Family / Re: Opinion: Choose Who You Want Between Me And Your Mother- Very Silly Question by MissMakas(f): 1:31pm On Mar 16, 2015
JoeCutie:
I think this love of a thing is more than how we view it sometimes. I think how much you love people again, has to do with how important they are to you. How valuable. If it's a wife who causes you pain all the time and without showing enough remorse, even if you have an impeccable and unquestionable love for her, it's only natural that this love would diminish or even die off over time.

It's easier to love our parents for the obvious reasons. With our partners, it's different, as there's no natural and biological inclination there. It's just a totally different journey - adventure - which the both of you have agreed to take up.

I for one, am hoping to love my mum and my wife equally. And I've every reason to... Unless any of them proves otherwise. smiley
Well said. You're always on point. Nice points. smiley

Romance / Re: Is It Okay For Married Couples To Make Love Before Going To Church? by MissMakas(f): 10:01pm On Mar 13, 2015
People are funny.

I just asked a simple question which I'm confused about, and instead of people politely helping out with answers and opinions, they are bashing.

Kudos.

Family / Re: Why Do Men Cheat? by MissMakas(f): 9:56pm On Mar 13, 2015
JoeCutie:
Oh, men cheat? Wow!

Just know this. It's a simple logic:
Whenever a man cheats, a woman (most probably) cheats too. If a man in a relationship/marriage cheats, he cheats with another woman who is most probably (not always the case, hence, "probably" ) in a relationship/marriage too.

It would be fair enough to say, "People cheat", and not this annoying and unnecessarily customary "Men cheat".

Dear ladies, the very moment you stop blaming the men over every damn thing that happens (to you - even your nature-given monthly menstrual periods), you'd start finding answers to your numerous problems. Enough of this stupid "blame the (other) man" mentality. It's stale already. undecided
Spoken like a boss. Absolutely spot on. smiley

Happy 10th Anniversary, Nairaland.

Congratulations to you, Seun Osewa. Despite all the hitches, you still manage to keep it all going. It's never easy, but you're succeeding. Kudos.

Congratulations to the team who have strongly backed the oga at the top - the moderators, who have worked very hard in seeing that things are moving smoothly. Well done.

Congratulations to all of us here. We are all wonderful people, men and women of goodwill. This site has been able to stand, hugely because of us all. It's a thing of joy to have a largely visited and appreciated site like this, that we could call our own. We've all helped in sparkling a fire that's blazing very fast and high into the sky. Let that fire never go off.

Thank you to Missterious, my best friend, the one & only love of my life, my dearest, who introduced me to this fun-filled family a few years ago. And since then, it's been nothing but fun. Thanks, Yum. kiss

Congratulations to all the great friends I've made here:

Shout out to Missmossy. The very first real friend and somewhat confidante I made here. I'm crazy, I'm stupid, I'm childish, but I appreciate you more than you ever think. Thanks, dearie, for everything. You're a darling. I never forget.

Worthy mention goes to MissMakas, my childhood friend and sweetheart. Welcome to Nairaland, dearie.

I miss FlawlessS and Mayapop. They should be here, but they are not. embarassed

May the fun, the joy and the fulfillment we derive from here, extend to our real life endeavors, and may they transcend into something great, to the greater glory of God.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United vs Arsenal: FA Cup (1 - 2) On 9th March 2015 by MissMakas(f): 7:34am On Mar 10, 2015
JoeCutie:
See Arsenal fans!

10 years and nothing. You later won one FA cup, and you want to eclipse Chelsea fans whom you've always accused of making noise in shouting? That's the effect of winning. Don't forget that. You don't shut up when you're winning. You only shut up when you're not winning, and it's obvious you've nothing to talk about.

Arsenal have been without trophies for approximately 10 years, and within those 10 years, Chelsea have been sweeping in the trophies from all cylinders - home and abroad. So it's only natural that Arsenal fans would go cold, while Chelsea fans take the center stage. Now, Arsenal FC is gradually coming up again, and their fans are sprouting again. It's not humility or pride on the part of Arsenal fans and Chelsea fans respectively. It's just how the beautiful game makes you feel. Even when you want to control it, you still can't. It's the effect of winning. Enjoy this feeling when your team is giving it to you.

Congratulations to all Arsenal fans. You deserve it.

I talked to you about starting a blog last year, what are you waiting for? Don't let this chance slip away, Ob. It could be a football blog, you know... And you can do it. You have all it takes.

Meanwhile, I went through your diary last night. You're simply good. I'm happy you still have that fire and spark to make people laugh and happy. It's in you. And thanks too, for that special and resounding welcome. smiley

Romance / Is It Okay For Married Couples To Make Love Before Going To Church? by MissMakas(f): 1:00am On Mar 09, 2015
I was at my friend's place the other, and I experienced something I'm confused about. My friend got married last year, and they were to go for thanksgiving for their One Year (wedding) Anniversary, and she invited me and some other friends of ours. The day's mass was supposed to be by 6am, and by 5am I had already woken up to start preparing for Church. As I was about going into the bathroom, I heard noise. It was my friend moaning...as early as 5:20 am when the time for mass was just 40 minutes away. I was surprised. Though I absolutely have no problem with what they do and how they choose to do them, I still find it kind of awkward and somehow, ungodly? I don't know.

I didn't tell or ask my her though, because she might just misunderstand me or even misinterpret the whole thing. I decided to throw it open to the floor here.

Is is okay for married couples to make love just before going to Church? Thanks. smiley
