Interview Definition

Types of Interview

One-on-One Interviews.

This interview method is the most common, and requires a one-on-one sit-down with the interviewer in an arranged office or venue. Generally, the interviewer will consider a host of factors like physical appearance, dressing, communication skills (verbal and non-verbal), confidence, etc. You may not be meeting with the final decision maker, but leave a mark by selling yourself convincingly to the interviewer.

Screening

Panel Interviews

This is a type of interview whereby an interview committee or multiple people are involved in the interview. The candidate will face a panel of interviewers at the same time. Phone Interviews

For one reason or the other (distance, time or some other obstacles), an employer may decided to conduct interview over the phone. Group Interviews

In a group interview, the interviewer will interview all candidates in groups or at the same time. Because they are not so effective, they are rarely used. Remember to always introduce yourself to the group in a polite manner. Attempt to respond first to a few questions; however, don’t dominate the whole interview. Let other candidates too have a chance to give their own responses and thoughts.

Sometimes, what you see outside is not what you find inside.

Hours after his wedding, Prince James was headed for the courts to divorce his wife. His reason? His new bride’s buttocks were not as big as he had imagined.
