New N50 notes to monument Nigeria's 50th anniversary? That can't be all.

I want to be as hopeful as this poster.
Can Nigeria draw a line in the sand and mark the 50 year mark a significant truning point? The point when we look back and say that was the beginning of the breakthrough to Nigeria's economic superpower and greatness.

G. Jonathan and Sanusi Lamido

Abuja, Sept. 29, 2010 President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday launched the redesigned N50 commemorative note and non-circulating coins to mark the 50 years of Nigeria as an independent State.

President Goodluck Jonathan, today, formally launched the N50 commemorative notes and non circulating coins, as part of activities to mark Nigeria’s 50th independence anniversary.

The new note is expected to exist side by side with the old one, while the coins will serve as souvenirs during the anniversary.

The launch was done during a brief Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, which lasted for just about 48 minutes, and was presided over by the president.

While speaking at the occasion, the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, stated that the new note, which is designed to commemorate the anniversary, is obviously the same with the circulating N50.

The only difference, he noted, is the addition of the 50th anniversary logo, a gold iridescent band, and a goodwill message written in varnish.

“The new note will circulate side by side with the existing N50 polymer notes. While some of the commemorative coins are produced in 22 carat gold, others are gold plated silver.”

Mohammed should be made to pay the piper, squarely- son of a politician or not.
This is a case of a man who isn't capable of controlling his temperament or taking the right decisions and, if these defects of his happen to drive him into a big mess as this, he must take responsibilities for his action.

He wasn't even cheated on. . . . Martha cheated on Umar, with him [Mohammed].
If it were a legal case, strictly based on a First Come-First Serve policy, he [Mohammed] would have been the losing party.

The blame is all Mohammed's [Yea, it's always a mohammed that does things like this  tongue]. Not Martha's. . . Not Umar's.

Lastly, if rotting in hell would prevent a similar occurrence, then it would be great gratification to have him thrown in the hottest part.

All Nigerians drink Agbo kè?
My people don't see Agbo as refreshment [ I suppose]
The first and only time I was made to drink it, I puked. Very bitter. . . .Yuck!
I guess the agbo we're talking about here, is that yellowish liquid, that is believed to be medicinal.

We have to give kudos when kudos is due! Our Nigerian brother and sisters never miss any opportunity to turn any event into a “red carpet event”.
