Sports › Will Kanu Regret His Comments About Bafana? by mistabiola(op): 10:05am On Nov 19, 2014
SLTV got an Exclusive interview with
Nwankwo Kanu, former Arsenal player and
Nigerian International.
In the short clip, that you can watch by clicking
the link below, Kanu went on to say that
Nigeria are not scared of South Africa and that
they are at home when they play against us.
He also went on to say that South Africa lack
passion when playing against African national
teams, which is why we only play well against
teams like Spain.
Bafana have already qualified for AFCON 2015
before Nigeria, finishing top of Group A and
have done so by only conceding one goal in
five matches without losing a single game so
far.
Will Kanu regret his comments?

Politics › Jonathan, Mark, Others Meet Over Extension Rule Controversy by mistabiola(op): 7:03pm On Nov 18, 2014
President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday met behind
closed-doors with the leadership of the Senate inside the
Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting held a few hours after some senators rose
against the President’s decision to extend the emergency
rule declared in three North Eastern states of Adamawa,
Borno and Yobe over the activities of the Boko Haram sect.
The decision to extend the emergency rule, which was taken
during the National Defence Council meeting on Monday,
was communicated to the National Assembly on Tuesday.
There were reports of disagreement among the lawmakers
on the desirability of the extension of the emergency rule in
the affected states, which have continued to witness
relentless onslaught by members of the sect.
The senators were led to the parley with the President by the President of the Senate, David Mark.
Others in the meeting included the Deputy President of the
Senate, Ike Ekweremadu; Senate Leader, Victor Ndoma-
Egba; Deputy Leader, Abdul Ningi; and the Minority Leader,
George Akume, among others.
All the senators arrived and left the Presidential Villa in a
convoy without talking to State House correspondents.
A source in the Presidency, however, said the meeting was a troubleshooting effort by the President to ensure that his
request to extend the emergency rule scaled through at the
National Assembly.
