See ehn ji Chang wook and sunhwa are two very somehow people in this backstreet rookie, at first I actually wanted to understand them, there are people who date for so long that they feel they have something to prove, even when the relationship is basically dead and feels like a boring chore, they still stay with each other cos they're too used to being a couple but these people can't even be classified in this category cos they aren't even close as far as I'm concerned, apart from the fact that they make each other insecure, he never met her parents, she doesn't know his house, his parents, his best friend so what exactly have you people been doing in a relationship of 2 years, like... So I am done with What's wrong with Secretary Kim, first few episodes dragged on for a while but picked up midway, by the time I got to the last two episodes, I wished it didn't have to be nearing the end.
Actor PSJ and actress PMY as usual, performed excellently well but I was more interested in the idea of having two lovers set up their lives and plan a lavish wedding than watching the two leads play out their characters. In a Romcom, chemistry is the number one thing for me, they really did well but I didn't buy it. Then the humour and lessons learned, such as how PSD can have a long term effect on people, especially children, WWWSK really tried sha.

How can I forget the steamy scene where PSJ had to undo PMY's shirt? That scene was hot! I watched it like 17 times, PSJ can do so many bad bad things in the other room, that's a given I also loved his goofy scenes, I literally had puppy eyes when PMY sent him a text saying "nae nampyeong" and he goes, "oh, my pink ovaries!" "Oh, my heart!".

Overall, drama is good but to me, rewatch value is almost zero, safe for the last two episodes and the hot scene, I am keeping them

Here comes the Sewaag drama, Weight Lifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo! Daebaek!!!!!

This very simple and pure drama got me in my feelings since I dropped WWWSK. Like, I have done a marathon on it three times already and i keep rewinding them catchy scenes...Aigooo!

Chemistry- 12/10, picture-10/10, plot- 5/10 but who cares? Nobody! Sports and Romance? Beautiful! Casting and execution- 199% OST? My heart has been going Kkumkunda! for some time now.

I remember seeing Nam Joo Hyuk in Scarlet heart, I thought to myself then, "this Namja is fwain! Would love to see him play a romcom in a lead role with a noona", dramagods seemed to have thought ahead of me. Boy is damn cute, I doubt anybody would have aced that character as he did. Very cute and adorable boy with mommy issues, soft on the inside but hard on the outside, falls helplessly in love with a not so good looking but charming and intriguing noona, who has all the strength he seems to be lacking on the inside, what a pure and simple yet powerful story they've perfectly executed there.

Lee Sung Kyuk seems to have a fiery and bubbly personality in real life, I love her already. She has such beautiful eyes for days! And her acting was very superb and "adoracute" in WLFKBJ. The other supporting characters did exceptionally well too, they contributed to making this very simple drama a masterpiece.

Kkumkundah! , and they just know when to bring in the OST, your heart will first be doing the kkumkundah before you even hear it , Aigooo, what is wrong with me?

This is a keep! You know i don't write long epistles if a drama doesn't cut it for me? There is beauty in simplicity, WLFKBJ affirmed it, love me some swagacouple, I love it, love it love it! I am still going to watch it again tonight.

I have never wished to fall asleep while seeing any korean drama as I have with What's wrong with secretary Kim?. I thought I could do 3 episodes for every night before retiring to bed since on Tuesday but I am still stuck at episode 5.

The two leads are acting very well but I think something is wrong with the story line or maybe I haven't gotten the hang of it yet.



On another note, how do I stop my obsession with SeGA? This is becoming scary

Saetbyul's character is still a hit for me, except for the fact that she's a homewrecker actively going for a guy who's in a relationship, even jo yi seo with all of her obsession didn't do that lol maybe cos she was able to threaten sae ro yi, anyway apart from the homewrecking bit, Saetbyul is pretty much awesome. I still don't like ji Chang wook's character, he's just a coward and a loser right now, you're dating someone for 2 years and the person is ashamed of you and won't introduce you to her family and you're just taking it, I was really hoping he would break up with her after seeing her having dinner with her family but nope, he decided to keep being a mumu, and it's not even as if he's crazy in love with the girl, he's been cheating on her emotionally since Saetbyul entered his life so what's the big deal. As for sunhwa, aigoo when will she ever play a non scummy girlfriend, she doesn't love jcw, she just wants to own him and the only reason she's telling her mom about him is cos she's threatened that Saetbyul will take her toy from her. I really really hope there's a redemption down the line for jcw's character cos this drama will just be a waste of time.

I am trying my possible best to disregard all the negative comments I am reading on Back street rookie. A lot of people are saying the same thing. Is it that bad? Remember his character was a stupid looser in the whole of Empress Ki but he grew to be adored by almost all. Maybe it's the same thing with his character in this drama, or I would like to think so.

Still not watching it till all episodes are aired.

Happy birthday dearest Ha Ji Won! She shares the same birthday with my brother, I knew she isn't my favourite K-actress for no good reason

So I binge watched Scarlet heart from Thursday. I was ready to cry loads of tears but the tears didn't come until the last few episodes, I realised how a light and funny story gradually turned into a depressing one. Everybody was just dying left right and center, the princes whose faces were always almost filled with mischievous laughter gradually faded in a very sad way. I missed the first few episodes when I got to the last episode. My only consolation is that I thought of it as a dream
Overall, it is a good and depressing drama.

