Well it happened in 2014 Batch B' Orientation in Anambra State. We were paid our first allowee after passing out from camp.

Well the camp is located at Umunya. It is a temporary site, which means the place used to be or is still a secondary school.
To be honest, no good toilet facilities (prepare for "shortput", at least in the male hostels, I don't know about the females'.
There are taps are several locations in the camp, but prepare for very long queues at any service point.
Things in the camp market are generally expensive, you pay for everything, even stamping of documents. I must not forget the photocopying, please do those at home.
Carry enough money, if you don't like camp food, but the food is generally manageable sha.

The soldiers are somewhat friendly, but don't cross the front of their quarters.

You would have fun in the camp.
Don't forget to bring copies of your certificates (BSc or HND), callup etc.

The place is safe.

We should be careful of the people we keep as close friends, yes. But not necessarily about associating freely with others. It's not as if they'd corrupt us if we share a few chit chat with others.

The only downside for me as an introvert is the inability to make friends easily.

I'm sure if most of the people here complaining of cancellation of camp were to be in camp right now, they would thank NYSC for cancelling it.

Nothing beats being adequately prepared for any examination(s). Prepare with similar test materials as the one you'd be facing in the Aptitude Test proper.

Don't leave your preparations to the final minutes(or days) of your test, always prepare ahead of time - this would improve your confidence in tackling the questions.

Makes you wonder why these network operators can sell 8gb for 7.5k but can't sell 1gb for 1k. This is probably real as I am using a similar plan, though I can vouch for the Op.

Moreover, I have since learnt that people's behaviours and their reactions to situations are based on their previous personal experiences. I therefore try to look at such from their own point of view before making conclusions or engaging in arguments. Someone that was abused and molested as a kid and another that was loved and cherished would sure have different views on life, parenting, roles of women and of course sex. Just try and understand WHY before you engage.

I like your view points, and the tact with which you present them. You'd make a terrific team leader. Kudos!

I have no idea. Though the summarized version [hard copy] costs less than 5 hundred or thereabout. The full book shouldn't be more than 3K; you can download the e-version at no cost.
