but praying tarawih is a struggle and waking up for tahajud is another.
am sure its tougher for married women, who work and have little children and demanding husbands.
i know its just the beginning and i will adjust to the situation but then how do we still do it.
we women multitask alot.

salam sister and thank u. now i am satisfied with the answer.
k4kenny: Wa alaykum salam.

Well, I don't know Islam's position on french kissing but encourages displays of affection between couples even during Ramadan, as long as there's no exchange of body fluids.

On th other question, there's a part in Surah 2, that says a man can have vag.inal sex with his wife from any position as long as he isn't penetrating the anus. So there you go grin

very funny
PEN_MIGHT: Haba! So ,now someone is threatning house arrest.

I don't think he is guilty of anything. Technically, he is just stylishly migrating from one of Allah's Land to one of another Allah's Land.

Allah says" Travel through the land..." It is only convenient for him to obey that obligation in Ramadhan.
Islam for Muslims / Re: Any News On when we are to start Fasting? by missbola1(f): 2:52pm On Jul 09, 2013
@ pen might. funny u said that cos my husband for the 3 ramadan gone, he travel to nigeria BUT this time around I made him wait here. so this is why he travels to nigeria so that he can avoid the long waiting time.....wait till he comes home now...
he lied to me, he said he goes to nigeria during ramadan cos he can focus and not look at naked womem here on the street.

Wa alaykum salam. I won't be able to start 2moro but i hope to start on Friday insha Allah. I know for those days i miss I have to make it up after ramadan.

Islam for Muslims / Re: Thread For Muslim Reverts by missbola1(f): 1:23pm On Jul 09, 2013
Salaam alaykum to everyone on this thread. To LeoChinedu, I love your courage and may Allah make is easy for u till the end, amin.

Very funny, the video tbaba post at the top was the one i was watching on youtube b4 i came here.

I'm not a total revert to islam cos i was born muslim but going to church and NOW practising muslim with meaning and faith, Alhamdulillah. I've been a practice muslim for 3 years now, and my faith and fear of ALLAH still growing. I love Islam and i trully belive is the only way out to Paradise.

My advise to New Practising Muslims:
1. Please Please do research on the internet, youtube, watch Islam/Peace TV on channel 820 if u live the the UK.
2. Pleae go out to Islamic shops and buy books to read apart from QURAN.
3. Avoid watching any movies rated 15&above. U need to reduce listening to music from 100% to 5% at least. Just islamic songs for now.
4. Dress modest and cover heads for women.

In my experience, u need to understand what islam is b4 u practise, this will lead to being mature and stronger muslim without the fuss. knowledge is power and power is ALLAH, so know that when u do research yourself, u learn better and focus. Insha ALLAH, this make sense. SALAM EVERYONE.

Thanks for all ur confributions.
I am a lecturer in a fed Uni. The issue of Me going for students in campuses am not too comfortable wit it. I prefer a working class woman possibly refer to by someone who knows her wel.
The issue is that I dnt think I hav enof tym (like say 1 or 2 yrs) to critically study her.
Also, I think any tribe other than my tribe wil just be fine.

what tribe r u? yr age? have u talk to the brothers at mosque? what about the imams? what language do u speak? what about the female lecturers? are they too old?
Islam for Muslims / Re: Muslim Singles, Let Us Have A Talk by missbola1(f): 11:54am On Dec 06, 2012

Marying outside my tribe ofcourse.
The truth of d matter is that the way you ppl are able to hold intelligent discussions here on NL is exactly the kind of material I want in woman.
Where I am currently staying, they are not readily available. They ar either taken or bethroted.
There, you hardly see a woman of that age and attributes free.
Thats why I feel a woman frm another tribe wil be fine and ok.

then i think u should look into 'yoruba practsing muslim' women. i think they are ok but just make sure that u tell her that 'no juju' because this is quite common within yoruba tribes,(i dont know other tribes that's why i said yoruba). what do u think?

omosexy1: Peeps don't get me wrong I am not against Pastors or so called MOG. They have a business to run and like most business owners they are entitled to the benefits associated with owning and running a business especially one that is successful. I'm just bother about the services they provide, what are they truly selling? As a business development manager, it baffles me. If they claim to be inspirational or motivational speakers probably I would begin to see them differently. A church is a non-for-profit organisation (NGOs) and like most non-for-profit, their main aim is to ensure that their members benefit from their products or services and not to make profit. However, with Nigerian churches the reverse is the case, church are amassing wealth, the owners are buying jets, owning schools expanding their business ventures. I have never seen where the President of a non-for-profit organisation amass such wealth (NEVER). Unlike many non-for-profit organisations, where members are entitled to know and have on account how their funds and resources are being deployed, Nigerian churches do not provide such information to their members. Their members are not aware of how their organisation is being managed. I do not want to associate myself with such.

i like your wrtiting. which church do you go to that u will avoid to contribute to the pastor' wealth. or you catholic or jehovah witness? anyway i'm a muslim.

seriously, is it is sin if a man divorce then get married again if the ex-wife is alive in christianity? is this in the bible?

so those christians who are in second marriage are going to hell?

so what happen if either partner doesn't allow the other partner in bed? is this for real?

please enlighten me, thanks.

salafiyy: DOGMATISM AND BRAIN WASHTED...I AM PROUD TO BE A MUSLIM...

i am too. in islam, we give 2.5% of our savings YEARLY after you LOOK AFTER YOUR IMMEDIATE FAMILY(wife, children, mother, father, etc) and PAY YOUR DEBTS(to anyone u own money to. The 2.5% go to the less priveledge/fortunate, not only in the mosque.

And did u know that there's no such thing as 'ASALATU' in slam. it's a yoruba made-up thing. building mosque and lecture room is only permitted.