So I moved on almost immediately, someone who has the same enthusiasm with Secret Garden recommended Fight For My Way and I totally digged it non stop, great drama loaded with punchline dialogues, very relatable, I went through all the emotional stress with the characters. I recognized their pain, sorrows and joy. Beautifully executed, excellent castings, nothing was overly dragged, straight to the point. I loved the four casts. Don't get me started with the children casts, I looked forward to seeing them at the end of the first few episodes. Young Ae Ra is feisty and funny as hell. Sulhee is pretty. The chemistry has an unbreakable ionic bond, it isn't forced, its beautiful and heartwarming.

I think Kim Ji Won finally solidified her place in my top two K-actress with this drama. What a fine actress she is. HJW & KJW? What's with me and Ji Won?
This is my first time seeing the male lead in a drama and he is good, will watch out for him.

I heard they got together and eventually got married after that drama. Never underestimate the power of shippers and unsolicited match makers(I am one of them BTW), they'd clamour for by force relationship with their incessant shipping and fan love, so much so these actors might think their love is made in heaven.


Now they have started pushing for Hyun Bin and SYJ, I might just knock somebody's head with my pointy shoe, nansense! Aigooooo!!!

But really HB and SYJ's chemistry is everything. I shipped them even before I watched CLOY or The negotiation. Watch their clips on The Swoon and if you still don't see the chemistry then

CLOY was only slightly overrated IMO. The cast did an excellent job, the dialogue was excellent and the story was a light but interesting one that doesn't happen everyday. Did it deserve to win best drama? No, and it didn't but it was still really good IMO.

Just to gauge, what dramas would you place on Secret garden's level? @MissCookie

Maybe I will get to see the chemistry you are talking about in other shows but in CLOY? I think it's just normal lead actor-actress relationship.


@the bolded, lol, I won't proud myself of watching many Korean dramas but I have truly seen some great ones. If "it doesn't deserve to win best drama", it isn't worth the hype that follows the best drama and if it doesn't deserve to win the best couple award for romcoms, then it isn't "it" for me. I don't know if I can put these two in exactly the same genre but I would watch Goblin a hundred times before seeing CLOY for the second time.

Talking about chemistry, what exactly did you watch Dearie if that chemistry is not believable then you just like secret garden too much and that clouded your judgment. LOL I really laughed very hard while watching some episodes but was it enough for the high rating?, I think Not.
CLOY no doubt casted excellent actors and actresses, who did very well in their individual roles and one could be forgiven to believe that this is one of the reasons the show was rated high, but I still did not see that chemistry between the lead actor and actress, maybe I was expecting too much.

I would also like to assign the reason for it's high rating to the political undertone in the drama, an expository about life in NK is not what you get to see in every drama, albeit it was a hellish and a depressing one.

When I said it is overrated, it is my opinion.

So I finished CLOY yesterday and I can't for the life of me understand why it was rated that much and why fans are pushing for HyunBin and Son Ye Jin's to kick off a real life relationship, I didn't see the connection really, just two amazing people and great actors. HJW and Hyun Bin connected more, in my own opinion.

As always, Hyun is a fine MAN, in every aspect of the meaning of MAN. So Dam is a beautiful and classy woman too, she doesn't even need to try, she exudes class. SYJ is pretty and I loved her dressing in SK. So Dam's mother is a clown, I loved her. Then, Seri's first sister in-law, she is pretty and likeable too.

How did they portray NK as this hell of hopelessness? I know there was a disclaimer but I can't help but wish the residents of NK well. They are truly trying. I would have renounced my citizenship and moved to SK had I been in their shoes. All they think about is power power power, any little thing, they'll just kill somebody. The hostility is too much there, how are they surviving?


CLOY, just like Descendants of the Sun, is so over rated with a semi beautiful ending, if not for the beautiful Hyun Bin and few other things, I'd have stopped half way. I can't waste the little space in my hard disk saving CLOY. Thank God I have Secret Garden to always go back to.

It is time I cried a river, Scarlet Heart is next, will start up this weekend. Older Korean dramas rock!

1)Tanya * Tagon : listennnnnn. Taealha and Tagon are a power couple already but if Tanya and him get together?!!! Hallelujah! They'll own the world....literally! This was my first ship (sorry Eunseom).

2)Tanya * Saya : my heart. Saya is manipulative yes but he's so deliciously in love with her and he's so baby sometimes and the way he feels after she tells him off doing something evil....sigh. I ship her with Saya more than Eunseom (again, sorry Eunseom).

3)Tanya * Yancha : well helloooooo, when Tagon ordered him to protect her they were having MOMENTS COMMON! I'm not making this up....I promise. When he found out that she could read his mind and was trying to hide his thoughts lewl then they started communicating without him saying a word...my heart....I think Tanya should just start a harem of powerful men. She's powerful enough to handle them all *wiggles eyebrows*

4)Tanya * Eunseom : yes, they started off the story but I shipped them last and it's my weakest ship. I saw them more as siblings than love interests up until ES borrowed sense and started acting like the wang he is. Sigh.