I tell u sumtin, in my friend's church, they have a card that they write their tithe weekly and everyone knows how much they are owing the church. the ones that pays regularly is the one that has blessing from God, what a pity brain wash people. i think their pastor has put a spell on them or maybe they deserve it because they are christains. what a joke!

Thanks to ALLAH that He made me muslim and not just any muslim but a practising and knowledgeable muslim that knows my rights and not brain washed. I AM FREE! ALIHAMDULILAH!

I mean not quite so blunt.

is that a bad thing?

Islam for Muslims / Re: The Challenge Of Christmas For Many Muslim Families by missbola1(f): 5:26pm On Dec 04, 2012
if somebody says merry christmas to me, i say to them 'may ALLAH bless you' or 'same to u' or 'thanks'. in respect to these, they know clearly that i don't celebrate christmas.

if my friends invite me for christmas dinner, i will go to their house a day after not on chrismas day. i keep my children busy on chrismas day at home.

but i think everybody knows that christmas is not the birth of Jesus, in russia they celebrate christmas differently, jehovah christians dont celebrate christmas and easter. christmas is for business; buying ang giving everyone presents.
Islam for Muslims / Re: The Challenge Of Christmas For Many Muslim Families by missbola1(f): 5:10pm On Dec 04, 2012
i live in london and my children school is multicultural; christians, muslims and hindu(indian). they celebrate all these at school but the christmas takes more effect because it's christians' country, (2 weeks holiday in december, 2 weeks holiday in april for easter but only a day off in Eid).

I believe communication with actions is they key here. I talk to my children alot about different things in life such as what is the beliefs of christians and beliefs of muslims. i tell them that christians believe that Jesus is God and muslims believe that ALLAH alone is the creator of us and Jesus(PBUH). I tell them that Jehovah christian dont celebrate christmas & easter because they dont believe. I tell them that christmas is a western people culture not religious purpose so dat the government can sell products, etc. I show them the news on BBC that advise people not to drink and drive(over 200 death last year in uk of drunken drivers or passengers) at chrismas and i ask them should people get drunk on christmas?

my eldest child(7yrs old girl) is quite vast at learning and understanding, thanks to GOD, she knows not to eat pork, only halal meat, they will not eat haribo sweet cos it has pork gelatine in it, etc. if someone should ask her about God, she will tel u dat only ALLAH is worthy to worship and all the messengers of GOD preach to obey GOD. she will tell u dat praying 5 times a day is a MUST and only ask God for things.

So as a muslim family here in uk, talking and showing love(in the way of God) to your children is the key. reading the quran, studying islam and showing them the weak and strong points of other religion. once u build your children from home with fear of God insha ALLAH, nothing can shake them outside.

at d moment, they r taking part in the christmas activities at school so is no problem for me. they no better.

some christians r so naive, they r abusive and remember, this is muslim thread.

^ u lots just read my story but refuse to answer my question. i said:

WHEN I AM 65 YEARS OLD MY HUSBAND WILL BE 77 YEARS OLD, I WILL LET HIM MARRY ANOTHER WOMAM, DOES THAT MAKE ME A GOOD MUSLIM WOMAN JUST LIKE PROPHET(PBUH)'S WIVES.
Islam for Muslims / Re: Muslim Singles, Let Us Have A Talk by missbola1(f): 12:52pm On Dec 04, 2012
Jarus: Did you say you're 65 years old?

no i said WHEN i am 65 years.

is that ok? to let him marry another women when i am 65 and he will me 77?
Islam for Muslims / Re: Muslim Singles, Let Us Have A Talk by missbola1(f): 12:50pm On Dec 04, 2012
maclatunji: ^Hold-on a second! How do you transform from daddy's girl in church to the loving Muslim wife in this your story? Whether you are good Muslim wife or not I cannot tell. Allah knows and maybe your husband. tongue grin

funny.

i was born as a muslim in nigeria then m y dad brought me here(london) wen i was 12 and his wife at dat time goes to church and he said i should go wit them. i was attending these church but my faith was in doubt. i always knew that Jesus(PBUH) wasn't God and I used to argue wit them. but thanks to ALLAH that HE brought me back to islam wen i met my husband. he too was born as a muslim them went to chuch and do juju and all that rubbish things but then the bible led him to Quran.

i remember in our early days telling him that i will not become muslim just to piss him off. he use to preach to me, telling me islam is the only way. so i started reading the quran byself and then i knew ALLAH intervened in my life. i started to cover my head, dressing modestly, no male friends, no handshake (still struggle wit dat), no hugging, i neva used to drink alcohol, pray 5times, etc.

i know some people that are muslims while going to my changes, they never encourange me to be better muslim (if i was going to become christians, u will see how people r ready to help) but i watch videos on youtube, read books my husband bought me. i can tell u that i've seen lot of miraculous things that happen in my life after becoming muslim. ALLAH has done so much building my faith that i am able to talk and defend islam in gatherings.

dressing modestly and covering my head that has transform my life. just yesterday on my way out, some guy in the car calling me and telling me that i look so beautiful bear in mind that i completely covered my whole body and not wearing tight outfit. i'm not braging but almost every time i go out to parties, i get comment about my clothes/dressing even from my christian friends. covering up doesn't means looking dull. i love fashion and i know what to wear. everytime i dress up, my husband get excited (if u know what i mean).
i don't even have a muslim friends that are covering up or practising, d rest are christains but still i still stand out from them in dressing.

i tell u this; my husband friend always tell me and my husband that he want a wife, i will ask him like who, he would say someone like me that covering up, practise islam, can cook, look beautiful like me and satisfy his man. since then my husband lessen his visits to our house. lol

ALL PRAISE ARE FOR ALLAH!
